Guest Reviews
- Sara (8/5): Very good - The cleaners must have used an old rag when they cleaned the apartment before us. It smelled like an old mop in the apartment our whole stay.
- Martin (9/5): Comfortable stay in a well positioned apartment allowing access to all of Malaga's attractions. - Good sized and well furnished apartment in a very good location for shops, restaurants, historic town, museums etc. Couple of minor issues with the fixtures were resolved by a helpful set of support staff. They have an office nearby if you wish to talk face to face and also which offers luggage storage.
The beach is also not too far (around 10/15 mins walk) if that is your thing. It can be a bit noisy. There is a nightclub across a narrow street that seems to operate all night at weekends and late into the night at other times. Light sleepers should take earplugs! However this is a small inconvenience compared to all the positive aspects of this property.
- Wioleta (10/5): Lovely apartment! - The apartment is lovely and has everything we needed. Lots of space and great location in the centre which means it's a bit noisy but you have all the bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. No issues with hot water in the shower. Very close to a supermarket. Staff very responsive and friendly! Bath plug was missing but we forgot to ask. I'm sure they would have resolved it.
Noise from the street at night but that's normal in the city centre.
- Pamela (6/5): Beware of the club opposite and the building site next door. - This was a very nice apartment, with a lovely big lounge and dining room with a proper dining table and a well-equipped small kitchen. The bathroom was quite small with a shower over the bath, but was adequate. Both bedrooms were a decent size, but could have done with more bedding as it was unseasonably cold when we were there in February, however as there was just the two of us we borrowed a quilt from the other bedroom. There was a lift to the apartment, which was on the second floor which helped a lot with bringing up our luggage. We were met at the apartment with the keys and given a quick tour. although more information within the apartment about how things worked and where to find the switches if you trip the electricity would have been helpful (especially as this happened to us twice when we were cooking) The real problems with this apartment were noise issues. Although it mentions an inner courtyard in the blurb, the only part of the apartment facing this is the front door. The apartment is on the corner of the building with the lounge windows overlooking the square, which has a children's playground in it and was not a problem noise-wise. However, both the bedrooms were on the side of the building running down an alleyway to the main street. On this alleyway, opposite the bedrooms, was a club entrance called Olivers. The club was only open for one night while we were there and that was Saturday night which was the start of carnival week. We couldn't hear any sounds coming out of the club, but unfortunately when people came out of the club they tended to stand underneath our bedroom window talking and laughing very loudly and as the club seemed to be open all night, this started at 5am and continued until about 8am when the club finally closed. I would imagine that things can only get worse in the summer when it is warmer at night. The other issue, which was probably even worse, was that the rest of the block down the side alleyway was being renovated. This seemed to be involving ripping out everything internally back to the bare walls, so we were awoken at about 8.30 am every weekday by banging and crashing and on two days, really noisy drilling which sounded like they were just about to come through the bathroom wall and was completely unbearable.
- Tore (8/5): Very good - All REMS contact persons were super! 10/10
