• Audrey (2/5): Due to poor maintenance of place, we had an unpleasant stay despite the good location and view - The location was good, private and driving distance to everything. Amazing sunset view and shared bathroom was clean too. Without prior communication, the host sent us a text invitation to the lock at a check-in time they weren't able to accommodate. The text came in with an unfamiliar name and invite to download the app and of course, we weren't downloading any apps until we were given directions to do so. There is 1 aircon in the living room, with 2 fans in 2 of the 3 bedrooms. The rooms were stuffy due to the heat in summer and one of the fans sounded like it was about to fall off if we put to a higher setting. A standing fan would've helped a lot. As this unit was facing the afternoon setting sun, the 1 aircon was working a whole lot to cool the big place down, and was doing a poor job at that given how big the whole unit is compared to the tiny aircon unit. We had to leave the bedroom doors open for even the slightest bit of cool air. The place wasn't maintained well either, with leftover coals in the fire place (we were well into summer at this point so the fireplace was probably untouched for the last 6 months), spider webs on the ceiling/closet, creaky fan, unusable sliding door, broken blinds, dirty pool, old random exercise bike in the patio with a table and swimming vest, and mismatched furnitures that seem to be left at the unit as a storage room for furnitures from the host's home.
