Guest Reviews
- Geoff (4/5): Despite the winge we enjoyed the solitude. - What did we like? Brilliant outlook and seclusion. Quirky signs on the way in. Bathroom was fine. And the company was terrific! OK! It was a 38 degree day. When we arrived at 4.00 pm, the place had obviously been closed up for hours. The blind on the main window was up. The heat inside was unbearable. The place was advertised as being air-conditioned, but in the instructional email the day before, we were informed that it could only be used for two hours. Had we known that, we never would have booked two days in February in Toodyay. Running the air con for the two hours made absolutely no difference. We decided to go in to Toodyay for some relief. We contemplated booking a motel for the night, but returned two hours later. We had left the cabin unlocked and windows and door open, and the big blind down. The cabin was slightly cooler when we got back. We decided to try the aircon again. This time it worked, and by 8.00 we were able to venture inside.
We found the place a little bit tired. The salt grinder didn't grind. The frypan is in a disgusting shape - discoloured and with a lot of the non-stick element scratched beyond belief. Fridge handle is loose. It's all the little things. There could be a cover over the deck. I am sure this would have been a terrific experience when it was new, and the owners/managers were still keen. Won't be back
- Ewbliss (7/5): Lovely cabin - but not for a hot day. - Lovely spot, outdoor bath, lovely facilities, cozy. On a hot day, the cabin is simply unbearable between 4pm to 7pm. Aircon on full, blinds down to keep out sun, fan on, nothing works to take the oven-like heat away.
I imagine that a non-summer day it would be lovely to stay here. We can't recommend it at all for a hot summer day though.
- Emma (10/5): Fantastic - The surroundings were just breathtaking, even in summer which was surprising. I must say the bath tub is a good choice. Nothing, all was maintain lovely
