- Darrin (10/5): Very sweet and cozy. Thankyou - Great yard for our dogs

- jeff. (9/5): - Our stay at Ems cottage was comfortable, value for money, great quiet location
The cottage was clean,
warm , and had milk , tea /coffee
Certainly will be staying again
Thank you for a stress free visit
- Shay (6/5): Good for one night - The property was good for a one night stop and had what we required, the mattress was cosy and all the amenities worked. Think of this as a renovated caravan / cabin. The property wasn’t overly clean. The place was falling apart, the sliding door closes over with a gap left, therefore we had plenty of bugs in the cabin, the bed head isn’t connected to the bed and moves when you move in the bed, the curtains above the bed had cobwebs and dust, the walls collapsed inwards when plugging into the PowerPoints. The property is also not pet friendly outdoors even for a larger dog, plenty of gaps to escape.
- Debra (5/5): Met our needs , but not comfortable sleep - Bed isn’t comfortable, needs new mattress , not comfortable for couple as sinks in middle
- Tracy McGlashan (10/5): -
- Debra (6/5): Okay and broke up our trip -
- Helen (9/5): - Ideal for our 1 night stop with our dog. Spacious garden. Everything was good.
- Jan (8/5): -
- Keith (7/5): -
- Emily (10/5): A great little stay for a short stop over - Easy access, great communication from Emily and the location was perfect. Pet friendly for those travelling with a companion and felt safe there as a solo traveler. Everything was great!
- Kegan (10/5): - Cosy little stay, great for a stop while driving through or a week stay. Has all the amenities
- Lucy (10/5): This property is great value for money! The directions to the property are clear and the owners are so lovely. Would def - The property was a great size for 2 people and our little dog! The bed was comfy and it felt very clean.
- Kimberley (7/5): Okay stay - Cute decor, had most of the stuff we needed, secure yard for our dog The single bed was terrible - uncomfortable, broken, needs to go to the tip
- Matthew (9/5): Lovely stopover in super cute accommodation - lovely cute accommodation with great yard for dog to roam Nothing major just needed an exterior bin to put the rubbish in
- Shauna (10/5): Great comfort warm and cosy and convenient location. - I love everything about Cute Private Studio ~ off street parking fabulous. Everything handy within the cabin. Bed was comfortable and warm with an electric blanket. Great little fridge with freezer as I travelled with frozen food. So close to IGA in Hay and close to park to walk the dog. Would stay again without hesitation. Just a mention ~ if it is raining the awning over the door could be a little bigger. Other than that I loved the cabin.
- Shauna (10/5): Fabulous ~ would stay whenever in Hay. - Convenient location and quiet. Cosy Cabin had everything I needed. Great secure off street parking. I am staying again on my return trip home. If you're staying in Hay I highly recommend Cosy Cabin. Shauna Nothing not to like.
- Alistair (8/5): -
- Jacqui (10/5): Hay stop over - Private clean and comfortable. Fantastic I was able to have my little dog stay with me. The bed was super comfortable.
- Jayne (8/5): I enjoyed my stay, just what I needed for a quick stop. Exactly as described! - The studio had everything you need for a few nights and the bed was super comfortable! The door seemed a little loose when shut.
- Pam (6/5): Basic dog friendly accommodation in a quiet location. - Dog friendly Needs some shade areas. Air conditioner struggles in very hot weather.
- Anne (8/5): - Easy entry to the cabin. Air conditioner was on which was appreciated on a 38 degree day. Comfy bed and kitchen well stocked with plates, glasses etc. The outdoor area was fenced which made it easy for my dog to enjoy.
- Debra (8/5): - It's always clean and cosy, and communication is awesome Just could have a little more dog friendly yard so smaller dogs can't escape.
- Anne (7/5): -
- Margie (10/5): we will stay again when travelling - Location from highway was great
Cleanliness
As advertised Nothing to complain about
- Troy (9/5): Welcoming, quiet, comfortable and dog friendly - Just a lovely little place for our overnight stay while travelling to Adekaide from the Gold Coast, and perfect for our little dog, he loved it! We lovevthe vibe we get from the place, makes us feel really welcome and comfortable To change the things I dont like would cause the place to cost more, but as this is the question, I'll give an answer;
It is small. Even though I'm travelling, I still like to cook, and you absolutely can (I just made some simple steak sandwiches), but because it's small, there's not much space for preparation and dishing.

- Debra (9/5): Very Clean Cozy and the bed is so comfy. - It's very clean and the mattress was very comfortable.
Great location off and away from the road noise.
Great communication and friendly too.
