A lot of restaurant within walking distant. The gym was amazing. The view from the room. The shower pressure and how quickly it became hot. For the amount we paid wish there was complimentary coffee. I was surprise we had to pay for that and the snacks. I made sure to go to the grocery store. Additional toilet paper instead of just two for each bathroom.

Bobbie (1/5): Avoid at all costs! There are much better properties around. - Nothing at all. our jacuzzi was broken everytime we wanted to use it. 5x times in total. The balcony door of the smaller bedroom did not seal properly and it let every sound from the outside through loud and clear. With a construction site right next to the building, which meant you would be woken up loud and clear by the contruction from 6:30 am every morning. The room was extremely dirty, walking around with socks or bare feet meant you had completely black feet after stepping around for just a few steps. The property was shoddy, nothing lined up, all seemed to be put together by a child. Cards having to be reset multiple times at the reception. Sound system that was installed was broken. The shower and toilet were cheaply made plastics. Chewing gum stuck in the carpet. Unbelievable. I can sadly only add 4 photos, but the door handle photo should tell you enough, about how the rest of the place was put together.
Bobbie (1/5): Don‘t book here. - Absolutely nothing! It was dirty, the place was put together without any care. A lot of stuff just broken or didn‘t work at all. And the best of all, they misled us with the pictures advertisement pictures! The construction was not showm on the ads, they were already pretty old and not true to reality! If you like to reside directly next to a construction site, be their guest! This construction site will surely remain for 1-2 years. Unbelievable bad!
Sierra (10/5): Beautiful hotel apartment style accommodation. - The room was exceptional! Far exceeded our expectations and the jacuzzi on the patio was an added bonus!! I didn’t like that there were no exhaust fans in the bathrooms, only vents to the outside hallways/corridor which meant it could get quite noisy at times (though this was solved by closing bathroom doors at night!). Also don’t use the washer dryer - it took 10yrs to dry our clothes and most were still damp!!

Fufu (2/5): Poor value for a lot of money, badly maintained apartment../ - very well located in the heart of Poblado. The downstairs restaurants offer fantastic and high quality dishes. The service of the staff improved a lot since our last visit about a year ago Especially in respect of the high pricing of the property the quality and size of the apartment is very poor and it needs urgent maintenance. It once was a great property but after 10+ years it's glamour is completely gone; Just look at the pictures! The most disgusting is the dirty bed frame, full of body grease and dirt! The second was the smelly Jacuzzi water. The staff seem to just change the water but are not cleaning the hoses and filter system with adequate cleaner and disinfectant. The cover is completely deteriorated.. Plastic floor tiles are bending up. The hand wash basins are full of non removable discoloration and stains. Paint is chipping of appliances and walls. Terrace furniture is full of dirt and stains. Apt 315 is located right above the gym and dance studios. So you hear constantly bumping weights and loud blasting music so that we often needed to close the windows to be able to talk. No privacy in jacuzzy as there is a public hallway next to the terrace without privacy screen.

SANTIAGO (1/5): La peor experiencia en Medellin. 2 dias sin luz ni agua en Wake - Nada! No repetiría! Nuestra estancia fue una tortura durante 2 de los 3 días que estuvimos en Wake Estuvimos 3 días en Medellin alojándonos en Wake y dos días no tuvieron agua ni luz. No podíamos ducharnos, ir al baño, cargar el teléfono, teletrabajar etc etc un horror! La gestión del equipo del wake ha sido nefasta, cero proactivos y el ultimo dia nos mandaron a duchar a otro hotel. Al hacer el check out pedimos una compensación, que nos dijeron que ok pero que debería ser a través de booking. Ahora se niegan porque su compensación fue ducharnos en otro hotel de la cadena. Una estancia de 600€ en la que dos días no funcionaban los servicios básicos de agua y luz. Una verdadera pesadilla!!!

Neo (9/5): Excellent stay in a perfect area. - The location is excellent. Easy walking distance to shops, restaurants, bars and clubs but still a little secluded. Quality of the apartment was super - large terrace with jacuzzi and spotless. Glamorous and top level restaurants on the ground floor and across the road. This property is serviced apartments, not a hotel. The staff are very friendly and efficient but not particularly hospitality oriented. The area is lively and vibrant so expect a little bit of music and noise, not that this was a problem for us.

Good location, lacking customer care - Clean, modern, rooms look like the photos Honest review: The rooms are amazing, look just like the photos online, everything you could need in the room. Check in was fine, the girl on the desk was very helpful, friendly and bilingual. As soon as I checked it i wanted to stay longer. This is when the issues began. I requested and extra night. The hotel had one apartment, the same as mine available but they would have to move my room. I didn’t quite understand that. Surly adjustments could have been made to keep me in the same room. Due to this I decided I’d just check out when i had intended to. Out of curiosity I checked online and the hotel had quoted me a higher price than what was showing online via a 3rd party company. The hotel has strict rules on visitors, which I understand. They wouldn’t want people coming and going or creating bad press for the hotel, But if the person you are adding as a guest isn’t present with you on check in you can’t add them later unless you provide 24 hours notice. Later that day my friend joined me. I had to book and pay for a whole extra room for that night just for my guest to stay. The next morning I was what’s apped by front desk about the check out policy and a list of extortionate rates for late check out. I had to go down and check out of the unused room to avoid these charges. Room servicing: my shower gel was close to empty on check in. I thought no problem surly housekeeping will change that the next day. It turns out your room only gets cleaned and amenities refilled every 4th day unless you pay a 25usd charge. So during my 3 night stay there was no refill of shower gel (which was close to empty on check in) coffee, water, towels, toilet paper etc. iv traveled a lot and stayed in a lot of hotels, every other day is the most Iv experienced hotels to service rooms at a minimum. I ordered a take out one evening to enjoy in the room, with my friend.
Harriet (9/5): Stunning apartment in a perfect location to explore Medellín - The apartment was absolutely stunning and exceeded our expectations - it was sheer comfort and luxury. The pool/gym area was also beautiful and well maintained. Location is in a nice part of El Poblado which felt safe to walk around in the evening (although we were never out later than 10pm). You are able to communicate with reception via WhatsApp and ask questions about the accommodation and Medellin in general which was really helpful. Overall we loved staying here and would do so again if we returned to Medellin without question. The music on at the gym/pool area was far too loud and too heavy/party music. We really wanted to use this space as a place to chill out from the craziness of Medellin, but the music was not relaxing and didn't allow us to do that. We were also not notified proactively of issues in the building. The water went off one afternoon due to an issue not specific Wake, but no one told us until I WhatsApp'ed and asked what was happening. There were also no towels in the apartment to use in the kitchen which made washing up awkward. Kitchen paper was provided but that is not convenient.

