Guest Reviews
- Jessica (10/5): Cute, comfy and cosy! - Such a cute and cosy space for a little getaway! Not too far from everything, and the bed is unbelievably comfy 😴 highly recommend!
- Martina (10/5): - Beautiful views and cosy accommodations
- Foran (10/5): -
- LovinOZ (10/5): - Cleanliness, facilities, very quiet and peaceful, comfortable, undercover parking.
- Shiel (9/5): lovely relaxing & most enjoyable time, in a gorgeous, personalised space. - The accomodation was wonderful. Cabin itself, location, views. Bed linen was high quality, & bed itself was very comfy indeed. Given the overall satisfaction with the accommodation this may seem petty, but could have done with some oven trays for cooking. Also the fry pan & pots, are Teflon, & some show the Teflon beginning to peel.
- Karl (7/5): Très agréable si le wifi n’est pas une priorité - La propreté, l’endroit, tout ce qui était fourni était de qualité Pas de WIFI, nous n’avons pas dû lire la description attentivement, car nous aurions loué ailleurs
- Danica (10/5): Amazing cabin with great facilities for a getaway - Nicely tucked away little cabin and was very close to the beach. Easily able to get to alot of attractions with a car and had facilities to be able to cook and do a bbq on the deck.
- Deb (8/5): - View was spectacular & cottage was warm & comfortable Lack of washing facilities as we had been camping for a week & had wet clothes & towels etc

- Will (7/5): A quiet, private stay in a pleasant location with some unexpected facets. - The location was quiet and private, hence "calm" is an apt descriptor. The water views from the lounge and kitchen were pleasant. The lounge room was of adequate size with comfortable furniture. Crossflow ventilation was adequate in the cabin, because windows could be left open for that to occur, although fly screens were only installed in one lounge room door, one bedroom window and the entry door. Airconditioning was working well (a must in summer when the westerly sun heats up the cabin in the afternoon). It doubles up for heating when it cools down. Real estate in the bedroom was a little restricted, but not a problem. The bed and bedding were comfortable. There were a number of unexpected issues. The host was unavailable for communication due to being on leave. Communication was deputised to another person, who was uncontactable upon arrival. No useable access instructions were provided via messaging, We eventually found the keys under the entry door mat (who would have thought in this day and age?). The refrigerator is very tired by now, struggles to keep food chilled on the highest setting, the internal freezer compartment was completely iced over (its door would not close) and shows signs of mould having taken up residence in some of its nooks. An electric kettle is cheap and a must for any visitor abode as the standard kettle provided takes for ever to boil water on the hotplates. The steep gravel driveway deserves separate mention, because I suspect it could present a challenge to anyone leaving the property without a FWD or at least AWD vehicle after some precipitation (some moderately deep tyre gouges attested to this fact). We negotiated it with a standard front wheel drive vehicle, but not without spinning the tyres a couple of times while taking great care to avoid this problem. We parked the vehicle across the top of the driveway after the first night. The rain water filtration may require some attention.
- Dillon (8/5): Very good - The finer details, the weird note in the drinks cabinet, the octopus door opening in the bathroom, the view, the BED!!!!!! The odd caravan on the property and the driveway.
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good - It was an enjoyable time. The setting is awesome.
We found the bed and the lounge to be a bit softer than we enjoy, but they weren't too bad - just hard to get out of the lounge at times.
It would have been helpful to know of the steep gravel driveway before booking. It was a challenge each time we left the property.
- Lockhart (9/5): Superb -

- Rachel (10/5): Stunning and peaceful cabin in a beautiful location, we loved every minute. - My husband and I had a beautiful getaway at Kelp Cabin. It was so beautifully decorated making it feel warm, cozy, tranquil and so special. It had everything we need, including hot chocolates to warm us up while relaxing on the balcony watching the sunset. Beautiful view from the balcony and so close to the beautiful White Beach. We explored the breathtaking peninsula which was all so accessible from the cabin and we were lucky enough to sit out on the balcony and watch the spectacular southern lights on new years night. Definitely a magical trip to Tasmania and would highly recommend Kelp Cabin! Can’t wait to return
- Joel (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (10/5): Secluded location with a view. - Loved every minute of this stay. It's off the beaten track with a short distance to the local market. Largely secluded, however looks like a few neighbours are moving in with their own cabins going up.
If you're doing any of the surrounding hikes, or just running out from the world, this is a perfect location.
The view over the deck in the morning or evening is awesome, as is that leather couch of 'crashing' after a long day of hikes. Full kitchen, well furnished, just pick up your shopping on the way. I've never known a room to heat up so much in the afternoon, yet chill down at night! Good thing the aircon covers the first and all the supplied blankets the second.
- Tee (9/5): Superb - Beautiful shack set amongst the treetops of a small town close to explore the Amazing Tasmanian Coastline.
The bed was super comfy and linen bedding very nice after a day out in the Tassie elements! The furniture well chosen and created a perfect space to relax & unwind. The personal homely touches placed throughout made me feel welcomed & thought about, would recommend definitely!!
