• Kerrie (1/5): DISGUSTING FILTHY PROPERTY - Absolutely nothing about this filthy accommodation. Pleased to finally be out. Paid for 3 nights and didn't stay for two as the bed was disgusting I have photos of the filthy mattress that is covered in stains, sunken springs, frayed material exposing the inside of the most disgusting mattress i have ever seen. Owner said the mattress is inspected before renting out and it has a protector on top. The sheets and Donna cover weren't even ironed. I was too scared to look at the pillows without covers on them. The curtains were also hanging off the curtain rods
• Ján (1/5): Nechali nás na ulici ! - Pár hodín pred príchodom nám ubytovanie zrušilo rezerváciu , napísali nám správu že nebolo možné zaplatiť mojou kartou, potom nám už nedvíhali telefón a neodpovedali na správy a nechali nás bez problémov v noci na ulici . Banková karta samozrejne funguje, platil som s ňou v ten deň aj napríklad transport z letiska cez booking. Veľká hanba a podvod . Volali sme aj do booking a reklamovali to. Museli sme si narýchlo v noci nájsť iné ubytovanie .
• ETHAN (3/5): Don’t get catfished by the pool photos, stay elsewhere. - There wasn’t a whole lot to like unfortunately. The price you paid was not worth all the rules. Theres so many strict rules they try enforce and it makes the stay unpleasant. The pool is only open 9-5 and your host has to put you on the entry list. If you’re not on the list the security will not let you through. On the day of check in, the host ignored 5 messages from me trying to rectify a card issue with the booking. There was no issue with the card and when the host did reply all she said was “fix on your end”. The room stunk of floral washing powder, to the point our pjs smelt like the place after moving accomodation. The host only provided 2 towels for a 3 day stay, when we contacted her asking for more, she told us to use the washing machine and reminded us the location wasn’t a hotel. My partner insisted with the host and we got 2 additional towels. We travelled SE Asia for a month and this was our most unpleasant stay.

• Joanna (1/5): Okropne oszustwo - Oszustwo Właściciel anulował moja rezerwację o 20 w dniu przyjazdu. Już byliśmy w drodze, kontakt się urwał. Po dotarciu pan ochroniarz zaproponował nam nocleg 3x drożej, więc to raczej skoordynowana akcja naciągania turystów :) Na budynku widnieją ostrzeżenia, że wynajem lokali na pobyty krótkoterminowe jest nielegalny. Nie polecam.

• Flore (10/5): Great stay again even better than last time - This is my second time staying at Saigon Downtown Rivergate and I’m really glad I chose it again. The apartment was clean bright and well prepared just like the first time. I especially loved having coffee on the balcony in the morning while watching the city wake up. The view from the high floor was stunning. The host remembered me and made check in super smooth. Communication was fast and helpful throughout my stay. This time I also noticed how convenient the building is with cafes pharmacies and small supermarkets right downstairs. It’s perfect for anyone who wants to cook or just grab something quickly. If I had to suggest anything maybe the pillows could be a bit softer but that’s just a personal preference. Overall I had a really good experience again and I’ll keep coming back whenever I’m in Ho Chi Minh City.

• Flore (10/5): Comfortable stay in a great central location - I stayed at Saigon Downtown Rivergate Residence for three nights and had a lovely experience. The apartment was clean, modern, and had a small balcony with a beautiful view of the city especially in the evening. The location is excellent just a short ride to Ben Thanh Market, food streets, and lots of local restaurants and cafes. Convenience stores like Winmart and 7 Eleven are right downstairs which made it super easy to grab snacks and drinks whenever we needed. The host was very friendly and responded quickly to all our questions. They even helped us store our luggage after checkout so we could enjoy the rest of the day without any hassle. If I had to mention something small the carpet could use more frequent cleaning and the towels were a bit thin but overall the stay was very pleasant and I would definitely come back when visiting Ho Chi Minh City again.

Not enough utensils and cutlery - we were drinking tea/ coffee out of highball glasses (no mugs or tea cups). At one point only one lift was working which meant a long wait. Pool area would be better if it had more loungers.

• Jeffrey (1/5): Illegal apartment--use at your own risk! - This is an illegal rental and should not be on Booking.com FIrst off, this is a totally illegal property. In the entrance to the building, there is a large sign saying that short term rentals are prohibited. But clearly that doesn't stop people who pay bribes to the security guard to allow people to use the residence. Also, he host rejected our credit card hours before we arrived (without telling us), even though we have been using the same card throughout Japan and Vietnam with no problem whatsoever. Since he didn't give us warning, we ended up going there and waiting around only to be told an hour later that our reservation was cancelled. For your own sanity, please stay away. There are so many better places to stay.

They texted me asking them to notify them on WhatsApp when I was in my taxi on the way, and when I did so they said sorry, we can’t help you, and cancelled my booking. When I arrived I was confused and so I called them to see if I could book another room in which they have given my room to someone else and wouldn’t even let me inside the building to speak to someone. As a young female solo traveller I was really upset.

• Tracey (9/5): Very nice apartment - Very clean and tidy apartment. Had everything we needed. Had a small problem with AC but was fixed within 30 minutes. The bed was very soft and the frame extremely noisy. If my partner or I moved the other bounced. No support in the mattress at all.

• B (8/5): good apartment, not good customer service - property clean and as advertised and easy to reach from city centre, very easy to reach host and helpful the security guards kept asking me to move from the front of the building, even though i was waiting for the staff to come and hand in the keys to let me into the building and again same when i was leaving too, not giving me a minute to gather my bearings as i checked out, i had to book the swimming pool but the pool usher kept saying i was not given permission, even though it later turns out i was, was asked to remove my own trash and take it to the garbage facility - overall felt like this was not as welcoming as it could have been and i would rather stay in a hotel next time

Nice studio flat, clean, safe and shops below the flat like 7/11, winmart, pharmacy, coffee shop. Easy to get taxi and get around from here . Place has WiFi and washing machine Lots of rules in this building. Swimming pool can only be accessed by 9am-5pm and you have to message the host 5 mins before so they can let security know. There is a way to access before 5pm and stay a little longer but you'll need to message host beforehand. Security are picky on what lifts you use to carry suitcases, dress code in lifts before and after the pool. The building itself has many rules that security constantly check up on when walking around.

The apartment was dirty, glass and kitchen items not washed regularly, walls behind the beds were dirty, walls in the bathroom very greasy. Laundry rack was broken and difficult to wash clothes when it can't be hung up. The reception on the ground floor has nothing to do with rentals, so there is no help to get from them. The receptionists did not care about the few inquiries we had. If you want to use the pool, it must be booked through the landlord via SMS, you can't just show up.
