Guest Reviews
- Donna Greenslade (10/5): - Lovely bedroom very comfortable great host and spotless bathroom as well as close to train Loved everything
- Barbara (9/5): - Nice room with view into the garden
Quiet and peaceful neighbourhood
Just some steps away from bloor street where you can find everything
Big refrigerator where you can put your food in rumbling from the subway

- Nitsan (1/5): - Nothing I stayed at this property and unfortunately had a very concerning experience that future guests should be aware of.
The listing did not clearly communicate that the owner resides on-site in the same corridor as guests. During my stay, I heard loud, distressing noises coming from the owner’s room late in the evening. When I briefly opened my door to check if someone needed help, it became clear that the sounds were coming from the owner engaging in private activity with their door open, which could be clearly heard from the shared hallway.
This situation made me feel very uncomfortable and unsafe, particularly given the shared living arrangement and lack of privacy boundaries. As a result, I chose to leave the property the following morning earlier than planned.
I reported the incident to Booking.com immediately after leaving. While I was later offered a small amount in travel credit, I do not feel that this adequately addresses the seriousness of the safety concern. The room itself was as described. The problem is who you are sharing the space with, and what Booking.com does when you raise a concern about it.
- Elizabeth (10/5): The best budget downtown guest house I've stayed in in Toronto--and I've stayed in many! - Exceptionally clean. Room was simple but had all the key amenities I needed: comfy bed, work desk & chair, handy electric outlets, bright window, good wifi. Full kitchen stocked with basics, including coffee. Owner was helpful with my query before arriving. Great value. Great location steps from the subway. Often, this kind of shared house is in a neighbourhood that is loud at night, but this was a quiet, residential street. I had no concerns as a woman travelling alone. Really a gem for a budget traveller wanting to stay downtown! There was nothing that was a problem. The one improvement I'd have loved to see was a comfy chair in the room, just an "club" chair kind of thing, anything with a bit of cushion. In a place where there's no lounge or shared living room, it's really nice to have a spot to sit in one's room that isn't the bed or the task chair at the desk.
- Justine (8/5): - Location couldn't be better - mere steps away from Bathurst subway station and from bloor street. Given that closeness, I felt like the sound was quite faint. The bed was very comfortable! I also appreciated having a communal fridge to put some food away. No complaints!
- Viviane (9/5): Perfect location, and a seamless experience - Quiet, clean and comfortable room at exceptional location 2 minutes from the entrance to Bathurst subway station.
Communication was clear and the check-in process was smooth.
I highly recommend for solo female travelers as I felt safe and comfortable during my stay.
- Hong (10/5): - Stayed four nights for uni events. This property is managed so professionally and with so many warm touches! The night lights along the hallway are perfectly placed. The mirror in the room is super useful. The printed tips on microwave, windows and cupboards are very thoughtful. The quiet hours rule is observed. Not to mention everything is super clean! Even the bathroom pineapple decor matches with the coconut handsoap :))). 住的开心,下次还住!The bed is v comfy, too. Perfect for my work trip. thank you, frank! nothing

- Gerard (9/5): Very pleasant and convenient location for Toronto - No breakfast, the location was perfect Everything was fine
- Yoonjoo (7/5): I wouldn’t stay there again. - It was a clean and well organized place. The room was exactly the same with the presented picture. The next room sharing the wall was very noisy as if they were watching a game or something. They didn’t stop making loud noises until 10:50 p.m. and it was so disturbing.

Quindi quiet, direi proprio no.
- Bochner (8/5): - Great location for my needs and city travel. Other guests quiet and respectful. Nice and quiet street but slight rumbling of subway might be a problem for a light sleeper.
- Carla (10/5): - Warm and spacious bedroom. Comfortable bed and very clean facilities. Friendly and attentive staff. Very nice location close to downtown by public transport.
- Tilmann (10/5): -
- Zhengyang (6/5): -
- Vivien (7/5): Beste Lage in Koreatown - - sehr gute Lage in Koreatown
- ÖPNV direkt um die Ecke
- gute Ausstattung des Zimmers und des Hauses - leider ist die Geräuschkulisse/ die Vibration der Subway, vor allem bei leichtem Schlaf, extrem störend
- Franco (8/5): Very close to the metro station - Close to the metro station, in a quiet area it is good for visiting the center of the city. The owner is very kind The room was a litfle hot
- Kate (10/5): - Lovely house in a nice residential street. Super close to subway stop. Cute, modern decor. Clean and bright space.
- Pavel (10/5): - Frank was very welcoming and always at hand. The room is perfect even for longer stay, the shared bathroom was just next door, nice and clean with beautiful vintage bathtub. Shared kitchen and fridge was also convenient. Thanks, I enjoyed that, Frank!!
- jean-philippe (9/5): A Nice and quiet place to visit Toronto easily - Frank's house is a peaceful place to visit Toronto. The subway station (line 2) is really close by! The house is charming. My room was spacious and tasteful. I particularly appreciated the garden behind the house for reading quietly. Frank is an attentive host and always concerned about doing well. This place is the anti-impersonal rental! Frank is there when needed without ever imposing himself. maybe make the garden in front of the house more welcoming.
- forensic1976 (10/5): Quaint little place in Koreatown - Lovely home in a quiet neighborhood but close to shops and lively clubs The old fashioned tub with shower was a bit difficult to get in and out of with mobility issues but fine overall
- Laura (10/5): -
- 一貫 (10/5): - They sent me a lot of messages beforehand.
- Danny (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Superb - Great location, near restaurants/laundromat/transport. Clean spacious room, great shower and bathroom. Not on a busy street. Only problem is tram noise/rumble evening and then morning and so used earplugs, mostly successful sleep.
- Nuñez (10/5): Exceptional - The neighborhood is very pleasant, quiet, and residential, and the house is fantastic. I would have liked to stay there longer. I would definitely come back. Everything perfect
- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - To begin with just to clarify, booking.com have to add the 10+++ mark in order to grade this place.
Where do I start? Location? Cleanliness? Accommodation?
All of them they deserve 10+++ mark!!!!!
The place was spotless!!!!
The location was right in the center of everything!!!! You name it, it's there!!!!
The accommodation was probably one of the best places I've been in awhile. And the bathroom? Ohh THAT bathroom!!!
You have to see it in order to appreciate the effort Frank put into this place. White subway tiles with an antique bathtub and a forest rain type shower just like a scene from a movie in the beginning of the century in Paris.
Yeap!!!! What i didn't like is the fact I didn't stay there longer....
- Isabella (10/5): stayed two nights before heading to university of Toronto for registration. strongly recommended - location is great, only few mins walk to the subway; the room is cozy and has everything I need. the host is easy to communicate and very generous to provide assistance when I approached him. N/A
- Ian (8/5): Very good -
- Abrorbek (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julie (9/5): I highly recommend to anyone visiting Toronto to consider this accommodation! - The house was lovely, perfect location, very comfortable bedroom. I went to Toronto on my own and it was my first visit in Canada. We had extreme weather ( -12 celsius ) but the house was very warm. The host is super helpful and allowed me for late checkout due to weather conditions. A real pleasure ! nothing!
