Guest Reviews
- YANBAI (10/5): -
- Ian (9/5): A beautiful, comfortable and idiosyncratic 'home away from home' - Beautiful, comfortable and idiosyncratic accommodation that we loved - really felt that you were in a new place! The courtyard gardens were wonderful - lush with lots of flowing water. Our ground floor garden rooms had everything you needed There were a few mosquitoes because of the water, although the regularly replaced mosquito coils kept them at bay.
- Lynn (5/5): -
- Victoria (9/5): Quirky little treasure trove only a short train ride from centre - Quirky, one of a kind accommodation with wonderful hosts who gave us food recommendations and sorted out a minor problem that we had. Really enjoyed meeting them.
- Tammy (8/5): And authentic local experience, a short subway ride away from Petronas Towers. - The accommodation was a unique Malaysian experience that was built with love by the owner’s husband. An authentic local experience in close proximity to Petronas Towers via a short ride on the public transit. The owner herself was extremely friendly and helpful, and her daughter runs a small café with homemade hamburgers, right next-door. We enjoyed our stay there.
- Laura (7/5): Nice alternative to experience a more traditional accomodation type, but the location is not great and the entrance very - The style and the kindness of the owner The location. I struggled to find it and almost gave up. you have to go to the cafe (Whatever Works Coffee) and they will take you in.
- Hairil Rizal (9/5): It's a truly value for money stay! - Ms Sherifah our host has gone beyond to treat us as VIP guest in her house.
The house really has the vibes and ambience of a classic Malay house albeit with good supporting modern amenities
Its location is near to LRT Damai station which is perfect for our plan of exploring KL via train The house may need some upgrades here and there due to its age and may need preventive pest control

- Claudia (9/5): - Lovely hosts, so helpful, felt very "homey"
- Raphael (10/5): Beautiful design guesthouse with very friendly owners. - The decoration is very special. A fusion design of Malay, Indonesian, Peranakan styles.
Unique stay experience in Kuala Lumpur.
The owners are very friendly and welcoming.
- van Dijk (9/5): - Hoe alles eruit zag, de aandacht voor detail. De vriendelijkheid van het welkom toen we aankwamen.
- Nancy (10/5): One of my best experiences! - The place is like an anthropology museum! Everything is so well minded set up, that makes the ambience and the decoration extraordinary! The owners and Sherry are some of the most kind-hearted people I have ever met. I only feel lucky and blessed I had the chance to stay to this place, I was so happy all my days at this property and the much care they showed me! I hope I will return a day!
- Nigel (8/5): Very relaxing and interesting. - Very kind helpful staff. Great character building N/a
- Ronan (8/5): Very good - The location is only a five-minute walk to the train station, and then two stops to KLCC (Kuala Lumpur City Centre). It's super easy to get the train tickets, and very safe on the trains.
- Monique (9/5): Charming place with authentic atmosphere and friendly host - Quaint little house with a tree in the bathroom! The little house is a part of the main Malay house. Amazing place and very friendly lady of the house. The house is in walking distance of a train station, The next door Whatever Works Coffee served the best espresso of our holiday and has also very delicious cakes. We also liked the little pond in front of 'our" part of the lovely patio. A pity we couldn't stay longer. The taxi driver had some difficulty in finding the house later in the evening. As there was no breakfast it would have been nice if the nextdoor coffee corner would have been open a bit earlier and maybe could serve croissants?? Our visit was too short to figure out alternatives but we could make coffee in our appartment and the nearby petrol station sold some breakfast stuff.
- Shazalli (10/5): Exceptional - The design and the facilities
- Mariana (10/5): Exceptional - House was comfortable & clean. Host was very friendly & obliging to our special requests.

