• Valeria (9/5): - Von den Zimmern hat man einen tollen Blick auf den See und die schneebedeckten Berge. Zur Ferienwohnung geht es steil bergauf, aber dort ist alles was man braucht z.B. Restaurants und Supermärkte. Von der Ferienwohnung aus kann man schöne Wanderungen über die Insel machen. Bezahlen kann man nur Bar! Diese Angabe sollte bei Booking.com geändert werden. Glücklicherweise hatten wir genügend Bargeld dabei, denn auf der Insel gibt es keinen ATM. Zum Frühstück gab es morgens unter anderem Ei. Da ich kein Ei esse wäre eine andere Option nett gewesen. Aber das ist ok.
• Carla (9/5): - Francesca war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Sie hat mir Tee und Bananen gegeben, als es mir nicht so gut ging. Die Unterkunft war so wie auf den Fotos und sehr sauber. Durch die Heizung und vielen Decken war es auch nachts warm genug :) Ein Regal oder mehr Ablagefläche für das Gepäck wäre super.
• Sol (10/5): Maravillosa - Mi estadía en Quilla Wasi fue perfecta. La atención de Francisca impecable, y el desayuno fantástico, bastante completo. La ubicación está lo suficientemente distante del bullicio, ideal para tener un ambiente paz y tranquilidad; pero así también bastante cerca de la zona de restaurantes y tiendas del pueblo. El cuarto estaba limpio y organizado, había muchas mantas, calefacción y agua caliente. La vista al lago encantadora.

• Taylor (10/5): Excellent stay - The room was large, clean, with excellent views. Breakfast was substantial and delicious. The hostess was very patient with my lack of Spanish. And I had a hot shower! I would definitely stay again. It was a bit difficult to find. There is a sign on the main road that says the hotel is in 20 metres, but not which direction. At that sign, you keep walking straight and the turn is on the left, down a grassy path.

• Emma (10/5): Highly recommended! - I had a lovely warm welcome from Señora Francesca. I wasn't feeling so well on arrival due to the altitude and the punishing walk from the boat, up the steps and to the guest house! She went off an made me some tea to help, which was very kind. The room was lovely and spacious with fantastic views of the lake. The bed was big with high quality bedding and the result was a super comfy sleep. Señora, I am sorry I didn't get to say goodbye and thank you. I tried to find you as I left but you may have been at church. Thanks for your hospitality and for making my stay so comfortable, it was lovely to meet you.

• Steve (9/5): - De vriendelijke en persoonlijke ontvangst. Francesca stond ons op te wachten onderweg en gedurende het ganse verblijf zorgde ze als een moeder voor ons. Ze was niet opdringerig maar heel begaan met ons verblijf en heel zorgzaam voor haar accomodatie. Ze zorgde persoonlijk voor het ontbijt (om 7 uur al naar de haven inkopen gaan doen) en het smaakte des te meer. De kamer was perfect in orde. Heerlijk bed met zachte lakens en warme dekens. Mooi uitzicht over Titicaca. Goede verwarming op de momenten dat het nodig was. Douche en toilet zoals het hoort. We konden een extra kast of legger gebruiken voor onze kledij.

• ILDAR (4/5): Great property but with non-stop musical event nearby. - The hosts returned the money for remaining night. Great view. There is a sort of community center next building to the property. On the first day of my staying they had some gathering. I couldn't figure out what exactly it was, but during daytime they just played music with sound amplification, in the evening it was symphonic orchestra playing 3-4 hours in a row, then only drums and flutes remained, but they kept playing well past midnight, maybe until dawn. And all of it was really loud. Next morning at 8:30 am symphonic orchestra started playing again, so i had to checkout earlier than planned. Luckily, the hosts made a refund for the remaining night.
• Emmanuel (10/5): Calme et très agréable pour visiter l'Isla del Sol! - Chambre avec une belle vue sur le lac et très confortable. Bien située pour pouvoir bénéficier des restaurants sur la crête de l'ile (pour le coucher de soleil par exemple). Il n'y avait personne quand nous sommes arrivés, mais cela a été résolu en 1/2 heure. Personnel qui donne de bons conseils même si nous étions trop fatigués pour faire la grande marche.

• Patrícia (8/5): Muito agradável e vista linda!! - O quarto é muito confortável e limpo. Fomos atendidos pelos proprietários que foram muito simpáticos e educados. A vista do quarto é linda! Reservamos no Quilla Wasi e foi muito difícil encontrar o local. GPS não funciona bem na ilha. Depois de muito caminhar com mochila nas costas e com a dificuldade da altitude, encontramos e estava fechado. As pessoas locais foram sempre muito gentis e nos auxiliaram. Descobrimos que havia um outro local chamado Casa de la Luna, dos mesmos proprietários e foi justamente onde ficamos hospedados. A hospedagem foi ótima, mas a dificuldade de caminhar perdidos e descobrir esta situação da localização ser outra e com outro nome! Outro problema foi o aquecedor do quarto que não funcionou. Ainda bem que havia muitos cobertores disponíveis pois fez muito frio durante a noite.

