• Hin (10/5): Peaceful and comfy farm stay at Grassvale! - We had a wonderful stay at Grassvale Farm Retreat. The place was peaceful and quiet yet just a short drive for meals and groceries. The farmland is spacious and a herd of cows greeted us each morning with gentle mooing. We could walk around the farm to the river and enjoy the fresh morning air and space. The owner and his wife were very kind to share with us about the farm and its workings even though it is a busy day of cattle yarding which we get to observe from the side. Thank you too for the thoughtful breakfast bars, milk and lemons in the bucket - much appreciated when we reached near night time after a day of driving. The house is warm and cozy for the winter, with a fireplace we enjoyed for the few days we stayed. Rooms and beds were super comfy and we had good nights’ rest throughout. The kitchen and bathroom have basic supplies and we were able to cook our own meals daily. We also had tasty lunches at Lindenow Pub and Wyanga Winery. We hope to visit again! • Wendy (9/5): Superb - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grassvale Farm Retreat, the wide open space and fresh air was a very welcome change from our city day today. A fabulous sunset greeted us on our first night and the gently mooing of cows the only sound breaking the silence in the peaceful morning. With a gentle walk through the farm to the river for a swim, a vineyard nearby and stars in abundance this farmstay makes for a perfect break. Peter and Kanika were very welcoming and generous hosts.

• Lynn (10/5): Beautiful cosy retreat - Grassvale retreat was just that...a beautiful peaceful retreat set in the middle of rolling farmlands but just a short drive from excellent coffee, shops, and walks. We can also recommend the nearby pub in Lindenow for great beer and friendly locals. The cottage had everything we needed and more, such as the thoughtful basket of crackers, milk, lemons, and porridge, which was much appreciated. The views all around the cottage were awesome. If it had been a little warmer we would have fired up the bbq for sure. Loved it all but maybe some electric blankets for the coldest nights would make it even cosier.

The Retreat was peaceful, private and comfortable in an on farm location. Easy access to Lindenow which was about 5km away. We were happy with our stay.

• Ali (9/5): It was comfortable and would like to recommend to others. - If you want to be away from busy city life and experience farm stay, Grassvale is the place. The house has all the facilities you need. Peter and Kanika are great hosts. We enjoyed our stay at the property and loved the guided tour of the farm. Mattress can be better and smart TV can be good addition.
