Guest Reviews
- Natasha (7/5): It was pretty good but the construction next door was irritating - Despite the outside appearance, the studio apartment was cozy and had all the basic requirements, especially for a solo traveller. The location is great, there are lots of nice cafes and restaurants in the area. There is no street parking which I wasn't aware of, it is pay by the hour parking, but there is 24 hour parking a few blocks away on Holt St, it's a short walk. There was a major renovation going on next door at No.39 so there was constant drilling and banging noises for the entire 4 day stay. This was really irritating because the walls are very thin and you can hear the noises from the neighbours quite clearly.
- Leah (10/5): Exceptional - I like this place. Contactless check-in is suitable for people with social phobia. However, the manager responded and arranged online very quickly and patiently. He agreed to let us put our luggage in the room in advance and check in early. The whole process was very pleasant. The room was very clean. All the furniture and appliances needed for daily life were set up in a limited space. The washing machine with dryer surprised me. I could quickly change into clean clothes, which made my travel experience better. Thank you There is almost nothing I am dissatisfied with. Because of the room type, it is a bit inconvenient to carry a suitcase up and down the stairs, but it is my first time staying in this type of house, and it is a very special experience.
- Wenjie (7/5): A cozy place to stay. - Convenient, good location, friendly host, good value.
- Lisa (8/5): Good for value - Spotless clean. Room was so tiny but very well-equipped. Candy was very responsive about my questions and they let me check in early which was really appreciated. The very narrow staircase to climb to get to the room. Check out time was 9am (which was fine by me) but someone banged on the door at 8:55am to see if I was ready to check out, which was quite unnecessary.
- Ruth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ka (9/5): Very nice host and compassionate staffs. - Flexible in arrangement of reception hours. Cannot use the super nice balcony.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (8/5): Good value for money - Location was great, close to everything Bed was too soft and the room not properly ventilated, very hot at night
- Barry (8/5): Very good -
- Ann (8/5): Very convenient for Central Station but also for cafes and bars in Surry Hills -
- May (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nathalie (7/5): Great location, and pleasant stay. - The location and facilities were great. Very easy to get to and close to the city and lots of great restaurants around. The host was super quick to respond to an issue and it got sorted out straight away. The kitchen has everything you need and there is even a washing machine. There are no curtains? So it gets light very early in the morning. The walls are thin and you can hear other people’s alarms going off, so take ear plugs if you are noise sensitive.
The pillows are very thin and could do with an upgrade too. And some milk for coffee/tea would be great.
- Liz (7/5): Good location and facilities in room - Good location, noisy street though
Lovely bathroom, recently updated Pillows not great, no tissues, couldn't watch TV - unable to work out how to get free to air TV working
- Megan (10/5): Comfortable room for a couple of nights in Sydney with a very nice host. - Very close to cafes and restaurants as well as public transportation. The stairs were very short and narrow but I managed.
