- cornwall (10/5): - The view is absolutely amazing. We were lucky to score the front bedroom with the view. It is a share house. But we had it to ourselves. The driveway. It's very steep n you have to turn on a tiny area. If there was a second car there I in the garage don't know how it would go.

Place was spotless too, living room was comfortable to catch a movie or two. We ended up extending another night. Check in was also fuss free, great communication with hosts.

That base. it would appear that it was a misunderstanding about the facilities. we had no idea the entire house was available for use. nowhere was that explained. We thought it was just the room (which was in isolation was Base)

- Luka (2/5): Very poor - 'extremely strange mcmansion with horrible vibe. Everything was weird. Even the furnishings and sheets were weird. Worst of all, there was such an intensity of artificial scents that I got my first ever migraine. We opened every window in the house for hours and nothing helped. Absolutely do not stay here under any circumstances. House should be sold to a family to renovate it and occupy it as a family home.

Small refrigerator in room and large shared one in shared Kitchen area. Other guests were quiet and respectful of each other‘s privacy. The hosts were very responsive. They came over quickly to provide replacement batteries for AC remote. Flexible check in. The driveway was quite steep. It felt tight for three guest cars to fit. But in any case street parking would also be available. There was a slight communication challenge at times – The hosts used translation apps on the phone to facilitate communication (Chinese/English.)

I didn't have a vehicle with me, but the parking looked fairly tight and limited. The apartment has shared general spaces, I was in one with a private bathroom. Everything was clean and the area relatively quiet, which was important for me. Great shower pressure, which is always an added bonus. Amazing view from the shared balcony and very easy check in/out process. I would stay at this property again, it definitely fitted the purpose of my visit and was priced reasonably for what you get. The window from my room looked out onto the washing line, backyard area, so I didn't feel comfortable leaving them open for lots of natural light. The window beside the toilet, also looked out directly onto a path around the home, so it also needed to be left closed.

- Tim (9/5): Lovely room, great views! - I like the self check in process. My room was gorgeous and well appointed. I loved the spa bath and the desk in my room. The views from the house are lovely! It's great having a full kitchen available and somewhere to sit on the balcony to enjoy the views. The only thing I feel could be improved would be the guidance around parking. When I arrived there was already one car parked in the double-garage. There is a turning bay which clearly instructs not to park there, but it wasn't immediately obvious if I was ok to park in the remaining space in the garage - I knew the house could host multiple guests so I wasn't sure if the park was available for me. In the end, some other guests came and and after chatting with them I felt it was ok to park in the spare space in the garage, which turned out to be fine. I think it would be great in communications to make it clear where guests can park.

It was in complete darkness when we arrived. Mid-winter, it would’ve been nice to have the lights and heater on. My daughter’s room (which was booked last minute) wasn’t very clean with towels hanging in the wardrobe and hair and dirt on the bathroom floor.

- Sharon (8/5): A very relaxing break away with breathtaking views. - The views from the home were amazing. Everything was neat and well organized. It was easy to find the house, and the place was clean and had all the amenities we needed. It was very quiet and peaceful. We were glad that we were the only people staying there, as it may not have been as quiet and peaceful if other people were also staying at the same place as there was a share kitchen. It was a shame that there wasn't a kettle for making tea/coffee available in the rooms.

Very strange payment method - they requested physical cash (which is already frustrating) but did not explain how/when this would be collected, so we had to reach out after we checked in when they still had not told us. They said they would send staff over to collect the money who didn’t arrive until 3 hours later (when we were out). They then offered a bank transfer anyway, so clearly just trying to dodge the booking fee - just generally unprofessional. Also, since the bathroom is shared, it wouldn’t hurt to at least have a mirror in the bedroom.

After much to and from with the agent, I stayed and the others left. Also the kitchen setup isn’t great. A wok station, deep fryer station and 2 burners. Oven didn’t work and they tried to pass off an air fryer as an oven.

Kitchen adequately equipped. The owner was very accommodating in terms of early and late check-outs. Wi-fi was good. I liked the place so much and I went back and stayed again This was not a problem for me as I was driving but the place is in residential area away from main center. Keep this in mind if you don't have a car.

- Frank (5/5): Great views and reasonable location, but not perfect. - My friend and I booked 2 rooms at this property at the end of November 2023. He was in the large room with a private balcony overlooking the Derwent and I was in a room out the back with my own bathroom, but without a view. The view from his room was great and he also had a spa bath. My room was clean and comfortable. Rooms had drinking water in them when we arrived and there was limited tea/coffee. The view from the communal lounge room was great. The Location was okay as it gave you access to Sandy Bay attractions and outlets. His room had issues with his TV that the local person was unable to fix. My room didn't have a TV, so my only complaint was the shower connection wasn't secure and water was spraying out everywhere. Communal kitchen and lounge area made cooking or watching TV a little awkward. Car parking was really difficult to get to and cramped; parking on the road meant a climb up a steep area to get to the house. Something older people might struggle with.
