Guest Reviews
- Kathryn (10/5): - We loved our stay at La Cabine. We found it very safe, quiet, bright, clean and comfortable. Had everything we needed. The owners were responsive, courteous, and kind. It was an easy 20 minute walk to the beach, grocery store and even closer to two really amazing cafés. We enjoyed taking the local bus to Rye, Rosebud and Sorrento and renting a car to visit the hot springs and more scenic beaches, lookouts and towns nearby. We would definitely return to this accommodation when back in Mornington peninsula!
- abelink (10/5): Perfect getaway, good value for money. - Perfect location for a quiet weekend getaway. The place is tastefully decorated and has everything we needed to enjoy a short stay. The hosts were very responsive and booking instructions were very clear. Loved the record player and vintage records available. Nothing to complain about.
- Madison (10/5): - Perfect distance from attractions (beach, cafes, restaurants), clean and comfortable space for 2 people
- Lokesh (10/5): 10/10 - The whole setup was just amazing and so easy to access, it was so easy to get a hold of the hosts as well when needed. everything was good
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Emma (5/5): - We stayed at La Cabine while the location was excellent and very close to everything we wanted to see, our experience was unfortunately not ideal.
When we arrived, the gate wouldn’t open despite following the instructions provided. We were stuck outside for around 20 minutes trying to contact the owner, who didn’t answer the phone. We eventually had to ask the neighbours for help, and they kindly gave us a spare key to get in. The gate still wasn’t fixed during our stay, so we had to leave it unlocked the whole time.
Inside the cabin, there was constant loud banging coming from the side wall, almost like something structural or within the foundation, which made the stay feel a bit unsettling. There were also no basic amenities like tea or coffee provided, which felt unusual for this type of accommodation.
Overall, the location was excellent but the issues with access, lack of response from the host, and the strange banging noise made the stay less comfortable than we expected.

- Soakimi (10/5): - Cozy and private. Close to several towns with great eating options however, you still feel far away from it all.
- Patricia (9/5): My stay was wonderful — cozy, peaceful, and just what I needed lovely and relaxing stay -
- Zac (10/5): Amazing service, great hosts and very accommodating! - Accomodation was easy to find, close to everything and spacious for the size. Nothing really, birds kept on flying into the windows though.
- Kerri (9/5): - The privacy

- Dominique (10/5): Exceptional - We loved this light-filled spacious well-designed studio in a quiet garden setting. Superb bathroom and fresh kitchenette- great attention to detail and cleanliness through out. A short drive to the hot springs, top golf courses and beach. Communication with host was friendly and uncomplicated. We had a wonderful stay.
- Vy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mele (10/5): Happy first time holiday for a new couple - It was cosy and homey. Very accommodating and the host was extremely communicative and helpful
- Isabella (9/5): Cosy - Loved the modern-touch - very well set up, very comfy bed, beautiful bathroom, very clean, great location, easy access (liked that I didn't need to bring a key every time I left the house). Wifi did not show up as an option on settings - would have been easier to clean dishes, if there was a dishwasher too, but overall, great facilities.
- Miron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Justin (10/5): Perfect little hidden getaway!! - Beautiful little cabin in a perfect quiet location. Close to everything we needed for the weekend, including just a short drive to the beach, Hot Springs and some of the best golf courses in Australia. Absolutely nothing!! It was awesome and just what we needed
- Jasleen (10/5): Tranquillement - The vibe and ambience! So cozy Nothing, everything was great
- Jean (10/5): Exceptional - We love the place! It was private and very homey! We love the design and the bathroom is massive!
- Carlin (9/5): Lovely studio in great little town. - Lovely little studio. The bathroom is large and well designed. Shower is awesome. Had breakfast at the secret kitchen on recommendation from the owner, which was lovely. Nothing.
- Chris (7/5): Overpriced and overrated . - The cabin was clean and had a nice bathroom. There was no kitchen, no sink to wash anything so you had to use the bathroom, no plates , dishes or cutlery . No basic essentials such as tissues or fly spray for the mosquitos , it was quite a distance to anything including the water , the pillows were soft and unusable , I felt the price of the accomodation for what you get was not justified.
- M (10/5): Lovely - I loved the decoration, the aroma, the practicability and privacy of the space. I would have liked to have cooking facilities, at least a camping stove and some plates and cutlery. We went scuba diving and fished some scallops but had to gift them as we couldn’t cook them.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Murat (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ashleigh (10/5): Everything was amazing! Very classy and relaxed at the same time. It was home away from home! Such a cute and cozy hidde - The bathroom was stunning! The whole place had such great attention to detail!
- Callum (10/5): Comfortable, clean and relaxing. - Location was great, very clean, super lovely stay. Would definitely recommend.
- Caitlyn (9/5): beautiful place - The cabin was decorated nicely, all matching and very aesthetically pleasing, which I loved. There was a bottle of wine on the table with some wine glasses on arrival, which was a nice touch. The bathroom was just wow, huge shower and very modern. We loved that there was two sinks. The bed was comfy and the addition of the electric blanket was perfect considering it is winter. Big tv easily watched from bed with access to unlimited movies from Netflix and Stan. I also felt really safe with the high level of security (coded gate and front door). It definitely makes check in easier than having to meet up to get keys or open a lock box which is sometimes difficult. There really wasn’t anything that we disliked. A possible improvement suggestion is to include some more reusable cutlery (knives and forks) and maybe an air fryer or something so that there is more opportunity to make food rather than eating out every night. Not a huge issue, but it would have made the stay a 10.
- Nicole (10/5): Very cosy and comfortable , especially the play list left by the hosts. Shower was exceptional - Bottle of wine on arrival was a nice touch No toaster or sink
- Smith (10/5): Excellent - The bathroom .
