Guest Reviews
- Steven (10/5): A very comfortable and homely, country stay. - Lovely location, we felt like we were miles away yet Mt Pleasant and Eden Valley were just short drives in either direction. Comfortable and modern studio with everything you need. The little orchard adjacent was enjoyed by both us and our dog. Evelyn is a very pleasant and attentive host. Freshly baked bread and honey from her bees was a nice touch, thank you. Whilst it wasn’t an issue for us and the dog enjoyed the freedom of the property, the fencing is not secure enough for keeping wandering dogs at bay.
- kevin (8/5): Relaxing stay with our little pup - Quaint and peaceful
- sear (7/5): -
- Gordon (10/5): Great place to stay. - The host was very friendly, very comfortable unit. Nil
- Marika (10/5): - Clean and comfortable house.
We loved everything about it.
Our doggies enjoyed it as well.
Special thanks for the fresh bread!!! A little dustpan and brush would have been handy. We couldn't clean the floor unfortunately at the entrance.
- Sean (10/5): -
- Eddy (10/5): - Great quiet location close to Springton and Angaston.
Clean, roomy, comfortable and allowed our dog to run around safely.
Excellent freshly baked bread, coffee machine and condiments made for a lovely breakfast.
Check in was very easy and contactless.
Evelyn, our host, was at had should we have required assistance.
- Rosemary (9/5): A pleasant stay in the hills. - Fresh bread, honey and jam from the property were delicious. Kitchen well equipped, including olive oil and various seasonings.
Friendly host harvested fresh cherries for us. Homey room with books for entertainment as well as tv.
The dog absolutely loved the orchard and didn't want to leave. Shower drainage needs fixing and shower cleaning could be more thorough.
The pillows are all very thick and definitely more suited to side sleepers than back sleepers. I slept on some folded clothes the second night to spare my neck.
- Renee (10/5): -
- Anne (10/5): Home away from home. - Evelyn was so lovely. The shower was amazing. The stars were beautiful. Bed was really comfy. Dog loved it. The bread was delicious.
- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautiful retreat in the countryside, perfect if you want to reset and slow down. I'm sad that we didn't spend more time here.
- Miss Michelle K (7/5): Lovely venue, helpful owner, would recommend - Loved that we could bring our dogs. The dogs loved playing hide and seek in the garden with us The bathroom floor seemed to be constantly wet, despite us drying it several times between showers. Hot water ran out on the Sunday morning, so I had to wash my shampoo out with cold water.
- FELICITY (8/5): - Pretty, quiet, rural location with fenced orchard for running your furry travel companion.
Nice breakfast muesli and freshly baked bread.
Good cooking facilities.
Enjoyed strolling around the property and taking in the garden, orchard and rural views

- Daryl (9/5): - The bread was fantastic, very friendly
- D Bodein (10/5): Thank you Evelyn - Evelyn is very generous & personable. She obviously enjoys her place & her guests. The hot bread was a treat. Location & bird life was beautiful.

- Andrew (9/5): Pleasant stay - Quiet farm setting which is lovely.
- Renata (10/5): - Such a lovely little spot! Evelyn was super welcoming and the freshly baked bread with breakfast was amazing. The bed was really comfy, the place is peaceful, and it’s still close to the wineries. My dog loved running in the fenced orchard next door. Would definitely come back!
- Megan (10/5): -
- Jaimee (10/5): - Such a cute little place, and Evelyn was very welcoming! The breakfast supplies were very welcome, especially the homemade bread.
The bed was super comfy, and I slept great. Very peaceful location and not far to travel to wineries.
My dog loved the fenced in orchard next door, was the perfect spot for her to run and stretch her legs.
I would love to visit again! Had some issues with ants but, can't really help that! Just be mindful not to leave food out :-)
- Darlene (8/5): Lovely getaway - Our host Evelyn was very welcoming with a delicious home cooked loaf of bread.
Home made jams and honey were a delicious accompaniment.
Comfortable bed.
Lovely little getaway for a couple. Nothing at all!
- Heathp (10/5): Was everything we needed. - Due to travel times we didn't get the full use but what we did use was great and breakfast was fine. The mixer in the kitchen was hard to use didn't seem to get hot. Bit that's nothing really
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Michael (9/5): Superb -
- Sunel (10/5): Value for money, friendly host and great location - The studio is well equiped and very comfortable. Evelyn was lovely and easy to deal with. Great value for money! The freshly baked bread was delicious!
- Lusandra (7/5): Good - The property was ok, fair way out, we were there for the the gather round of footy, Evelyn was great and accommodating.
I thought I had booked 2 rooms, but it was only 1, I had traveled up with a work colleague and found out there was only 1 bed, Evelyn kindly pulled out the sofa bed, but I had a uneven level that stuck into my back, was not flash and I didn't really sleep for the 4 nights.
If anything to improve, maybe a microwave, a broom and dustpan, so we could clean up anything we may have dropped.
The property otherwise would be perfect for a stopover.
- David (10/5): Quiet country retreat wihin easy reach of the Barossa Valley - The rural location was very calm and serene. The accommodation was spacious and had all the facilities we need. The host greeted us with a loaf of freshly baked bread which was very welcomed. The nearby Edan Valley pub povided great meals. There was nothing to dislike.
- Valerie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Yu (10/5): Exceptional Stay - Highly Recommend! - The studio was fantastic—modern, spotless, and equipped with everything I needed for a relaxing stay. It was clear that a lot of thought had gone into providing all the necessary amenities.
The highlight for us was the farm! It was spacious, well-fenced, and absolutely perfect for my four-legged friend to run freely and safely. Watching my pup enjoy the open space was such a joy. It’s not always easy to find pet-friendly accommodations of this caliber, and this one exceeded all my expectations.
Thank you Evelyn! BTW, I quite like the fresh milk and bread you offered! We will definitely be back.
- Magdelena (10/5): Excellent stay and friendly, relaxed host who goes the extra mile. - Spacious high ceiling studio with large en suite. Many extras not common eg full kitchen and washing machine. Pet friendly. Not having access to a car port on a 40 degree day, however, host allowed us to park under a tree.
- Amanda (10/5): One to remember - Our lovely host Evelyn made us feel so welcome and had a lovely loaf of home made bread wrapped up in a tea towel for us to have for breakfast. It was so nice there wasn't much left for breakfast! It is in a beautiful location where you can hear the wind rushing through the trees and the birds signing, utter peace and quiet. It was a lovely place to stay and everything is catered for, we will be back. There is nothing to not like here!

- Kathryn (9/5): Lovely Host and Location - Comprehensive yet easy to follow instructions for check in and location; hospitality of the host (Evelyn was lovely and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable); warm shower and comfortable bed! Studio is a great size and layout, and parking is so close, but we got very wet trying to use the key box and door as there is no covering over the entry
