They are liars and try to blame something that they did on you as a guest and try to charge you for it Unprofessionalism!!! I missed work to handle the mishap and miscommunication of a booking on their end; wanted to charge me over $1,000 for something I didn’t do, they tried to tell me to leave my personal belongings and luggage and a maid will savory my things out!!! You should never be moving guests luggage’s and items!! They also make you book your extension of stay through APPLE PAY!!! And screenshot it and send email of payment like some drug ring! “ Eugene “ tried to have me book per night and charge via Apple Pay to stay in a unit he had that was “off market” and not even posted as he uses one room for “storage”. This place is NOT SAFE!!!!!!!! They stole over $2k from my card and bank account and state it’s “non refundable” from booking.com
• Karima (8/5): Bonne expérience - Bon emplacement si on aime Downtown LA. Proche du métro Pershing Square. Whole foods est à 15-20 min à pied. Immeuble historique. L'appartement est agréable et spacieux. La literie confortable. Cuisine équipée. Lave linge et sèche linge. Merci à Eugène pour son aide !Equipe à distance mais trés réactive. Certaines fenêtres ou portes ne ferment pas bien. Le ménage pourrait être fait plus consciencieusement. Ex: Des assiettes sales laissées dans le lave vaisselle. L'eau chaude met parfois du temps à arriver. Pas pratique pour la douche et sentiment de gâcher de l'eau. En comparaison, les prestations sont meilleures au The Winfield Sonder ou j'ai séjourné plusieurs fois et qui est désormais fermé. Il faut juste quelques ajustements pour faire de cet établissement quelque chose de vraiment très bien.

• Richard (2/5): Avoid like the plague - The only positive to the room was a washing machine/tumble dryer and wifi Poor location...it's 30/40 mins to tourist sites...the apartment is a million miles from luxury as advertised....the coffee machine and microwave had tripped out (fixed after 2 days)..ironing board broken (replaced on day 3)..bare sockets/wires exposed...mismatched plates/bowls/glasses...the floor was wooden throughout apart from the bathroom which was bare concrete...the place needs completely repainting...window frames were rotting...the windows sills were filthy....shower very basic..mould around the bath....and the noise at night unbearable (reported and was offered earplugs)..the music played till 3am..them when you do finally get to sleep the sun shines through the pathetic blinds (no curtains) so we got about 5 hrs sleep each night at best....not safe to walk round at night time (several residents gave us that warning)..whoever advertises this as a luxury apartment needs suing under trades description....this building is a 1 star at best...AVOID AT ALL COSTS...and before anyone says "theres always 1 that complains" I have the photos to prove what I'm saying......could not wait to check out and we were there for just 5 days

• Jann (7/5): A faded reminder of better times - Everything was clean and there were plates, spices, and cooking utensils. It was complete. The 19th century architecture of the building is lovely. I feel like the building was run-down, and poorly maintained. There is no free parking, the neighbors were loud and smoked marijuana, the smell seeping into our room. The area seems dangerous to go out into, you're always in yellow alert, and there's no security in the building.
• Uta (7/5): Es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. - Zentrale Lage mit Nähe zur Metro. Dachterrasse war ein Traum und genial zum Abschalten vom Stadtgewimmel. Wenig Besteck und Geschirr. Ein Fenster konnten wir nicht komplett verschließen, somit war der Straßenlärm sehr deutlich zu hören.

If you like real life, skid row and The Cecil hotel are 2 min walk. Happy hour from 18.30 till 22.00 on a Thursday on the roof terrace .... free drink x not as scarey as people will have you believe x As its a residential apartment block the concierge is no help. The fob to enter main entrance is very temperamental. You need to unplug the tv all the time to reconnect to the WiFi and once you leave your room you have no WiFi.