We contacted the number written on booking but he said that he couldnt do anything and that we should look for something else on the island. It was already 21.30 at night.
• Michele (3/5): if you value your rest, go somewhere else - nice view, heater and warm shower the place looks like a bit abandoned. it is not easy to find. but the real problem was that some guest and probably the owners had a party and we could not sleep. and I mean a crazy ass party, they were completely drunk and screaming all night. they even had a fight. cigarette smoke enters the room from the first floor. it was a nightmare.

• Dan (10/5): Fantastic 3 days and nights - This was a great little property. The rooms were very large and modern. The bathroom was large modern and very clean. The room had a heater and the beds had plenty of blankets. The service from the owner was fantastic. And she gave us delicious breakfasts. The hotel is located near the top of the Inca stairs and provides excellent views out over Lake titicaca. It is close to the hiking trails and the main restaurants in the town. Super value at this little hotel.

• Alan (8/5): Great location, not easy to find. - My bedroom was clean, fresh look and had great lake views. I asked to be met on arrival which I advised would be between 2-3 pm. I waited 2-2.25 pm but no one appeared - so I started walking. Finding the hostal was not easy.
• Marta (9/5): Superb - Very good stay overall, comfy and clean room and with a beautiful view of the sunrise. Two minor issues: no one was there when i arrived, so i had to go asking around the island before being directed to another hotel where the owners were, afterwards we had to climb back up to the hotel. And there was no water when I arrived, but the staff quickly fixed it.
• Sara (10/5): Incredible views over a magical island and lake with a kind and hospitable host - The location is perfect - it is up in Pueblo Yumuni and therefore has amazing views (we could watch the sunrise from our terrace!) and is close (10min walk further uphill) to the restaurants and bars in the town. There is a big uphill climb to get to the hotel from Puerto Yumuni where the boat drops you off … this is completely worth it compared to staying in a hotel in the port but please, don’t make the mistake we did and bring large or heavy bags! Bring a small backpack and store your big luggage in Copacabana. The room is spacious and comfortable and the owner Angel was especially kind and hospitable to us. Every morning he cooked a simple but delicious breakfast for us of eggs, bread, jam and fruits with coffee and always helped answer our questions about the island with patience and knowledge - he was a lovely calming energy every morning (the whole island feels like this!). Recommend staying at least two nights on this magical island if you have the time … on our second day we took a boat from the port up to Challapampa in the north and hiked to the Incan ruins and then back to Yumuni via the camino Norte - Sur, it’s a challenging (altitude!) but rewarding hike. We loved it here

I was welcomed warmly and felt very comfortable throughout my stay. The property is obviously quite new, so everything felt very clean and fresh. I would happily stay again :)

Hosts are very kind. It’s great to walk around the island. Don’t miss the highest point. Don’t expect hot shower as it doesn’t always work. Hosts are sometimes hard to find in the property but at the end, always available.
• Louise (10/5): Tranquil haven when you need a rest from backpacking - This place is a gem - gorgeous view of lake, bright and clean rooms, hot water in showers, excellent heaters available in room, decent breakfast. Lucy who served breakfast has a lovely manner and is very polite. I stayed 3 nights and she changed my sheets and towels after the 2nd night which was a lovely touch. It is quite the climb up from the port - you may need to stop a few times on the way with a heavy backpack, but it’s worth it!

• Dan_nt (10/5): Sunrise views from modern room - Beautiful sunrise view from terrace and bedroom window from second floor. Relatively new rooms with modern bathroom and hot shower. WiFi was good. Breakfast was filling. About 30 minutes walk up but that means you're only 10 minutes from the top where you can find lots of restaurants with sunset views. Nicely decorated room. Need better signage to find the place.
• Bridget (10/5): Exceptional - This is the perfect spot to watch the sun rise over Lake Titicaca and a short walk to restaurants that have fabulous views to watch sunsets (though take a torch to find way back!). It's a beautiful, peaceful spot. As with all accommodation on the island, to reach it requires a steep climb at altitude up a path. It's manageable (I did it) but I recommend you travel light. Well worth the effort and as I say this applies to wherever you stay.

Nice breakfast included and amazing hosts who will give you tips about what to do on the island. They even brought me extra blankets without me asking for it, because they knew it would be cold. It is a little hard to find if you don’t have WiFi. Make sure to pin the location before you arrive to the island.
