Guest Reviews
- Christopher (10/5): This place is the epitome of relaxation - everything was truly wonderful and exceeded expectations. - I travel specifically for sober minded holidays to avoid party crowds and their hot tub speaks Tina Turner because it’s ‘Simply The Best’ way to relax! If I could spend more time there I would!
- Karolina (1/5): The owner cancelled the reservation at the moment of check in it was a day before Christmas and we were with our two yea -
- Anita (9/5): Unique accommodation, kind and friendly hosts. - Good location, short walk into town. Lorraine and Casey were helpful and friendly. The accommodation was a "tiny house", beautifully decorated. I didn't use the hot tub but great to have it available. Very quiet, cozy, close to the water and bus stop A bit awkward if you have any luggage with wheels due to stairs and a bit of a tight fit. Nice little kitchen but didn't see any cutlery (although I didn't cook there so didn't ask if I just wasn't finding any).
- Patricia (1/5): We did not stay but have been charged and can’t get a response from booking.com - No one responded to our booking
We tried to contact host with no response
- Colleen (10/5): Excellent location, very unique property, outstanding hosts - There was no breakfast
- David (7/5): -
- Viktor (10/5): High recommended! - Very cozy, warm and nice atmosphere
- Derek (10/5): -
- Chloe (6/5): - The property was very nice and as described. Great location and really nicely decorated The hosts didn’t respond to any enquiry before we arrived about check in time, or meet us as is instructed (which was not a problem). However, during our stay at night and in the early hours of the morning, there was very loud aggressive arguing happening directly upstairs which woke us up and was very scary. Something didn’t seem right
- Jackson (8/5): - Artistic decor and outdoor spaces
- Farah (10/5): - Lorraine and her husband were incredibly friendly and knowledgeable! They have us recommendations for some good restaurants in town!
The suites are curated with such care for attention to detail, it was lovely ☺️
- Bonnie (10/5): Great Place to Stay in Gibsons. - This is an excellent stay while on the sunshine coast!
It is comfortable and charming, like a home away from home. Fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, fire table for cool nights, and a very comfortable bed!
The hosts have put a lot of care into the details of the stay and were also helpful with recommendations around sights.to see and dining. The location is fabulous and close to most amenities.
I would stay again!
- Laura (10/5): Great location, gorgeous accommodation, would stay here again. - Loved the hot tub, fire pit and outdoor patio. The bed was extremely comfortable.
- Yasar BC (8/5): -
- John (10/5): It was a very cosy place to spend a few days - It was a very quiet and great location,
We could have stayed longer but of time restraints.
Loraine host was very welcoming and full of life we really enjoyed her hospitality she was amazing. Great host and great suggestions for things to do locally.
The house was fantastic we really enjoyed it and felt right at home we will be back! It was just great
- Krista (6/5): Hot tube and fire great, the actual suite and stay was less than ok, and not great. / subpar. - The Hot tub area and outdoor patio and fireplace seating area was probably the best feature on the property. First off when you go to this location that is an underneath suite in the basement of the main house you are not in your own private suite. ( you are attached to the main house) where the owners have access to your suite anytime.
Owner was also downstairs doing laundry and removed something from the fridge during our stay . Did not ask permission to come downstairs or use our suite and area prior to doing so. Did not ask us and it felt like a small invasion of our privacy to our suite, and stay.
The kitchen is not a true kitchen. It is got a sink , side table a very large fridge, but pieced together kitchen appliances.. NO full stove just hot plate. Do not come prepared to cook a gourmet meal cause that’s gonna be very hard..
Sugar was missing from the kitchen for our coffee/ tea and there was very little selection of teas and some expired spices in the cupboards.
Overall, basement suite was laid out very weird and randomly the bedroom was located where/ next to the door area/ entrance and very, super soft and actually almost uncomfortable to sleep in with no side space to actually get in and out of the bed. The front room would greatly benefit from having like a pullout couch that’s smaller so that you can have extra space to sleep….
Shower head on the main wall ( not rain shower) was very delicate and troublesome to use. It requires you taking it off the wall and holding it in order to shower yourself.. not meant for people who are short.
Music room and TV room next to the staircase is not laid out very well and basically the room is useless cause there’s no table or chairs in there to actually sit and eat or play games or do any note taking. Not functional unless you play instruments.
