Guest Reviews
- Annette (10/5): Warm and welcoming, would book again - Beautiful presented, warm and welcoming We couldn’t fault anything
- Nigel (7/5): If the hearing and plumbing issues could be fixed by the owner this would be an excellent property - Location is good , quiet , tree lined street . The property management company was excellent in dealing with issues that could be fixed . The beds were very comfy , quality linen , towels etc . Large modern kitchen kitchen . Unfortunately the house has some issues that made our stay reasonably uncomfortable . The worst of these issues is a plumbing problem in the bathroom. A putrid sewage type smell engulfed the bathroom, some days it was unbearable other days bearable . It appears this isn’t a new issue as there was evidence previous guests had attempted to tape up vents under the bath . The owner needs to Address this problem ASAP, I imagine a not so cheap fix. Second issue is the heating . Dubbo is cold , the house has one split system A/C in the kitchen , another is a sleep out type bedroom which we didn’t use , a wood fire place and two portable electric radiator type heaters . Unfortunately the kitchen A/C unit takes two plus hours to heat the entire house , it also needs the help of the portable radiator heaters . If you run the kettle Microwave and have the radiator heater on in the lounge the draw trips the power circuit , which is a real hassle to reset in zero degrees as the meter box is outside . We never bothered with the wood fire , maybe if you’re prepared to buy a lot of firewood this heater may keep the house warm . House could have been cleaner, glasses dirty , crumbs in draws , crumbs dust under the sofa , rest of the house was acceptably clean. No dryer .
