- Lucy (5/5): Passable - Spacious and comfortable room, and all the facilities are new and clean. 1. The location is not convenient for public transportation users, as it takes 40–60 minutes by bus to reach the downtown area. It's too expensive, and not worth the price if you only need a private room to rest.
2. The washing machine is always occupied even during the daytime.
- Paun (7/5): Good - The smell outside the property
- Xiaojin (7/5): Good -
- Anonymous (2/5): Not Happy to stayed. Not recommended. - Nothing at all. The washroom was smelly and the Room. We spring our perfume no mirror insides the room. and not pleasant the owner. didn't tell us where is the shower room. Where is the microwave

- Vomscheid (9/5): Nice and practical shared house - We have the "parental suite" (room I) which had an included bathroom. It was a really large and comfortable bedroom and bathroom.
The localisation was not so far away from center, we could take 2 bus to reach it and it was easy to park the car. There a grocery shot open until 11pm quite close by.
Kitchen was shared. The kitchen was quite small, you could not use more than 1 utility at once otherwise the fuses would blow (according to the instructions). You could only use one pot at a time since there were only one spot for the cooker. It was missing some bowls (they were only size small, so not easy for cereals).
- Roberto (8/5): Very good -
- Gideon (8/5): Very good -
- Mizzy (7/5): Personal clothes damaged - Nice park opposite. Poor pillows. Bed sloped towards head.
Bleach all over laundryroom ruined over $350 of clothes.
Was not close to downtown.
No directions to facility or amenities left by hosts. They were only concerned by house rules. They were concerned that council thought they were housing too many people due to the large number of bedrooms.
- Maria (10/5): Exceptional - everything was comfortable and nice not found
- Chad (5/5): Passable - TV with streaming services.
Nice location with a pub nearby. Owner started doing noisy home reno when I arrived.
Back yard has a glass barrier that bangs around at night, which is quite distracting..

- Hanguang (8/5): Very good - Location and transportation is convenient. Have to share bathroom .
- Sophie (10/5): Exceptional - This place is perfect for a short stay or few day lay over. It’s very comfortable, clean, well equipped and well situated. The staff made checking and check out extremely easy and were very accommodating when we booked last minute, preparing our room within one our hour of the booking late in the evening. Couldn’t recommend more, perfect stay and great value for money.

- Victoria (10/5): Great place, great location! - This was absolutely fantastic! We were a little apprehensive at first, being shared spaces and bathrooms, however it was great. You're not sharing with too many folks and we didn't have any issues.
The neighborhood was lovely, and everything seemed to be only a $20 cab ride away.
We would love to come back here again!
Also Liz and Lily were very responsive and lovely when we had any questions. The room got a little warm, but there was a fan so it's not even an issue.
- Michael (8/5): Very good - Cleanliness of the place, quiet location

- Anonymous (8/5): comfortable stay in clean home, quiet neighborhood - bed was comfy, home was clean, quiet neighborhood, close to a bus stop, easy entry bathroom had lots of hair on the floor and in shower drain. host was not responsive when making special request. beeping of the front door was disruptive

- Tunyalux (7/5): My shoes got stolen, and another guests food allegedly got stolen from the common spaces here. - It was a short walk to the bus that takes you directly to downtown, which was convenient. Everything was very glean, and the bathroom in particular was spotless. My shoes got stolen after the first night I stayed. I put them at the shoe cubby at the front entrance because thats where everyone puts their shoes, but the next morning when I was about to leave, I could not find them there or anywhere nearby. As I was trying to find them, another guest staying in a different room told me their food got stolen from the shared kitchen. I messaged both the hosts, one of them (Liz) took over 12 hours to respond to me, and could not offer much hell. The other responded with the same messages, saying they could not guarantee that anything in the shared spaces would be safe from theft. I don’t blame the hosts for the theft, but it was concerning that things were being stolen and they did not offer anything to help with the situation or make me feel more safe, like change the front door code. I ended up going downtown without proper shoes and buying new ones.
- Yanthi (7/5): Good - The location is close to the bus stop. The washing machine is available to use, but we have to bring our own laundry powder. There are too many rules around the house. The house includes the content inside is quite old but tidy. There is no instruction to use the oven. To reach the bathroom from my room/B is inconvenient, either go downstairs or upstairs. The shower floor is slippery and needs to be put in a rubber mat. The pillow is very soft, I didn't feel I was using it. I keep knocking/ fixing the doorstep to the room as it is loose and unsafe.
- Uncle (9/5): Hidden Gem in Vancouver - The location was excellent for us. The house was quiet at all times Pillows could have been more substantial.

- Nyima (8/5): Relaxed few days because of the house situation and landlord - I like landlord very patient! Location is very perfect!

