• Naddl Fichte (10/5): Good communication - Could cancel our request for free bc we didn't make it in the night that was super, good communication with the host. Sad that we could no make a reservation for the other night.
• Donatas (10/5): Simple, clean tiny house on the hill! 5 star view! - We were there for two nights. The place is for nature lovers. The price and quality is perfect deal. Clean, simple accommodation. Who expect get 5 star resort hotel room please search another accommodation. As I wrote the accommodation for the nature lovers is perfect. You will get stunning views, bird ant other animals sounds. There isn’t hot water in the shower. Isn’t big problem, but for future guests reviews i think it might be worth have it.
• Dominique (5/5): - L’emplacement était magnifique. La chambre est vraiment rudimentaire mais toilette propre. A l’étage une terrasse avec superbe vue mais la cuisine (si on peut dire cuisine) le fond des casseroles brûlée, le réchaud fonctionne à peine et lorsque l’on marche sur la terasse on a l’impression que l'on va passer à travers. Excepté la vue, c'était pas notre tasse de thé.
• Genaro (9/5): Increíbles vistas al volcán - La experiencia fue increíble, llegamos de noche, con todas las indicaciones previas por wsp, y una gran información de cómo llegar, tuvimos auto check in, y el volcán se veía en la claridad de la luna, increíble vista, por la mañana abrir la ventana para ver el amanecer es una experiencia maravillosa, la ubicación alejado del centro, silencioso y agradable barrio, con vehículo es fácil llegar, aunque si tienes un vehículo muy bajo se puede complicar la llegada porque pasas por unas calles de tierra con muchos pozos, (y eso que no fue en época de lluvia), Salomón muy amable con nosotros dándonos consejos, volvería a hospedarme allí Llegar de noche y no tener agua caliente en un lugar que la temperatura refresca por la noche es lo único desagradable. Nada que haya modificado nuestra experiencia gratificante
• Blandine (6/5): Bien pour 2 nuits pas plus - La vue sur le volcan Être en pleine nature , aucun bruit , juste les animaux La cuisine en rooftop très agréable L’hôte très agréable très réceptif très accueillant et très disponible L’endroit est secure et isolé N’y allez pas si vous avez peur des bêtes Il y avait des cafards partout, même sous mon oreiller, et des araignées en veux tu en voila. J’ai dormi toute habillée. S’il pleut n’y allez pas car le logement est sur une Colline et du coup il faut traverser toute la boue pour y accéder.

• Estefania (7/5): Podría ser el mejor alojamiento de la zona pero fallan algunos básicos - La vistas increíbles directas al volcán arenal, el anfitrión muy amable, el gatito del alojamiento que nos hizo compañía, el ambiente muy especial de la zona ha sido increíble y el desayuno muy rico A este alojamiento con poquitos arreglos básicos lo harían excepcional! Por ejemplo una mosquitera para la ventana, y algo para asegurar que no entren animalillos, nos hemos topado con una araña mediana en el baño llevándonos un susto. También no hay agua caliente que sería muy fácil de instalar con una ducha eléctrica, colchones más cómodos y pequeños detalles que hacen que la experiencia no sea un 10.

• Guest (9/5): Rustic but charming stay in the countryside - We stayed here for one night and really enjoyed the experience overall. Just be aware of a couple of things if you’re not used to rural accommodations. Access to the property is easy until the last **100 meters**, where the road turns into an unpaved track that climbs up toward the house. In dry weather it’s no problem, but if it rains it may get muddy and a bit trickier to drive. Parking is exactly as described by the hosts — private and free, right in front of their home. From there, you walk about 25 meters up a small grassy path to reach the cabin. The cabin itself matched the photos perfectly — simple, clean, and cozy. Beds were very clean and comfortable, and the fan really helped at night. Just note that this is a rural setting, and the doors and windows are not sealed 100%, which means you will see insects. We saw a few ants, cockroaches, grasshoppers, and even woke up to a large spider on the door. Nothing unexpected for the area, but definitely not ideal if you’re afraid of bugs. Also, there are no mosquito screens on the windows. There is a shared kitchen with a gas stove, cooking utensils, plates, a sink, a kettle for boiling water, and a fridge — everything we needed for basic meals. Breakfast was excellent — scrambled eggs, rice and beans, plantains, fresh coffee — served by the very kind host. Communication with the owners was also smooth and helpful. Overall, a great little rustic stay in nature, clean and exactly as advertised — just be prepared for the insects and you’ll enjoy it!

You are right in front of the Lake and Vulcano. Salomon and his family are very helpful and friendly. The house is rustic but got everything you need.

• Claudine (9/5): Vue à couper le souffle - La vue sur le lac et le volcan, les sons de la nature en se réveillant, c’est un lieu magnifique pour un dépaysement total. Salomon est très sympathique et le déjeuner très bon! La chambre est rustique, mais c’était parfait pour nous et nous avons apprécié la cuisine et la terrasse sur le toit quand il y avait de la pluie. Le Chat Panterin est très affectueux et gentil :)

• Kristien (10/5): Exceptional - Place was beautiful and peaceful the host was helpful and even offers tours. I read the reviews that its a long walk to the property. Its really only a 30 sec walk up a hill. Bonus points for the cat
• Hanna (10/5): An ideal place to get away from the crowds - The location is awesome! The villa is on the top of the hill overlooking the lake and the volcano. The view is absolutely stunning. The villa is very private, surrounded by nature. The room has limited amenities but you don’t really need much. People don’t come to Costa Rica to stay indoors :) The deck upstairs is a nice place to hang out in the morning or at night. We had breakfasts and dinners with the volcano view. My husband and I were greeted by the host upon arrival. Solomon showed us everything, answered our questions, and gave us some advice on places to visit. He also prepared yummy breakfast for us every morning. Our host’s Bombay cat Panterito liked to hang out with us all the time we spent on premises. My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Solomon’s place. Thank you so much for your hospitality and friendliness. Pura vida! We were not prepared for cold showers :(

One of the nicest people we have met in Costa Rica, loads of good local advice and really looked out for us (especially during trickier weather during the rainy season). Amazing location with great views, and loads of awesome things to do within a short distance. We will 100% return here if we have the opportunity, incredible couldn't fault it.