Overall, the experience was OK, but I would definitely not recommend it , apart from using the hot tub and the patio area. Using the hot tub was great and the outdoor fire pit that was kind of a little bit more private was the only real treat of the stay.
- KERRY (10/5): - Lorraine was a wonderful host. The accommodation was warm and inviting and really cosy! Lorraine had everything covered right down to the little details! Perfect couples get away That we didn't stay longer!
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Jeff (9/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): - Close to town, friendly hosts, quirky decor, wonderful outside oasis area with hot tub, had everything we needed to have an enjoyable weekend getaway
- Jose (1/5): - I did not stay on this property because they lock us out can not get to the property I tried to call them but they don’t answer we don’t know what to do getting late in the evening luckily We found another accommodations at Gibson I need a refund for my reservation at booking.com again we did not stay on this property this is a shame asking me about my stay at their property the following day they didn’t even call me asking me where I am booking.com should check this kind of property before they share to public
- Claudia (9/5): Funky, cozy little spot - Such a funky, cozy, eccentric little nook. Loved the decor. A lot of charm packed in.
- Nathalie (9/5): Smalls cozy oasis in the heart of Gibsons! - Very funky accommodations, walking distance to all of Gibson’s amenities and several beaches. I really appreciated the hosts’ suggestions and allowing us to bring our good boy Bernerdoodle! The private outdoor area with hot tub and deck was a lovely place to hang out and relax between adventures! Large bathroom for such a cozy space! Not really a dislike but the suite is small (but manageable)!
- Joni (10/5): The house, location, and hosts made our vacation wonderful!! - Everything we needed, personal touches in every room, well equipped kitchen, wonderful patio and hot tub, pet friendly, our hosts were so kind, caring, friendly, helpful, and accessible!! Lovely location - close to everything in Gibsons! We really loved everything.
- Chris (10/5): - Wonderful hosts, hot tub, and fun decor! Well equipped Bed is very very soft
- Serena (6/5): - Great location Probably too small for 3 people. The bed in the loft has a large slope on the left side so was not comfortable. Quite a cluttered space to put any of your gear anywhere
- Matthew (8/5): Friendly hosts, with cute dogs! -
- Carmen (10/5): Short stay but Slept great - Location and uniqueness
- Vashchenko (10/5): Very cosy nice place -
- Barb (4/5): Unfortunately was not what we were hoping for. - Good location and it was clean. Bed was uncomfortable and difficult to get in and out of.
Very cluttered leaving little room for our belongings.
- Sajal (10/5): The host were super friendly, music themed room was fantastic and hot tub made our stay relaxing. - The host were super friendly, music themed room was fantastic and hot tub made our stay relaxing.
- Gregg (10/5): -
- Donna (10/5): Loved our stay at Seas The Day! Cozy boho vibe, great location near the beach, hot tub, and BBQ. Wonderful hosts who wel -
- Susan (10/5): I cannot wait to return. It really is a diamond in a sea of air bnbs Highly recommend don’t be afraid to book - It was such a private little enclave. Everything you might want was there. I adored the attention to detail with the decor. The deck was an oasis. I was charmed from the bottom of my socks. I didn’t mind the ladder to the loft and I’m 65.
- Carling (10/5): Perfect - Everything! The location was amazing with the most amazing hosts. The bed was super comfortable, hot tub bbq and kitchenette were perfect.
- Christine (9/5): Lorraine and Casey were fabulous hosts and we enjoyed their dogs. We highly recommend this property. - We loved the location as it was so close to everything we needed.
The private hot tub was great.
The place was clean and had all the amenities.
- Mark (9/5): Highly recommend - The charm. The comfort. The detail. The luxury touches. Very modern fixtures. The hosts are delightful. Very accommodating to our needs. Gorgeous, cozy private patio. This property meets your every need. Nothing.
- Empire (8/5): There was so much going on at this property that you really needed a few days to get the most out of - We were greeted by the owner nd made to feel welcome. There was so many very awesome ornaments and funky furniture around that it was hard to get our own things out, there wasn't room left for our own things.
- Ryan (10/5): Exceptional - Great Location!!. Hot tub was great in the evening after two soccer games. Very comfortable bed!
- Artem (6/5): The house is good, but a more accurate description would be useful. - Location, hot tub It's described as a one-bedroom house. In reality, it's a studio. There is no separate bedroom. The room with the piano is completely useless. The host insists that kitchen utensils be washed, yet there is no dishwasher. I'm concerned that I have to rely on the previous visitors' washing. The photo in the ad overlooking the marina does not apply to the house.