Everything you need is inside. I think the yard is amazing and a great way to relax with your dogs after a long drive.
It could be more smaller dog friendly , unfortunately, there are gaps where smaller dogs can escape, and if under the cabin was closed off, that would be even better.
- JANE (5/5): - It was a nice quiet area, room was clean and secure. I admit the heat was extreme but the aircon did not cope and there was no ventilation. Couldn't keep door open as no flyscreen. Being like an ATCO hut it just held the heat. We were so hot and sweaty we ended up going out and purchasing a fan. After a long day of driving, couch was not comfy. Pipes for hot water were like a jack hammer.
- Toni (8/5): - Location and cleanliness
- Sandra (9/5): -
- Auckett (7/5): -
- John (10/5): -
- Jeferson (9/5): Great place! - Good space outside for our dog ziggy! .
- Song (10/5): -
- kandpeas (7/5): Cosy, warm and quiet - Off street parking; easy to heat; quiet location; easy to find; plenty of dishes, utensils and pots, although not in the best condition Maintenance/cleaning issues - dirty floor mats; rusty stove elements, dirty cook top; walls move when you use power switches; bathroom floor waste loose; handbasin taps loose; door lock not very solid; fencing not good for small dogs; bed too high and too soft; no storage for clothing (only hanging space). Fireworks didn't go down well with one of the furkids.
- Noble (8/5): Lovely accommodation for a short stopover on the way to Canberra. Great that we could bring our dog! -
- Claire (8/5): -
- Gbarrie (7/5): Good - Quiet location away from hwy. aircon warmed up the place very quickly Double Bed was a bit too small and soft for us.
- Chris (10/5): Great location and excellent value for money! - We really enjoyed staying in Hay, it’s a great country town with friendly people and plenty of things to see and do. Emily’s studio was a cosy place to stay and was well set up for our stay. Great value for money and very convenient! Nothing really.
- Matt (8/5): Very good -
- Daniel (9/5): Will definitely stay again. - Excellent value for money. Great property for travelling dog.
- Betty (8/5): Comfortable overnight stay - Very comfy bed, best sleep in weeks. Quirky cabin with personal touches. Nice & clean. Secure parking behind the fence. Large grassed outdoor area for our fur baby to stretch her legs.
- Koechlein (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable bed N/A
- Rochelle (10/5): Great value for money, clean and cosy with secure yard - Clean, good enclosed yard, on premise parking, good value for money Noisy hot water plumbing in shower
- Alozie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Craig (7/5): Basic, but comfortable - Bed was comfortable No hot water on arrival after a long drive- cold shower
- Rob (7/5): Good -
- Sujay (9/5): Superb -
- Shaylah (10/5): Pleasant, quiet with a great yard for four legged friends. - The yard was fantastic for my dogs to stretch their legs and have a run after a huge day of driving! They truly loved it there.
The location was quiet and the bed was super comfortable. Very easy to find and access.
- Wendy (5/5): Passable - Quiet. Great for a travelling dog. Very clean and well loved Very old and shabby cabin
- Nelly (8/5): Quiet - This makes an ideal overnighter when driving from Sydney to Adelaide as it is really the only accomodation that is away from the noise of the busy highways in Hay. The corrugated gate to the garden gets stuck on paver (needs cutting or pavers need to be sunk in ) as at the moment you can not fit a suitcase through the small opening. Easy fix!
- Toome (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (7/5): Needed an overnight stop on long trip (traveling with dog). Forfilled the requirments. - Good location, fenced yard for dog to sniff around, well appointed kitchen. Sound from the TV a little hard to hear, double bed.
- Lynette (7/5): Clean, tidy with bare essentials - Someone had put cat biscuits out, there was a cat that kept coming in to eat and it set off the dog directly behind us, during the night. The neighbours dog was left chained to a vehicle and barked every time it heard a noise. The place itself was clean and comfortable which is what you want when travelling. The sugar and accessories like toilet paper were bare minimum, probably to stop people taking it.
- Goody (10/5): Perfect stop for a night or a week - Great location to pull up if towing
Outdoor area fabulous for full grown dogs (not puppies)
Neat tidy and very very comfortable
- Belinda (8/5): Comfy, cosy cabin, perfect for what I needed travelling between Sydney and Adelaide. Hosts were friendly and helpful, qu -
- Niki (9/5): This was a great stop over of me, my partner & our dog. We will definitely stay here again if it is available 😊 - We could park our car on the property behind a fence/gate. We were able to have our dog stay with us. It is a very quiet location. The owner is very easy to deal with 😊 We had a small dog & it would be good if the fencing was colourbond all the way round, with no gaps under the fence so our dog could not get out.
