- Pete (6/5): We enjoyed Gather Round. It was good to have the house as a base and not to stay in a hotel. We had a great time in Adel - Location was good. The area was quiet and conveniently positioned, although still quite a distance from the tram line. The property was once modern and fashionable but now requires an upgrade for the premium that was being charged. Although it was neat and relatively tidy the house needs a thorough deep clean. The outside entry area needed a high pressure clean to walls and the tiles. It was very dusty and dirty. The slabbed area at the rear door was uneven and some were loose, making it a trip hazard. That whole area could do with a better surface to make parking easier. The TV could also be upgraded.
- Claire (3/5): Poor - Great location, close to the city and public transport, right on the free bus line. Smell of sewerage seemed to build up across the day, so that the whole house smelt by the time we got home each afternoon. Shower was deeply recessed with no light and no screen, and the tiles and grout were mouldy. Fold out bed in the lounge was placed next to a window without a blind, and had to be moved. Towel rack and shelves in the bathroom were loose on the wall. Silicon edging on the coffee table was mouldy/grimy. Several of the kitchen cupboard doors didn't close or sat askew on their hinges. Air-conditioning was locked at 23°, which was not sufficient to cool the house, even when left on continuously, and despite what the host (very condescendingly) told me when I asked if this could be adjusted.