- Mark (8/5): It was a nice cozy spot to get away for awhile. - We liked the cozy feel to the place I can’t think of anything we disliked
- Laurie (3/5): Poor - The location. If you read the reviews that purported to have been done by scammers, they were spot on. Though we did not notice any bad smells.
- Florence (10/5): Comfy & extremely well located. - It’s very private with some outside space. The hottub is a bonus. The location is absolutely perfect. I barely used my car all weekend because you can walk to all amenities.
- Angela (8/5): Very good - The property is beautiful! It’s in a great location and the owners are absolutely wonderful! We booked at the last minute and unfortunately the hot tub had just had maintenance done so it wasn’t hot, the owners felt so bad, even though that’s the chance you take booking last minute they bought us a bottle of wine to make up for it. Thank you so much for your kind gesture! The shower didn’t have much pressure
- Holly-amber (10/5): Exceptional - The hot tub was lovely, bed was comfy, kitchen and bathroom were very spacious.
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Chria (9/5): Superb -
- Sanjam (9/5): Superb - Lorraine was really sweet. Property was easily accessible by a bus and she helped with great advice about the city.
- Grace (9/5): We loved it and would stay again. - We loved staying there. Comfortable bed and bedding, friendly owner with many extras. Our dog met new friends. Great location. Shower
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Dale (10/5): Great location, great host, great facility, great value😀 - The location is excellent. Easy walk to the harbour and restaurants/ shops. Cozy front room with bed and couch/TV, then one step up to the music room/ library. Kitchen/bathroom in year. Both are ample size with all the tools/ spices, soaps you need to enjoy them both. Didn’t test out the hot tub however it is in excellent condition. Lots of private outdoor to relax, very quiet neighborhood. Host Lorraine greeted us upon arrival with lots of info to share, unfortunately didn’t have time to share a drink with her to her some stories. If we have the opportunity to come back we will definitely make time to socialize. The bed was too soft as we prefer a firm mattress however that’s a personal choice and definitely not a show stopper
- Shauna (10/5): A sweet little cozy and comfy tiny house spot close to shops and beaches. - the little house was perfect for two people. fully equipped kitchen, lovely bathroom, Hot tub outside, the bed in the loft was very comfy. hosts were very friendly and welcoming. great location - we could walk to the village. and the neighbourhood was lovely.
- Breault (10/5): Our stay was amazing! - The carriage house was a cozy little space, very comfortable! The outside patio was a great area to hang out, the hot tub, bbq and fireplace were a great feature. Well stocked with kitchen essentials and a cute little coffee space.
- Perrigaud (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jarieth (10/5): Lovely space - We loved our stay Seas The Day! Real cozy nook close to the heart of Gibsons. The kitchen is well equipped, the coffee set up is great
- Chelsie (1/5): Absolute bait and switch, no communication, no privacy, smelled like urine, terrible experience. - Nothing! This was a complete bait and switch. The photos and information stated it was a private, separate building from the main residency, but it was not at all.
Additionally, the property completely ignored any messages prior to arrival for multiple days. We arrived not knowing where to go, with no one answering phone calls, texts, or booking messages. After waiting over an hour, we eventually had to try and open any doors around. When we tried to open a key code door hidden at the bottom of the property, a note was on the bed with another phone number. When the person answered, he was very rude, claiming we should have contacted the number earlier and that he was waiting for us. When he eventually realized we had no way of knowing that number if we hadn’t opened a random door, he shyly apologized. After I stated I was confused, as this was not the property shown to us, or what we agreed to pay for, he proceeded to brush over what I was saying and began just showing us the basement suite of their house. The bathroom smelled like urine, there were discarded eye masks on shelves, and most importantly, there was a huge gap in the door that separated the basement suite from their residency. There was no privacy at all, and we felt incredibly uncomfortable and lied to. Since it was 11 pm, we could not get a place that same night, but instead immediately booked another place for the next day. The bed was also super uncomfortable.
The lady never responded to my booking messages, or never apologized to us for completely lying and not responding at all to us. She messaged on the Monday "I was away, trusting you had a great stay"...wtf? Her husband had said she was on heavy medication, and that's why she may not have been paying attention. Sorry, but that shouldn't be on the customers.... Manage your business better, provide alternative phone numbers, and don't lie to your customers!
