• Edythe (9/5): I enjoyed my stay so much that I'm going back. The staff is wonderful. Most speak only Spanish. - The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful. The meals were good. They sell handmade art by a local artist, which are great souvenirs and very reasonably priced (see picture). The location was within walking distance to stores and the center of town.

• Beatriz (6/5): - All the staff were absolutely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. In general, the room feels quite old and could benefit from some modernization. We had our things accidentally locked inside the bathroom because the lock uses a very old (and potentially unsafe) mechanism. We managed to solve the issue ourselves, but it wasn’t a pleasant experience to have after a 16-hour flight. In addition, the curtains did not block out the light, and the room we were assigned was directly in front of the kitchen. There were also many supplies stored next to our door, which resulted in additional noise.

Quiet & safe location, with nice shared spaces to spend out of the room. Really enjoyed my stay! Although comfortable, my room felt a little second thought: tucked away in the back next to supplies and the kitchen. But once you were in it, you didn't get that feeling. Water pressure was a little low in the shower, but the bathroom was spacious and clean.

Nice place, but lacks privacy” While the accommodation itself was comfortable, it’s important to note that you need to call someone to be let in every time. This arrangement takes away from the sense of privacy and independence you’d normally expect. It would be much better with a self-check-in option.

• A. (7/5): I would recommend based on my great experience and how they made me feel! - The staff were top notch!!! Always willing to help and very kind. Genesis helped me book an excursion and food was always available upon request (for a fee of course). Its like staying with family. The location was not ideal. It sits across from an arena and they had activities almost every day and night. During my stay they were retiling the floor so there was that and the fact that the walls are very thin. I could hear them so I'm sure they could hear me..especially in the bathroom. Overall the staff made me feel at home.

• Tomer (10/5): Perfect for a long or short stay near the city. - The breakfast was excellent, everything super clean and tidy and kept, staff is wonderful and helpful and hard working and friendly. The location is what it is.. walking access to some decent food and drink options as well as groceries. No known attractions in the area though and the next door sports arena can get noisy in the evenings but not too bad.

The furnishings were high quality. There is limited parking available on site that needs to be reserved, but the staff member was able to share another option nearby for pay parking. I ended up parking on the street which was secure enough for one night.
• Carlos (7/5): Good - Breakfast was good. Fresh coffee, scrambled eggs, rice and beans, tortilla, small cheese square, and fried plantain. I passed on the supposed "sausage", which was really just a hot dog. The sloped ceiling was low in room 4, making a sudden wakeup and quick sit up a real bell ringer. The song birds started chirping and singing at 4 AM. The neighbor's geese were squawking at 5 AM. With only one bathroom for four bedrooms, any time someone would get up in the middle of the night to use the loo, light sleepers like me had to endure the noise. Very difficult to sleep late at that location.

• Vaughn (10/5): Great place, a 10-20 walk to anything you need. Very pleasant. - The breakfast was pretty good. I've certainly had worse. I love working at my desk. There's always coffee and tea and the staff is so accommodating. I wish the bed was more stationary. Getting into it made it slide across the room, away from the night stand. By the morning this can be almost 2 feet away from the night table..

• Karen (10/5): We loved the Trebol Amarillo and will return, it is in a great location and is good value for money. - Our room was larger than we had expected; the bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of hot water from the shower. The cooked breakfasts were excellent, I had the same one throughout our stay but my husband tried three different ones and loved them all. It was in a good location to walk into downtown Escazu in the evening, where there are some great bars and restaurants. And, above all, the team at Trebol was just lovely, helpful, friendly and always smiling - thank you so much for the warm welcome! Only one small thing, our room was next to the dining area and it could be a little noisy with people gathering for early breakfasts, but this was only an issue on our last day, the rest of the time it was very quiet.
