- Anonymous (9/5): Superb -
- Glaiza (9/5): Superb -
- Velma (9/5): Superb - Location, full kitchen Not enough power outlets
- Maggie (9/5): Will consider to stay there again! - The location is very convenient. The house is clean and comfortable. We like the key code for entry as we arrive late at night. The staircase is very steep. The garage instruction before check out isn’t clear as the garage can outside was no longer there.
- Wi (9/5): Superb -
- Diente (10/5): Exceptional - i like that the property is located near the train station and convenince store and restaurant and within local area so it gives the feeling of being a local in japan hehe
- Andrew (8/5): Nice, clean, comfortable space in a cool neighborhood - Location is great, just a few minutes walk to the Nippori JR Station. Neighborhood is very cool with nice restaurants and shops and not too touristy - definitely visit Kohi-Kojo for your morning coffee fix. Place is comfortable and fairly well equipped We would stay again. Stairs are a little tricky to negotiate - people with mobility issues should probably stay elsewhere. Should really have a TV.
- Eleanor (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, so clean and comfortable! We will definitely be back! Nothing!
- Saleela (10/5): Exceptional - love everything here a bit inconvenient for toilet only on ground floor when you needed to use at night
- Pui (10/5): Very much enjoy the stay - The location is great. Very close to the Nippori station plus only 2 minutes walk to the popular shopping street in Nippori. Nippori Station is easy access to the majority of the Tokyo tourist places plus it connects to the Narita Airport. We enjoyed the stay. The house has everything you need. Very comfy beds. I still highly recommend the place even though there are some minor things that I feel bit inconvenient. Thanks. I would suggest the following items:
1. Upgrade the washer machine to the washer/dryer unit
2. Put the trash can in each room and toilet
3. Pet control
- Craver (9/5): Excellent Tokyo location and neighborhood. - Excellent location!!!! Close to Nippori eki, in wonderful Yanaka.
- Gregory (9/5): barebones but solid; amazing location - Finding the location was trickier than I thought it would be. I'd thought I found it pretty well via online street view maps, so I was trying to find it on my own.. However, maybe because it was dark, I wasn't quite sure where to turn off of the street to find the apartment. Fortunately, the host had provided some photos of what to look for, and once I consulted those everything was easy.
The unit was spartan, but spacious, clean and comfortable. It had a laundry machine and there was even a small balcony with a rack on the second floor (and clothes hangers WITH clips to be found in the downstairs closet) for hanging laundry outside to dry. The unit also had a toaster in the kitchen. This was a rare find during our Japan travels and was very much appreciated by a toast-lover in our party.
There were a few wall and door hooks, to hang towels and jackets, which was also a rare find during our trip! We were glad to see them.
The property had very few reviews when I booked it, and I was concerned that there might be issues, but there really wasn't. We had a great stay. We wanted to stay in the Nippori/Yanaka area, and this was the perfect place to do it. It was only 1 block from Yanaka Ginza to the west, and 1 short block from a 7-eleven towards the east, and another block after that to Nippori station on the Yamanote line. There was no TV. I was debating putting this as something I liked, because I actually liked that! However, opinion was split within our group..and since most places do have a TV I think it's worth mentioning. The couch/sofa in the kitchen/dining area didn't serve much purpose, as there was no TV, nor was it suitable for sleeping (too small, shaped poorly for that). Since we were a party of three and the unit had two bedrooms, one of us would have happily used the couch as a bed if it had been comfortable enough. For anyone hoping to have a ground-level bed, this place doesn't have that. The couch isn't suitable, and the beds are all upstairs. The stairs are steep and narrow, so that may be an issue for some travelers (it was fine for us, but it was a little akward that we had to "step sideways" on them when going down the steps, because the individual steps were so "shallow").
I bought a couple extension cords/multi-taps from one of the local 100-yen shops, because there as a dearth of power outlets in useful places in the kitchen/living room, where we all preferred to hang out and discuss our travels. We needed to outlets for various chargers for our electronics and had to create our own. The most useful example of this was I plugged a cord in near the couch, and had it run along the wall and come back up at the kitchen table, so we could charge our phones while at the table.
The shoe put-on/removal area was kind of small. It was definitely a one-person-at-a-time area.
The only other complaint was that the unit was kind of barren and devoid of personality. There was very little decor and everyhing was just white with dark highlights. If I was going to stay there a while, I might splurge on a poster or two and maybe a small rug.
Fortunately none of these issues are things that couldn't be worked around/fixed, and they didn't negatively impact our stay.

- Mama (7/5): comfortable - location, bedroom, laundry room There is few kitchenware.