• Kelsey (1/5): Nightmare, not worth the cost. - Comfortable memory foam bed. Big space. Great rooftop with jacuzzi and pool. Nice views from the rooftop. Overall a very stressful stay. Parking is an extra cost $30/night. Not easy to get into the building, had to call multiple times. We’re stuck outside either our luggage, it was only 6:30pm when we checked in. Key fob doesn’t let you into the building. The apartment has terrible lighting, like white sterile lighting and looks kinda run down. There was no hot water for the showers, and there was a smoke alarm beeping for 2 days that no one fixed even after we reported it twice. Honestly that was the worst part, we had to sleep with ear plugs in. Fire pits on rooftop couldn’t be turned on by anyone, the building staff didn’t know what to do. One of the times we came down the elevator we started coughing uncontrollably and were told someone had released pepper spray in the elevator and lobby. WTF. This hotel stay literally pepper sprayed us. Like, what a nightmare.
• Davar (5/5): Mediocre At Best - Proximity to my work destination The building and the Apt. is in need of many improvements: 1. The fob does not allow access to the building. If the entry doors are not open OR the Bldg. Mgmt. Rep is not present in the lobby (as in many instances), you have to wait for someone to enter/exit the building in order for me to enter the building. Alternatively, I was asked by the HWH Mgmt. to call/text them so they can grant me access (very inconvenient) 2. the fob did not work in the primary elevator to reach the Apt. So, I had to devise a work-around to go the 5th floor where the Apt. is located. 3. Because I went to work very early (4-5am), it took 20-30 minutes for the water in the shower to warm up 4. The Google Home App & devices in the Apt. don't work. (admitted by my HWH contact) 5. Although the house rules prohibit parties, the building residents DO party and because of the building design (central courtyard) the noise magnifies and is very disturbing at night 6. The Apt. was clean but with very few amenities: Yes, there is a washer & dryer in the unit, but no laundry detergent. Yes, there are towel available, but not floor mat in the bathroom. There is a refrigerator, but the ice connection is not connected - so no ice in the Apt. The air conditioning/heater, because of the fact that it's a heat pump, takes hours to change the temperature of the Apt. by just 3-4 degrees 7. No cutting board. I used a plate as a cutting board but the marble countertop is marked with many knife markings (not good) - please add a cutting board! 8. The kitchen counter lights have a hidden power strip above the range - difficult to find for the average person 9. The HWH contact person is full of "helpful" work-arounds - that means the issues I communicated to him were persistent over some time WITHOUT a permanent solution having been reached. 10. Paragon Parking Service that operates the lots attached and adjacent to the building is in poor repair.

In desperate need of proper repairs. Leaking roofs, broken appliances, broken lighting and fixtures, damaged flooring.
• Lakisha (8/5): Perfect Location! - The location was great. Sonia was attentive to all of my messages. The layout of the apartment was nice and spacious. The sliding doors were cool and provided a nice intimate level of privacy. The walls need to be painted to update the unit as well as the second bedroom could use a source of air, like a fan. We were not provided face towels and had to make due with the large towels provided.

• Hailey (5/5): Overall glad we found it. - Our options were completely limited as another booking cancelled on us two days before the trip date. We were in town for a popular convention and so all local hotels were booked or so pricey it was out of the question. We were kinda screwed but thankfully were able to find this place. It was a good location to where we needed to go. Bed was comfortable, in unit laundry was a blessing. Taking home all clean clothes was definitely a vacation first. The bathtub was HUGE and was so nice for sore muscles and feet. Ac worked amazingly. Overall it was clean. I liked the pull out wall our unit had between the bedroom and living room. It was very easy to Uber to and from and wasn't too expensive. The parking wasn't super pricey either. The gym was nice and had a ping pong table. Rooftop offered grills as well as big tables to sit at. Told them I would be there at exactly 3pm at 2:15 day of arrival they responded "perfect" but upon arriving we waited 15 minutes after texting then gave up and called for a response. When taken up to the room we were then told to stay in the room for him to find the key saying "please stick around for like 10 minutes" then proceeded to take 50 minutes to find and bring us the key. The TV was already on and on YouTube paused with some music when we got in and it smelled like marijuana pretty loudly. That was kinda weird. The room constantly kinda just smelled like cologne and cigarettes. The wall socket in the living room ticked like a clock which definitely didn't feel super safe as well as the far bedroom socket not working at all. We did not ask to get that fixed though because we were in town for a convention and were always out of the room by 6am and back in late at night or only for a little bit. So I can't really complain. Huge thing was the road noise for our room was HORRIBLE it was like the windows are completely open and you're on the ground floor, it's insane. I slept with ear plugs in and still got woken up several times from loud LA noises. I know this is completely out of their control but bring earplugs because you won't be able to sleep otherwise. The rooftop pool is only 3 feet deep. The person we had with us opted to just sleep on the couch as the pull out bed in the couch was very uncomfortable.
