- Christine (9/5): - This is a beautiful home in a gorgeous location. It is very well appointed with everything you need.
Clean, bright, and modern with stunning views!
- Jilly (10/5): We loved our stay and hope to be back! - Loved the house and views. The kitchen, bathrooms, bedrooms furniture, artwork, and outdoor deck - everything was beautiful and we loved our stay!
- Christine (9/5): Superb - The property is delightfulfully and thoughtfully decorated. It provided every amenity that we needed during our stay. The views are fabulous, and we were very comfortable.
It is quiet at night and we would be more than happy to stay here again.
- Barbara (10/5): Lovely views across Pittwater - Great size house, comfortable set up for a group of friends to share. Well equipped kitchen and bathrooms. Good communication with host.
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect - The kids loved the spa bathe & bubbles. the steepness of the driveway
- Deborah (10/5): Exceptional - The view, big round table that was protected from rain! The house had all the essentials and kindly gifted us a bottle of champagne! There wasn’t enough gas in the barbecue. It might be worth checking this before the next guest
- Mihelle (10/5): Wonderul Family getaway - This home was very spacious and comfortable for our 2 night stay with great Yacht harbour views. We stayed as a family for a wedding and could not fault a thing. There was a gas fireplace for heating or air-conditioning for cooling. The double room downstairs with ensuite was separate from the main area of the house and private with its own TV. The deck was large and protected with plenty of room for entertaining and the kitchen spacious and well equiped. All areas of the house seem recently renovated, fresh and clean. The driveway is very steep so we just parked at the top.
- Vashti (10/5): Memorable summer holiday - Absolutely loved the balcony views ! Having good viewing for NYE fireworks were an unexpected and delightful suprise ! Good ammenities and lovely walks nearby. The private bedroom downstairs was ideal as a parents retreat. The proximity to beaches and shops was great. Accommodation was very spacious and all 6 of us were very comfortable. Air-conditioning in all rooms was well appreciated. Enjoyed the daily native bird visitors on the deck. Very neat and tidy facilities created a refreshing stay for us. The coffee and tea and snacks made our arrival very welcome. We loved our holiday here. Would book again ! The steep driveway and parking was a bit of a hassle as we had 3 cars but did not at all detract from our good time. Owner did communicate this prior. Stove and oven were a bit complex to use but instructions were left in a convenient place. No door on the downstairs bedroom ensuite was odd as there is a light on bathroom mirror that does not switch off, a privacy curtain could work well here. The downstairs bed could be made more comfortable with a mattress topper.
- Bri (9/5): Beautiful house with everything you need. Wonderful views. - Beautiful house with everything you need.
Wonderful views.
- Dana (10/5): Very relaxing I wish we could have stayed longer - It was exceptionally clean and had everything we needed.
- Anne (7/5): Please note we have never complained before on any booking.com stay. The house is beautiful and comfortable, as we have - The property is lovely and very clean. However not really ideal with two babies starting to crawl/walk. One cut her face open under the nose on hard/sharp edge of stairs and we spent the first night in emergency department of Northern Beaches Hospital. This is not the owners fault. Just not a practical place with very young ones. I think the owners need to have an operations manual for the electric jug ( would only work on coffee setting so not sure if it’s fully operational), induction stove ( we spent time finding U tube videos how to operate and some pans are incompatible with the stove), Swiss microwave ( couldn’t find a U tube video). Lastly we were attending a wedding and needed to give groomsmen shirts a final press. We took our own iron, but trying to iron shirts on the tiny bench top board was just about impossible. Please provide a standard ironing board.
- Sanjeev (9/5): Superb -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Eddie (10/5): Exceptional - Great location, very comfortable, would stay again
- Daniel (8/5): Not So Happy Jan - The house had two levels. Upstairs was fine, the downstairs room not so.
The view over the Pittwater was lovely.
It did comfortably accommodate 4 couples.
With a little more attention to detail, the property would be very good. Items mentioned below do need attention. The electronic locks on both entry doors were very difficult to operate, and the instructions supplied were not so good. As there were four couples coming and going, and all had issues with the locks, we made our own instructions and that made it easier. The locks themselves though were problematic and need updating.
The remote on the fireplace didn't work, so the gas flame couldn't be adjusted when in use.
The driveway was extremely steep, something not disclosed in the advertising info. Being a very wet weekend, driving down it was deemed perilous, so we didn't chance it. There were skid marks on the driveway from previous visitors indicating getting back up was difficult.
On street parking was very limited as the street was a small, tight cul-de-sac, and all the local residents also parked on the street.
The downstairs bedroom was accessed via a long, external staircase, not a problem in fine weather, but it rained all weekend when we stayed, so going up and down meant you got wet. The stairs were also very slippery.
No bed side lamps in downstairs bedroom.
The downstairs ensuite seemed to be in an unfinished state and did not have a door, so no privacy. The walls were covered in tile grout which was rather odd.
There is only one bathroom with toilet in the main house. We had 3 couples staying on the main floor, so bathroom and toilet use was a juggle.
Seats on both toilets were very loose, making them difficult to use.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Nicely presented spacious comfortable home with a deck with a stunning view of the water and yachts. Our family loved the location.
- John (10/5): Great comfortable place, with water views, newly renovated and great entertaining areas - Great comfortable place, with water views, seems newly renovated with clean finishes and furniture. Great outdoor entertaining area which is covered so it's good even in the rain. While there are some nice local cafes and restaurants (short drive), Avalon beach was probably the best place to try out. One of the rooms requires external access, this is not a problem but could have been clearer on the listing