Ajita (3/5): I honestly can't recommend it. Not worth it for the price. COLD WATER!!!!! - The location of the property was great. It was a spacious apartment with a great view. But that doesn't really matter when the essentials of the property are lacking (hot water) and the host does little to help (see below). Throughout our four day stay, we had very inconsistent hot water. The hot water would run for a few minutes and then turn ice cold. So, in the middle of your shower, when you are all soapy, the water changes from hot to ice cold. And this happened the ENTIRE time we stayed and to each of us (four people staying) in EACH shower. When we complained, the superhost said he would send maintanence to check the water (he would send them when we were out sightseeing) and then would insist that the water was working. We would return home to take a shower only to find that the problem was still there!! This happened for FOUR days!! We were able to overlap with the maintenance staff one time and they witnessed the water temperature changing from hot to cold. After this, the superhost still told us the issue had been fixed. It had not been fixed - these issues persisted during our ENTIRE stay. Coming home to a hot shower is a BASIC necessity on a stay, especially when you are paying luxury prices. The worst part wasn't even the water. It was that the superhost did very little to help us, and consistently told us that the water was working fine. It felt like we were being gaslit the whole vacation. On top of that, we spent countless hours during our trip trying to work out our issue - which truly put a damper on the vacation. Finally, you would think the host would offer a partial refund or something the make up for this experience. The best he could do was offer us a late check out (we already had a flight booked out so we didn't need a late check out) or a ride to the airport. Are you kidding me?? Super disappointed. This property cannot justify a luxury cost when they provide a shitty experience.
Rina (8/5): Great location, services and staff - The staff was nice, the location, restaurants and access to transportation was great and the amenities were really good. Great value. It takes a while to get service if something is not working in your room, since the maintenance personnel not available 24/7. There was no TV in the second room.

Santiago (8/5): Good place with very complex and useless processes that affect the customer experience. - 1. Good location. 2. The Nespresso machine was not working and that problem was solved, though the fist answer from the lobby was: "there's no one here to serve you". Finally they did. Service at the lobby was very slow. When I arrived and though I did the online checkin, 3 people sitting and watching (really, not doing anything) took a lot of time to check me in. And worts of all, the checkout time was absurd and the checkout process without explanation: though I "confessed" to have eaten something from the minibar, they sent a lady to check the veracity of my affirmation. Took 20 minutes. After that (even worse) they didn't have a process to charge me the eaten chips: 10 minutes more for paying 5USD. Finally: they have a complex process to pay breakfast first and then be served. Again: complex, useless and delays everything.

Greg (1/5): Disappointing and Untrustworthy Experience at WAKE Residence - We stayed at WAKE Residence in Medellín, expecting a pleasant stay. Unfortunately, we encountered a distressing situation that left us deeply disappointed. On the morning of our check-out, my girlfriend realized she had accidentally left her prescription frameless glasses on the bathroom countertop. When she immediately returned to retrieve them, the cleaning staff were already inside, and the glasses were missing. Despite reporting the issue immediately to both the cleaning crew and the front desk, and later conducting a thorough search of our belongings, the glasses were never found. We gave WAKE the benefit of the doubt and provided them additional time, even offering them the chance to reimburse the cost of the stolen item. However, they completely refused responsibility, despite our efforts to resolve the situation amicably. We also brought the Medellín police to investigate the matter, but the results were inconclusive. The refusal of WAKE Residence to take any responsibility or offer a fair solution is truly frustrating. It's deeply concerning that such an important and expensive personal item could vanish, with no accountability on their part. We expected much more from a place with such a good reputation, but sadly, this experience has shown a lack of professionalism and care for their guests' belongings. I cannot recommend WAKE Residence to anyone looking for a trustworthy and safe stay.
Teva (10/5): Exceptional - First of all, the service is pleasant. They welcomed us very nicely from the first moment and took care of everything we needed. The design of the place is modern, pleasant and clean. For us as a family it was a great place. We were pampered in the room with the jacuzzi. The kids loved being in the pool upstairs. The gym is good. The restaurants below are excellent. From a restaurant for indulgent breakfasts to restaurants for dinners in a cool and young atmosphere. There is no room service.

Daniel (10/5): We will be back. Perfect luxurious but action pack stay. - Perfect location. Was like a resort but with the comfort of a home. The jacuzzi on the patio I’ll never forget. They took such great care of us, and is a no brainer the Wake is where we will always stay when we go back. The friendly staff, amazing views, quality of the condos, common areas such as the gym and pool. All of the restaurants were AMAZING!
