Nice breakfast. Very helpful host who printed an important document that I needed. Room layout was rather strange. You enter the room through the bathroom.

• Ronald (7/5): Did not live up to our expectations or internet ratings. - House was very impressive on the outside. Garden and yard were beautiful. Room was very dusty and had lots of cobwebs. The window mounted air conditioner could be better sound and temperature insulated around its perimeter. Toilet paper was extremely thin.

The home is magnificent- decorated lovely, but also very comfortable. We would definitely recommend this BandB, and hope to stay here again. It’s very close to the airport- just 10 minutes- which was perfect as we flew out the next day.

Zimmer und Bad waren sehr angenehm, aber auch etwas überdekoriert. Sehr gutes bequemes Bett. Schöne Terasse und Wintergarten, wo man sich überall aufhalten kann. Die Besitzer / Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt ein gutes Frühstück. Gutes Restaurant fussläufig in der Nähe. Für uns war die Nähe zur Wohnmobilstation super !! Das ganze Gebäude samt des Zimmers müsste etwas durchgelüftet werden, es roch etwas muffig. Das man am Eingang die Schuhe ausziehen und deponieren muss, ist für mich etwas befremdlich.

We were disappointed with the cost of the shuttle service to the airport used with the other couple with us. Had we known in advance, we could have taken them using the rental car we had.

• Fiona (6/5): We were disappointed for the experience. - The staff was rude when we were checking in. Without even greeting us when he first saw us, he simple asked me taking off my shoes. There was no noticeable sign posted to ask guests taking off their shoes before entering g into the guest house. Besides, he was just talking to a couple inside the house with their shoes on. We continued standing by the entrance door and he asked me again taking off our shoes. He kept asking us to bring in our luggage while I kept asking him to first show us our room. I also asked to complete our checking in by paying for our stay. He said we could do it later or tomorrow morning. I insisted to pay him now as we were leaving early morning. Breakfast won’t start until 8am. So we missed it. He packed us a yogurt and mini treat to go. Also, The sink in our bathroom was plugged.
• Mark (10/5): A great example of what can be done! - We are professional selfcatering holiday accommodation owners ourselves. A pleasure to stay somewhere where the job is done so well. Both house and garden reflect the owners dedication to ensuring the guest stay is perfect. Great breakfast. Do not hesitate if you are thinking of staying here, just do. Great cafe short walk up the hill and decent family seafood place just down the road. Leaving.

However the surroundings are very industrial and busy noisy main roads filled with trucks and traffic. Bonus is very close to the airport which is why I booked it. Breakfast disappointing for me-there was no cereal, and as I don’t eat bacon and eggs, only toast and jam so not great. Friendly owner who was welcoming and helpful. Breakfast.
• Lisette (10/5): Exceptional historic property - Such an exceptional historic property to stay in! It was very surprising to find this beautiful home so close to the airport. The owners and staff put their hearts and souls into it. We’ve never come across a b&b with so much care for the interiors, the breakfast in the formal dining room and the immaculate grounds. The flowers in the garden are exquisite, as beautiful as an English country garden, with huge Solomon ‘s seal, Hostas and Irises. How much work this all must be. We dined a short walk away at Rob Bitar’s restaurant on recommendation of the host, it was great! Many, many thanks for your hospitality.

The house and extensive grounds are beautiful and lovingly maintained. The sitting room was charming and breakfast table elegant. The room was comfortable though small. A better sign and emailed directions to show how to access the fairly hidden road that goes to the property would be helpful. Better toilet paper, it was so thin you could almost see through it. Having to take off shoes, for me my clean, rubber soled sandals, was not very welcoming. With foot issues, it is not very comfortable not to wear shoes.

But I doubt that can be helped all too much. The room could have been cleaner (dust, spiders, etc). The bathroom was exceptionally clean.

Where as the garden, set in 8 acres, are beautifully kept with manicured lawns and interesting wooded areas. The breakfast was great, in keeping with the whole experience. Would definitely recommend and we will go back again. Absolutely nothing to not like.
