• Julia (10/5): Historic comfort with spectacular views - Martina unit in the Convent, Franklin, was a comfortable, stunning place to stay. Communication with the generous hosts was timely, and gaining access was easy. The premises were roomy and furnishings were in keeping with the historic home and very comfortable. We had a very omfy bed, and warmth throughout from heat pump air con and underfloor heating. We were grateful for the laundry facilities, and there was a lovely deep bath in the spacious bathroom. Sitting out on the front verandah with cheese and a glass of wine looking across to the Huon River and beyond was a great way to wind down each day. There were extra provisions provided for us too, such as biscuits for the cheese board - a nice touch. We loved Martina and would rebook if staying in the Huon region again. Highly recommended.

There was absolutely nothing missing; every detail had been thoughtfully considered. The inclusion of a high-quality coffee machine (not a pod machine) was a standout, and we were warmly welcomed with complimentary wine and cheese on arrival. The bathroom was extraordinary—spacious and beautifully designed, with an impressively large bath that added to the overall experience. The location was perfect, and everything about the accommodation was simply magnificent. The host provided clear and helpful instructions, making our stay seamless from start to finish. We couldn’t fault a single thing and would highly recommend it. We can't faulter a single thing.
• Christine (10/5): Such a lovely place to stay in this beautiful area of Tasmania. - The accommodation was spacious, comfortable, clean, well equipped and tastefully furnished. The view of the Huon River was amazing. Hosts Wendy and Tim were very friendly and helpful. We appreciated the extra provisions in the pantry and fridge. Nothing. All was good.

• Linda (10/5): Perfect place to unwind. - The apartment was perfect for me. It was peaceful and spacious, and had absolutely everything I needed. The bed was very comfortable. The view of water with moored yachts made it an idilic location for a quiet getaway. The lovely wine and cheese were a delightful bonus. Wendy is a wonderful host who has thought of everything. There was nothing I didn’t like.

• Diane (10/5): A wonderful comfy unit - everything was supplied to make our stay enjoyable - Location of the Martina Unit was perfect for our stay. We were visiting Franklin to attend our granddaughter's wedding as well as an extra couple of days beforehand to enjoy the area. Wendy and Tim were wonderful hosts - everything was supplied to make our 3 nights stay comfortable and enjoyable. The ambience of the unit is wonderful. There were some extra special touches, including a bottle of bubbles and local cheese in the fridge for us to enjoy. Thank you so much Wendy and Tim for looking after us so well. Nothing to not like - except we wish our stay was longer.

Gorgeous huge bath in a fully decked out bathroom. Everything you need from fully equipped kitchen and staple cooking ingredients. Bottle of champagne and cheese on arrival… so many amazing local choices for really special food delights ( Cinnamon and Cherry 🍒) magnificent. Gorgeous outlook and so relaxing sitting on the front veranda, admiring the view with a glass of wine. Teenage boys very happy with choice of two TVs in both longe and main bedroom. Comfy, warm beds. Awesome vibe all round.

• Anderson (9/5): Superb - We were greeted with champagne, cheese & milk by Wendy the host. A lovely way to begin our stay. As we walked through the door it was warm & cosy. We loved the way the lounge was decorated. The bed was very comfortable. The big bath was fabulous!!! The view was spectacular. Mist on the river with boats on the water,a seaplane landed then took off again. The perfect getaway.

• Erica (10/5): Peaceful, quiet and homely cottage feel. - This was our favourite place to stay on our Tasmanian holiday; peaceful old world atmosphere, super comfy bed, plenty of supplies and great facilities. It was great lying on the daybed with a book or watching TV. The bath is huge, strong hot shower and very handy washer/dryer. Sitting on the front verandah watching the river was very therapeutic. The place was big enough to each have your own me-time. The road was quiet at night, so we slept with the windows open. Nearby Frank's Ciderhouse was worth a visit and we enjoyed the Huon River Cruise to learn so much about the history of the area. The driveway is a bit tricky at first but manageable; parking behind the units on the left.

The bathroom was very luxurious with heating options aplenty. The cottage is beautifully decorated, with a perfect blend of traditional charm and modern comfort. One of the standout features was the stunning bathroom – it was like stepping into a little sanctuary. The attention to detail in the design was evident, with high-quality fixtures and a spacious layout that made it a true retreat after a day of exploring. The cottage had all the amenities we could possibly need, from a fully equipped kitchen to a comfy living area that was perfect for relaxing. Whether you're enjoying a cup of tea or soaking in the luxurious bathroom, this cottage provides the ultimate in comfort and tranquility. In addition to the lovely interior, the location was fantastic being close to Franklin's centre. I highly recommend this Covent Cottage to anyone looking for a cosy, relaxing stay with all the comforts of home. The parking is a little tight and confusing but it still worked for the space.

• Tarnya (10/5): If you're considering Convent Franklin Martina Unit don't hesitate, you will not be disappointed. - This property was perfect. The apartment was more than I could have imagined. Close to many local eateries, supermarkets and food truck. The kitchen was stocked with anything you could possible need in your home away from home. Wendy has outdone herself here. The view from the front veranda is mesmerising. Easy parking and easy to find the property. The bedroom was inviting with its quality bedding and generous amount of blankets, pillows and towels. Sitting in the lounge area you could watch as day broke while sipping a fresh coffee. Would love to go back and will definitely recommend to my friends and family. Nothing

• Zozo (10/5): Perfect little home - The house had a warm, cozy, clean feeling to it. I hate baths as I feel that they are dirty, but not this bath!!! I had to use it, and what a pleasure. It was absolutely beautiful! The linen and towels were soft, fresh, and with a good smell to them. The bed was perfect, with clean, soft sheets. We drove down the driveway, and I was in complete awe of the beauty of this town. The lake across the road had a few little boats and the yachts floating on the water and with the sun rise.. how stunning! I want to live here!! Checking out
• Rod (9/5): A Great Base to Explore the Attractions of the Huon Valley - We stayed 3 nights and found the accommodation to be very comfortable, well provisioned with supplies which was very helpful as there is no general store in Franklin. It is in a great location with exceptionable views and an easy walk to a lot of the restaurants and eating options. Franklin is less then a hour's drive from the caves at Hastings which are well worth a visit. We should have stayed longer.

The fridge and pantry were fully stocked with breakfast goodies including fresh bread, butter and eggs, cereal, milk - just like home! The bed linen was good quality and everything was so clean.