- Shahfrul (10/5): An unforgettable stay filled with comfort, joy, and lasting memories. - The place offers a blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. The wooden architecture and lush tropical surroundings create a peaceful retreat, perfect for escaping the city's hustle. Truly a hidden gem with captivating interior and exterior! The host, Auntie Shery is exceptional, very warm and welcoming. I would highly recommend this place to anyone out there looking for a classic and tropical escape.
- Li-ki (8/5): A garden resort in the city - The ambience transport one into another world or resort. Very well done! Lots of personal touch which makes us wanted to stay in instead of going out. Love the greens and the water effect. In fact, it felt cool. Coffee was superb at Whatever Works Cafe next to the property which also belongs to the owner. Wished they were open for breakfast. The photos on their advertisement is exactly the same. Theremcould have more powerpoints (for gadgets with 3.occupants) that work. More racks in the shower room to hold toiletries.
- Petra (7/5): Authentic Malay experience. - Easy walk from the rail station. Extremely good local cuisine in walking distance.
Locals very helpful and welcoming. Set in an area that is not everyone's idea of tourism. That aside, locals were awsome and genuinely welcoming.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Great stay, easily accessible via taxi or app transport. Right next to a little coffee shop. - Easily accessible via grab app. Hostess is friendly and helpful. The decor is authentic, and the garden beatiful.

First, the hotel contacted me to change my room and didn’t reply my question till I asked again after two days.
I selected to arrive after 12 when I made the reservation and the hotel didn’t have a problem at that point. When I messaged the hotel when I arrived around 12:30, they didn’t respond again and didn’t pick up my call neither. The door was locked when I arrived the hotel. I tried to knock the door and call the hotel and booking. No one showed up to help. I waited for around one hour. I was homeless at 2 am in a strange country. I was exhausted after the flight and I had to pay 500 to find another accommodation.
The next day, the only thing I could do is ask for a refund since I never checked in. Again no response at all for 4 days. The host is VERY RUDE! You could at least say sorry we can’t refund or try to communicate. I have never had this kind of experience in any country.
The place looks great from the pictures but I absolutely not recommend it after this terrible experience. Not happy with Booking neither! Everything especially communication
- Prerrna (8/5): Unique Homestay near KLCC - If you are looking for a break from the usual hotel set up, this might be an interesting option for you. The property is studded with vintage pieces giving it an old world feel in the midst of surrounding greenery and water fountains. There is a nice coffee shop across the compound with homemade cakes and local art. There was no one on the premises overnight so we felt a bit isolated
- Pantea (6/5): Pleasant - Authentic

- Remi (10/5): very cool house and garden with cafes nearby and a location where you can experience the real KL - such a cool house and cool location, out of touristy area and close to trains to catch. the owners made it though. they were the loveliest people who we felt really put effort in for us and were very helpful with directions and planning. thank you so much auntyyy!!
- Norazie (9/5): Beautiful House. Friendly Host - The Host is very helpful even she was outstation she still pick up the phone when we call. The Bohemian is beautiful and unique. The design is more likely to balinese. The house is complete even the owner are very generous with toiletries. The spot and the design of he house is perfect for anyone that love OOTD. Nothing particularly. Maybe can put Qiblat sign in the room.
- Ahmad (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): V warm welcome to a unique and special place. - Interesting location with lots of local v reasonable food places close by, excellent coffee in attached coffee shop. Unique and v special building with everything you need, tucked away, peaceful though close to main KL. V warm and friendly welcome. A v special and unique place. If you go in Ramadan v local food options reduced until evening but if you want to eat during day can plan ahead and store in fridge or go further into KL.
- Norkheiahj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Catia (7/5): Nice - great staff, cute little cottages, lots of ponds with fish, beautiful setting, a cool cafe in the same compound that also hosts events. i found it quite expensive in relation to other properties in KL.
- Ghai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional -
- Сергей (9/5): Superb -
- Alice (7/5): Good - The hosts are a very friendly family, very helpful. However the bed was not very comfortable (hard and creaking). We expected a very traditional house and indeed on the outside it is a beautiful wooden house however inside it is more like an antiques museum, lots of items from different time, from different places but I guess it is a question of taste.
- Yating (3/5): Poor -
- Nur (10/5): Beautiful place and friendly host - the design is very unique yet feel like home nothing
- Ili (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sofia (9/5): Superb -
- Jaeheon (10/5): Unique and authentic place - It is like a hidden treasure! The place is a well harmonized mix of historical and modern style of Asian culture with beautiful nature. The hosts are very kind and friendly. My family enjoyed every minute staying at the creative accomodation with stunning gardens.
- Rose (9/5): I felt like I was staying with a relative. - Charming decor that makes you feel you are on a vacation, many photo worthy nook and crannies on property. Family owned and managed property that made me felt like I was staying with a relative. Very weak wifi reception in rooms.
- Stephanie (10/5): Exceptional -