- Jo-ann (9/5): Pleasant - Location and hot tub Too much furniture for small space
- Judyann (10/5): A real treat - The rooms were comfortable and beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Perfect for rainy or sunny times. Loved the hot tub. Great location. Real treat of a getaway.
- Clara (10/5): Cozy standalone character suite with private hot tub and friendly hosts next door - Great location, generally quiet, gracious hosts that respect your privacy and are responsive via phone or text when you need assistance, adorable toy poodles and light snacks on arrival. Private hot tub and fire pit were amazing treats - flip flops and extra towels were provided. Kitchen was handy for reheating leftovers and storing beers and ice cream from Little Spoon. Netflix available on the flatscreen TV.
One of the town hubs, Gibsons Public Market, and several beaches are all walkable within 10-15 min. Pretty well everything from Bonniebrook and Secret Beach to Persephone Brewery and Soames Hill are driveable from the property within 5-7 min. 10-min drive from Langdale ferry drop-off. There's also a great pizza place about a 5 min walk down the road. Easy to access highway to see more Sunshine Coast towns.
There are 2 units - we stayed in the separate standalone property. It's a small space, but exactly what the pictures show so it met our expectations perfectly, and frankly was just our vibe. Heaters were very effective. The ladder to the loft bed may be intimidating to some and the ceiling above the loft bed is quite low (no standing), so as long as you're good with that, it's very cozy and fun.
Parallel parking spot provided just outside our suite. We were greeted by Casey and the dogs, provided a little walkthrough, and entry to the suite is via door code. We had some trouble unlocking our door the first time, but Lorraine answered our call right away and it was easy. Maybe a little note near the door to remind guests to pull towards you would be helpful. There was no body soap in the shower, but we just picked some up at a local store.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly and accommodating hosts. The hot tub is a very nice amenity to have It was a tad cold inside
- Michelle (10/5): Exceptional - Seas the Day is the perfect place for a little getaway. It’s in a wonderful location, walking distance to many eateries and local shops. The hosts Lorraine and Casey are just lovely and they ensured we had all that we needed to make our stay a memorable one. The private patio and hot tub were amazing and great place to sit and relax. We will definitely stay here again!
- Thomas (10/5): Exceptional - We spent the long weekend at this cozy retreat and had an incredible time. Lorraine was kind and attentive, ensuring our stay was perfect. The location is fantastic—just a short distance from the breathtaking Georgia Beach. After beachcombing, we loved unwinding in the hot tub and playing the grand piano, which was the perfect finishing touch. Highly recommend!
- Douglas (7/5): Good - Owner and location were great There were unforseen issues with the primary heat source, but they were solved
- Quincy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Blanka (9/5): Superb - Love the hot tub. Property is exactly as described in their overview. Unique decor, cozy, comfortable. Owner, Lorraine, was awesome and let us meet all her pups :)
- Kelly (9/5): Cute and cozy, breast for a couple. - It was very cozy, bed was comfy Lofts can be a bit small but that is what was advertised
- Bill (9/5): Seas the Day is a little gem. - Cozy space with funky/eclectic decor.
The owner was very attentive and quick to respond but left us alone to enjoy our stay if we didn't need anything.. The kitchen was pretty basic but this would be less of an issue in the summer because of the patio and grill.
- Eleazar (9/5): Good escape from the city. - We love the hot tub and the fire pit. The vibes are so cozy. The Owners are fantastic. Portable stove.
- Hittesh (10/5): Comfortable and Cozy. Would love to visit again. - Very Comfortable. We kept checking in with owner in case we had any questions and they were very responsive. The place was exactly the way it was described.
- Chris (9/5): Gibsons is within walking distance and had lots of options for food and exploring shops. - Some great walking beaches close by. Bed was comfortable and the area was very quiet overnight. We also enjoyed the hot tub.
- Aayushi (10/5): Exceptional - My husband and I had a delightful stay at this charming Airbnb in Gibson. The highlight of our trip was definitely the cozy fireplace and relaxing hot tub, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring.
The unique layout with wooden stairs leading up to the bed added a fun and adventurous element to our stay. While there wasn't a separate bedroom, the setup felt intimate and cozy.
The kitchenette was well-equipped with everything we needed to prepare simple meals, adding to the convenience of our stay.
Loraine was very accommodating when I wasn't feeling well. Really kind hosts and if you love dogs, they have the cutest pair.
