Guest Reviews
- Thomas (10/5): Our stay has been wonderful and memorable in Freo - I'd book the property again, without doubt. - Convenient location, heritage building, verandah setup, abundant spaces and facilities There's absolutely nothing I didn't like about the property.
- George (9/5): - The only thing I would like to have been improved was the water pressure in the shower, and that is such a small issue it barely even counts.
- Suzanne (10/5): This was a wonderful place for our family to stay with loads of character and absolutely immaculate. Fantastic kitchen f - The property was immaculate, with exceptional facilities and loads of character. It was very special to stay in this beautifully renovated original historical Fremantle home. It was also great to be in walking distance to the restaurants. Very well appointed kitchen and loved the herb garden, outdoor bath and swing. The mattresses and pillows could do with an upgrade. Privacy screen or blind for outdoor bath would be helpful.

- Tina (10/5): Fabulous - From the moment we walked it we felt instantly pleased. The house was clean, and very well equipped. It had everything we needed. The location was great for what we needed and enough space for all of us to enjoy and relax. Communication with the owners was excellent and quick. We will definitely recommend and stay again when we are in Fremantle.
- Doug (10/5): Really enjoyed Our Fremantle stay and we definitely were ‘all decked out’ at our stay.. - Well equipped, great feel , very clean
- Straya 4 (10/5): Free in Fremantle - This house is one of those rare and beautiful houses that were built in an era post-World War 1. The house itself was clean, and provided a well-equipped kitchen, the washing machine and dryer are a bonus and overall, it was very comfortable. Location wise it’s in close proximity to the Fremantle Markets located on South Terrace, about a 20 – 25 min walk. A few more minutes to get to the Wharf where the Rottnest Express ferry leaves from the B shed departs from for Rottnest Island and returns to is located. It’s just a short walk to the Wray Hotel and Piscari provides the best fish n chips is just around the corner. There are supermarkets and a pharmacy just 15 mins walk along Hampton Road. A little further along Aldi and Woolworths can be found but honestly check out Peaches and the IGA - OMG - talk about specialty shopping and of course Michael and Amanda were also very informative about providing information about accessing the property. There wasn't anything not to like.
- John (10/5): Highly recommended and if we’re back will stay there again. - Tremendous place with lots of charm and character. Well kitted out with everything you need to be comfortable. Very little to complain about. It’s slightly further out of Freo centre but nothing a bike ride can’t sort
- Jeanette (10/5): -
- Greta (8/5): First time to Freemantle - Character of the house, location and offered what is required when away from home Nothing
- Linda (9/5): Superb -
- Han (10/5): Wish to stay in the same place if coming back to Fremantle - Absolute the best experience among all accommodations in our first WA trip. Every nice place in a beautiful house with history and modern facilities. Quite comfortable staying in. The kid really liked a place with yard & had a lot of fun.
- Michellina (10/5): Fabulous place to stay for a week - Great location to shops, beach Nothing, all was fabulous
- Catherine (10/5): Charm, History, Ambience & Location - From the minute we entered the property, we were impressed.
The charm, history, ambience & location ticked all our boxes. The beautiful house was clean, decked out well, comfortable, and perfect for what we wanted.
Close to Fremantle, we were able to walk to the pub or drive after a big day out with no issues.
Close to the Rottnest Island ferry at Victoria Quay, the shed markets, South Terrace for dinner, we loved it!
- Dan (10/5): Fantastic stay in this early 1900s home - Very spacious, close to local shops, cafes and restaurants. A beautiful old house with modern features Nothing
- Elizabeth (9/5): Fantastic weekend - Loved the house and gardens. very well presented nothing
- Harding (10/5): Relaxed and comfortable stay, close to everything and only a twenty minute walk to the main section of Fremantle. - Like the name implied it had everything you need for a great stay, be it with family or friends. Perfect Nothing, it was great
- Ke (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jenna (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anne (10/5): Lovely older home in a great location - Location was within easy walk to the water front restaurants and beach.
The house was lovely with a large bathroom and well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. South Street is quite busy but not a big problem
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Anthonyb (9/5): Cute and functional - Cute as a button and very functional. Nothing
- Wendy (9/5): Superb - Amazing location and beautiful old world home and gardens mixed with modern bathroom. The beds were comfortable and it easily slept the 5 of us. The kitchen was lovely and quickly became the hub for us to all gather. I had a small issue with not being able to open the windows in the main bedroom as I love a cross breeze but they were locked so I found it a bit hot. The complimentary toiletries provided were significantly insufficient.1 small hotel sized tube of each item is not enough to serve 5 people. I think better to not supply any rather than one tube for 5 people. We had to run out to buy toiletries straight away. 2 of the bedrooms were so spacious it would be easy to have a king size bed in one or both. Not really an issue but simply a suggestion.
- Chloe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Croxford (9/5): Great house with loads of character - Great house with loads of character. We were very comfortable there for 6 days with 5 adults and two toddlers. Fremantle is a great location. Easy walk to Cappuccino Strip / Fremantle Markets for adults but too far for the toddlers.
The driveway is terribly narrow for a people mover (Kia carnival). It is possible but every time I was worried we'd scratch the car.
- Yiping (9/5): Good to relax - Spacious and prompt response to any enquires.
- Louis (9/5): This stay made us relax just like being at home. - Loved everything this old colonial home had to offer with modern ammenities. Something that hotels can not do. Scary narrow driveway had the RAV4’s close proximity alarm buzzing the whole way in and out. Personally didn’t really bother me because I was forewarned, just my passengers were somewhat alarmed.
- Katrina (10/5): stunning heritage listed home , large and spacious kitchen, bedroom and lounge. Great location - Loved the layout of the property amble room for all. Was a bonus to have the fireplace and a Wii gaming console.