- Hugh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joanne (10/5): Highly recommend the Cute Private Studio Flat - Clean and very cosy! Perfect for travelling with a dog. Fully fenced garden, suitable for a dog to have a good run around in. It was all good, nil negative
- Yury (8/5): Very good -
- Bella (10/5): Exceptional -
- Amity (9/5): Superb - Perfect for an overnight stay on the drive through from Sydney. Aircon for those 40 degree days is a winner. Short walk to the Murrumbidgee River. Owners very responsive. Great place!
- Renay (9/5): Superb -
- Bec (10/5): Exceptional - Off the main road. Quiet, clean and perfect for a quick stopover. It was a 41 degree day but the aircon worked a treat and kept the property cool
- Kelly (5/5): Passable - Good size for a night or two. Has the amenities that you require. It needs fixing up. The toilet leaked after you flushed it. The property is a transportable and one side of it felt like you could fall through. Says that it's pet friendly but the property is not secure. You pet could get under the transportable and some fencing is wire which a small pet could get through.
- Helen (7/5): The studio was adequate for a one-night stay, - The location was quiet and the bed was comfortable. It was great that the airconditioning was already on when we arrived on a hot day and we could bring our car in off the street. The light in the bedroom area wasn't working, the bathroom wasn't very clean and there could have been some more hooks for towels or clothes.
- Rogers (7/5): Good - Quite and comfortable stay.
- Peter (1/5): The worst of this type of booking. A cheap money grabbing exercise with no thought of comfort - There was nothing to like about this spartan shed. It was not a comfy cottage but rather a hot metal box Everything
Furniture old and battered, walls with holes and ceiling peeling off
Fridge dirty and not defrosted
not all windows had fly screens
Front door difficult to lock
No Wi-Fi... response from host is that it is not worth the bother
Set on a vacant block with falling down screens which were around a dirt yard that flooded after rain making it a muddy mess
Minimal privacy
AC works but inadequate and antiquated like the rest of the aluminium shipping container-like box it was
Oven like on arrival
Rain on thin (?uninsulated) metal roof caused sleep disruption
Windows let rain in soaking books by bedside
This is a blatant exploitation exercise, deceptively advertised and not worth even half the money
It should be withdrawn from rental
I have used various booking services across the globe and have never experienced a worse, more cynically promoted property
DO NOT USE THIS PROPERTY (nor probably any other promoted by
- Jessica (8/5): Cozy and comfy - Great location right near town. Cozy and great for a short get away.
- Kate (9/5): Best nights sleep I've had in a while - I was looking for a safe, pet friendly place to stay while on my drive from Sydney -> Adelaide.
I had such a good night's sleep!
I liked how easy it was to collect the keys on arrival, the clear communication from the owner.
I brought my cat with me and having the apartment on a quiet street really helped, I was able to take him outside for a sniff around which he really enjoyed!
I liked that it came with all the required amenities incl. cutlery!!! which helped when I ended up ordering takeaway from the South Hay Pub (which was also delicious)
I would definitely stay again. hmmm. if I had to be picky, maybe the fluorescent lighting.. but tbh i didn't really use the lighting that much.
- Robin (8/5): Cute cottage in Hay - It was well appointed and very homey. Bed was nice and comfy. Aircon worked well.
- Janine (8/5): Very good - Nice quiet place for a couple of nights
- Devilish (7/5): Clean and thoughtful midpoint stopover - A good mid point stopover when driving from Sydney to Adelaide The mattresses may be due for a refresh unless your curves match previous sleepers
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Nicola (10/5): Excellent value - Beautiful easy to access location perfect for a mid way stop between Sydney and Adelaide. N/A
- Deborah (8/5): Very good - Quiet location off the main road. Very homey in presentation.
- Rutledge (8/5): all good thanks - not applicable I had my own All good
- Tanya-louise (8/5): A little shack in a country town - Clean, Tidy and great for an overnight stop. - I expected a little shack in the middle of NSW and that is what it is, however its clean, tidy, everything works and its what we needed for a quick stop over night. The lock on the door did not feel overly secrure.
The bed for me was a bit too soft (and I dont mind a softish bed) but I kept rolling into the middle into my Hubby :-) (not that that is a bad thing either ;-)
I expected a little shack in the middle of NSW and that is what it is, however its clean, tidy, everything works and its what we needed for a quick stop over night.
- Tanya (7/5): Access was easy via the key safe, the bed was comfortable and our sleep undisturbed. - The cabin is in a beautifully quiet part of Hay, well away from the highway.