- Nfeet (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (1/5): Horrible! - Absolutely nothing Absolutely everything
- David (10/5): A cozy relaxing getaway with hosts who are welcoming but not intrusive! - Cozy, eclectic inside and zen and woody on the outside
- Daniz (9/5): Superb - I recently took a quick trip to Gibsons and stayed for one night, and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot. The location was ideal for exploring the area, and the rooms were clean and cosy. The best part was the hot tub, conveniently placed right by the door—it made for such a relaxing night! I’d definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay in Gibsons.
- Tony (9/5): Superb -
- Tony (10/5): Lovely hosts and very welcoming. - Very cozy and very welcoming. Enjoyed my time at this lovely location… Nothing.
- Rachel (10/5): The perfect weekend getaway. - Wonderful value for money. The unit is spacious and fully equipped with kitchen appliances, tea, coffee, snacks, and toiletries. Each room has its own character, with lots of fun and eclectic art. Not to mention the suite of instruments and the hot tub! Thank you for the friendly & excellent hospitality – I hope to return one day!
- Stacey (7/5): Great location. - The location was great, walking distance to amenities and walking distance to the beach. Beautiful yard and easy to find. TV with netflix was great for the kids when needed. The suite, while filled with quirky art and beautiful instruments, unfortunately was very damp and smelled musty. The main bed was pushed into a nook which made it so you had to climb over the foot of the bed to get it - you couldn't access the sides of the bed. Very low ceilings in the bathroom made the lighting difficult to do makeup. Hosts were very friendly and confident that their place was high end, but to be honest it was not a place we would stay again.
- Elliot (10/5): Exceptional - very comfortable, great location, great host. Had everything we needed and more. We will be back!
- Cindy (9/5): Cute and cozy - Perfect location. Everything I needed close by or already there! Hot tub was great! Treats for my puppy. Lorraine thought of all the details.
I would stay again if traveling back there. The only thing I would change... is maybe remove the bean bag chairs so there is a place to put luggage. Otherwise, the rest was great!
- Araba (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lawrence (10/5): Awesome! - Great location, very friendly host! Not much privacy if bringing family (no seperats rooms with doors)
- Barb (10/5): Exceptional - Very quaint
- Marcus (8/5): Very good -
- Tammy (10/5): Lorraine was a wonderful host and we felt very comfortable and had a relaxing stay. -
- Wayne (9/5): Superb - Lorraine and Casey were attentive hosts in a great location stocked with all the things we needed. Beds were so comfy and our dog thought it was such a treat of a getaway to have a yard to roam around. The basement suite kitchenette, although stocked with many small appliances is best suited for cold prep meals like cereal, salads and sandwiches. Electrical issues and limited ventilation (even when using the fan as directed) makes use of these appliances difficult. Use of the barbeque is the best option to make hot food and it worked well for us.
- Carol (10/5): Cute little home away from home. Everything you need in a great location. Host was fantastic and added all the thoughtfu -
- Jeannette (8/5): Seas the Day - Wonderful hosts! Perfect location. It was very cluttered.
- David (4/5): Although there were some good things about this suite, we would never go back. - There was no breakfast but we didn't expect one. The property was quiet and had parking right outside. The hosts were friendly and responsive to our needs. An excellent fridge was provided. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking equipment. The hottub was a nice touch. Nice snacks were provided and we had plenty of coffee, cooking oil, and a selection of condiments.
I enjoyed being able to play a guitar that was part of a collection of instruments.
There were many interesting rugs and carpets but they were wrinkled up in places that created tripping hazzards. The stove was an old two burner hotplate jammed into a corner by the sink. It was not very useful for cooking, although I poached a couple of eggs on it. There was no proper kitchen fan and we were instructed to turn on a floor fan whenever we cooked. There was no opening window to offset the lack of a cooking fan. That may have been a minor safety hazzard. Certainly the multiple plugs going to single electrical outlets made us a little uneasy.
There was no inside table to eat at, just a smallish piece of wooden shelf doubling as a kitchen counter and eating surface. There were no screens on the opening windows and we had mosquitoes attacking when we tried to sleep. Unfortunately, we didn't feel we could keep the windows closed due to the musty smell that permeated the suite (it was lower level). Although the suite was large, there was little useful floor space due to the room configurations. The entire place was cluttered with nick-nacks and old furniture. For example, we counted a total of 26 mirrors, most of them serving no functioal purpose. The bed mattress was saggy and well beyond its 'best before' date. It was difficult to get into bed because of a lack of floor space on either side.