- Subham (8/5): A great stay close to Downtown for our short trip to Vancouver - The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom was also nice and clean with all the toiletries. Overall it was a great stay for our short trip to Vancouver.
The location is good and it is a 7 mins walk from the nearest bus stop. It takes around 30 mins to reach downtown by bus so it was convenient for us.
The location was also beautiful with lots of greenery around. There were pretty cherry blossoms around. The location given on the booking page is not proper. There were no Tim Hortons or any restaurants nearby. The closest grocery store was Safeway which has a Starbucks within it.
- Elaura (5/5): cool but the adress wasn’t the same has it was in booking it supposed to be on the 31st avenue and it was on the 29th, - it was very clean and huge the adress wasn’t the same has it was in booking
it supposed to be on the 31st avenue and it was on the 29th, nobody tells us about this
- Claudia (8/5): Very good -
- Marina (1/5): this place does not offer a secure environment. - Nothing Initially, I booked a completely different apartment, but upon confirmation, I was given a different address—an immediate red flag. When my mother and I arrived, the property appeared decent, and we had a quiet first night. However, the second night turned into a nightmare. Two young men arrived, creating chaos by slamming doors at 3 a.m. and behaving erratically. We felt genuinely unsafe and left the property the next morning.
Be warned: the host may switch the address after booking, meaning reviews might not apply to the actual property you end up at. We encountered excessive noise and intoxicated neighbors—this place does not offer a secure environment.
- Bui (9/5): Superb - The location 42nd Ave is very near Canada line so I can go from and to Airport easily
- Darioyya (9/5): Superb - The room was clean and comfortable. Good neighborhood, with easy access to public transport.
- Carl (9/5): Surprisingly nice location and rooms, some smell issue that resolved after opening a window. - It was very clean. By room has a balcony and I felt like I had a lot of privacy in my room. There was a strong smell when I came in, maybe from a cleaning product or a air freshener, which I did not like. But after some airing put the smell was gone at least in my room. And it did not come back. After airing out there was no smell whatsoever which suggest to me that everything was super clean and well maintained.
- Phillip (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hoard (8/5): It's overall good but the staff go out of their way to not interact with guests. - did not use. The limited interaction I did have with the staff was unproductive. I had a small issue with booking and they were not helpful. Bottom line is I went somewhere else unfortunately because they were not really interested in them settling my issue. The place is clean, pretty, and spacious however the girls (Liz) really don't want to be bothered with questions or come up a solution to my problem (even though it would have made the establishment more money). So if you got an issue the girls who 'manage' the place won't do anything for you. But the place is pretty good.

- Trevor (1/5): This real Haunted House gave me PTSD !!WARNING!! - This place is absolutely terrifying. This was the most haunted house I have ever been in. Me and my partner spent a whole 15 minutes here before experiencing enough paranormal events to literally give me ptsd. Right from the second I stepped foot into the house, I felt chills. The living room has no natural light and looked more like a funeral parlor, which I thought was odd. I was assigned room Z which turned out to be a large room at the very back of the basement. Within the first few minutes, we heard a large slapping sound on the wall inside the walk-in closet right beside my head, which scared my partner, who was on the other side of the room. The door somehow locked itself while we were in the room and we left very quickly feeling extremely perturbed. I came back with friends a few hours later to gather the stuff I had left and as we left the house the entire house literally shuttered like 3-4 times scaring the crap outta my two friends there to help me grab my stuff. It was a waste of 100 dollars and forever has given me ptsd. Just the thought of what happened makes me nauseous. DO NOT STAY AT THE W29TH PLACE unless you enjoy being scared to death. Also the place smelled really old and the other guests were creepy and pretended to not speak English. ( but when I heard one of them on their phones they were speaking almost perfect english) this place was sus af.
- Alex (9/5): Superb - Pillows were a bit too firm for my liking. Everything else was great.
- Aj (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenny (10/5): A beautiful review from a satisfied fellow - I like everything about the accommodation, very easy to locate, 5 minutes walk to the bus stop and bus passes every 10 minutes. The house is neatly maintained, I stayed only for 3 nights and the house keepers came to clean on the second day of my stay. I went with my towel and cutleries but didn't use them. 2 big towels and 2 small face towels were provided and the kitchen was well equipped. If you love your native food, you can prepare everything there as there are pots and hot plate to cook your delicacy. Just go with your suitcase and enjoy a quiet, neat and cozy environment. Nothing really, just that a wrong door code was sent to me before my arrival and that kept me outside for a few minutes. However, the house owner responded almost immediately and sent a correct door code.

- Darius (7/5): Lovely rooms - The room was great. The house layout can be a bit confusing and it can be hard to tell what places you can and cannot go. It's a self check in so if you have any questions make sure you ask in advance.
- Yuan (6/5): Pleasant - Clean and quiet Current address is a bit confused. Accurate address should be accessible on booking page.

- Julian (9/5): Superb - Very large room with a TV including Netflix, etc. The washing machines were very useful and free of charge. A Freshslice was just a 10-minute walk away, which was very convenient for us. Gaps under the doors were disruptive to privacy. There was little natural light in the room. The location wasn't ideal for walking around and seeing things. However, there is a bus stop nearby, and it's of course no problem by car.
- Jorge (8/5): Very good -
- Yuki (7/5): Good -
- Newlewis (6/5): Pleasant - Not much Noise, constantly changing room, cold room, dirty room...
- Realvin (1/5): I didn’t even stay here cause it’s to old and scary house it’s like Haunted Hoise. - I didn’t like it Everything waist of money stay away of this guest house. Its hard to find the location.
- Nelba (1/5): Will not return or recommend to other travellers. - Room was spacious. Undeserved 8.3 rating on Booking.com. The photos and details are misleading, and it seems like they may be advertising multiple properties under the same name. We stayed at the West 29th Ave, the house was old, smelled unpleasant, and had a creepy vibe. The bathroom was shared, and the heat was turned off even before we woke up on our first morning. The contact person was unhelpful, dismissing our concerns by saying it’s very cold in Vancouver in January. When we asked for an extra towel, she said it wasn’t necessary since we were only staying for two nights. I hope this feedback helps other travellers—if you can afford it, I’d recommend booking somewhere else.