All rooms, except the bedroom, were dark. One of the light switches operating lights in the kitchen, was in a different room and hidden behind a tall cupboard.
Overall, the intent was apparently to make it folky-nostalgic, but it felt that we had parachuted into the home of a hoarder.
Gibsons is a pretty town but we thought that, at a total of nearly $200/night, this suite was dramatically overpriced. More comfortable suites in a local hotel were being charged out at a rate of $153.
- Gordon (10/5): Wonderful - Excellent location right next to downtown, exceptionally accommodating and friendly hosts, fascinatingly unique place, clean as!, quite sizable, some unique musical instruments on display, lovely hot tub, kept comfortably cool on a hot summer day, expansive outside space for our use, and two cute and friendly little dogs to welcome us. Nil reason’s
- Edith (10/5): Great and original getaway close to the beach - It is truely original and the location is amazing. Right near the beach and in the wonderful town. The apartment is very comfortable and I have felt super welcomed by casey and Lorraine. I was traveling with my dog, excellent location to be with your furry friend. Also enjoyed the hot tub very much and the nice and cosy bed. Definitely recommend staying here! Wish I had had more time to spend here. 😃
- Peggy (10/5): Our stay was fantastic, hosts are warm and welcoming, and I'd stay there again without hesitation. - Location was excellent. Hosts were amazing. House was so wonderful and inviting. Everything we needed was there. Our stay was exceptional and memorable. Can't think of a thing!
- Perry (9/5): Friendly hosts, great location, good value, and a wonderfully quirky apartment. - The very friendly hosts, Loraine and Casey, made us feel at home right away, We had the basement suite which was quirky and filled with an amazing assortment of musical instruments and vintage things. The compact kitchen was very well equipped, with excellent appliances and even some snacks, coffee, etc. Loraine was determined to make our stay memorable, and we appreciated her suggestions for places to visit and dine, as well as her stories of how she acquired her collection of eclectic items. We enjoyed the opportunity to sit on the patio in the mornings and evenings for coffee and relaxation. The only issue was that for two friends wanting separate beds, the second bed wasn't really adequate, and it would be nice to have two comfortable chairs in one of the rooms. Loraine was very open to our suggestion to address that, so it won't be an issue once she's able to make the additions.
- Emelia (8/5): Very good -
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- James (4/5): Disappointing - Certainly enjoyed the location. Short walk to the harbour and short drive into town. Bathroom was awesome. The kitchen had almost everything a person would need. The photos were lovely however they can be deceiving as to how small the place was. Literally had to climb from the bottom of the bed to get in. Not a good place for a person who is minimalistic. A lot of clutter.
Not sure if this was a one-off or not. There were a few arguments between our hosts late in the evening and past midnight that woke myself and our puppy several times.
- Maryhannah (1/5): A traumatic experience which lacked relaxation - I’m giving the property a one star, as the hot tub made the accommodation a little better. Initially, we found our check in experience good and the host Casey friendly. The properly was initially quite good as mentioned above. Casey checked us in and we met the host Lorraine, the first night. I found her demeanor a little intrusive as she came to the gate to chat to me while we were in the garden. Unfortunately, during our two night stay we witnessed arguments both nights between the couple. On the first night, we overheard the couple arguing, both me and my partner ignored it and went inside. However, on the second night we felt it was really out of hand and were considering calling the police. Lorraine, the host was screaming at her partner calling him obscene names and asking him to get out of the house repeatedly; “get out you f*cking loser! Get out you f*cking asshole”. We could hear them from our unit which was quite distressing. When I say it was a huge argument, they were roaring. We were quite anxious about this and our dog was also quite distressed. We fell asleep around midnight and to our horror we were woken around 3:30am to more screaming. What should have been a relaxing weekend away for Canada day weekend, turned into a sleepless, uncomfortable weekend away for the three of us.
- Sarah (10/5): Great getaway - Lorraine was a fabulous host and helped me out greatly when I lost an item in town. We really enjoyed our stay here, it's walkable to the town and the hot tub was delightful, very relaxing escape. Definitely coming back to stay one day in this wee gem!
- Geoff (10/5): Beautiful spot, great space and a great host - Lorraine was a great host who was extremely helpful with getting my elderly father situated.
