Guest Reviews
- Trevor (7/5): -
- David (8/5): Tiny home in rural bush setting - It is located in a bush setting, close to the sea shore and has plenty of bird and animal life all around. Did not know the property was accessed via 6 klms of unsealed road.
- Lawrence (8/5): Peaceful setting - Lovely host, beautiful setting, nice house Nothing
- Fiona (10/5): Watch out for the two little potoroo’s…Very mischievous. - Banyula is tucked away in a beautiful part of Bruny Island. The perfect place to get away if your looking for peace and quiet and to recharge. Grev is a great host and will make sure you have everything you need. Still trying to think of something…
- Andrew (9/5): Loved it. - Location, the bush setting and great host. Few more kitchen items.
- Glenda (9/5): Superb - Secluded little home away from home. Beautiful views. Kitchen essentials included.
- Sainty (8/5): Very good - Self contained. Within a bush setting. Nice waterfront nearby. Nice host. Good ventilation via the many screened windows in the tiny home. Bed was comfortable. Lovely bird song each morning. Long stretch of gravel road to get there, steep driveway (manageable in a 2 wd - our old Camry coped okay). Fair distance from Alonnah and Adventure Bay, main service areas on the island. Possibly expected more comfort for the price - ie better tea/coffee & toiletries (pretty basic). Good for us, as little people, but basketballers and sumo wrestlers would certainly struggle with accessing the loft bedroom.
- Hanneke (10/5): Exceptional - Location, surroundings Nothing really, could have been some more kitchen stuff, like a salad bowl, extra pan
- Jennam3 (10/5): Wonderful tiny home in an excellent location -
- Patricia (8/5): A lovely getaway in a tranquil location - A beautiful relaxing bush location with a view of the water, and a short stroll to the bay. The tiny home was very clean and had basic tea, coffee, bottled water and cooking options. Grev was a friendly and welcoming host. We enjoyed the fire pit, sitting outside and listening and watching for the wildlife. We think it is worthwhile mentioning in the property description that the bed is loft-style requiring use of fairly steep stairs, and does not allow for standing room (it would not be suitable for everyone).
Two minor details: pillows all need replacing; and the bathroom lighting was not working.
- Louisa (8/5): Very good - Tranquil location with everything needed for a great escape and exploring the island. Nothing
- Fiona (8/5): If you don’t want a secluded getaway, peace and quiet, roaming wildlife, see all the stars in the night sky, and a very -
- Ian (9/5): Very enjoyable, relaxing and peaceful. Wonderful private beach. - Location excellent, facilities good, we were left alone to enjoy location. Great outside BBQ. Great 2 days. Pillows left a lot to be desired. Some lighting failed but didn't cause a problem.
- Rory (8/5): Great spot for some peace and quiet! - Greville is an excellent host who gave us some great spots to check out whilst on Bruny. The area is very peaceful and we loved watching the splendid wrens jumping around out the front of the door.
- Van (10/5): Exceptional - The quiet, peaceful nature retreat location. The ability to harvest our own oysters and mussels from the bay right at our doorstep.
- Linda (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anna (6/5): Friendly owner but far away from the main attractions on a gravel road - Grev was very friendly but the main house was very close to the tiny house. The space was clean and 100m to walk to a nice water view. There was a long gravel road to get to the property ~25 minute drive which made trips our feel far away and wasn’t ideal in a rental car. Also the main house was very close to the tiny house.
- Andrew (8/5): Very good - Grev was a great host , excellent quiet location
- Merlyn (9/5): Great tiny house in a beautiful natural location. - Great location. Short walk to rocky foreshore. Lots of wildlife. Very scenic. Comfortable bed. Fire pit . Had everything we needed for a short stay. The host Grev was very helpful! Bit worrying when the little house’s sump pump took a while to do its job, but a minor concern.
- Tina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ward (5/5): Passable -
- Cardillo (10/5): Exceptional - The location on the Bay was fabulous...
- Greg (10/5): We loved our tiny house experience. Lovely setting with wildlife at your doorstep. - Loved the tiny house experience. Well decorated & very clean & comfortable. Beautiful setting with wildlife literally at your doorstep. Very quiet location with your own little beach. We could have stayed longer! The cooking facilities were a little bit limited & lacked the additional things like cooking oil. Since eating out isn't really an option in that area, you rely on providing your own meals so need to provide everything. The deck could be a bit bigger. It's a lovely place to sit but really wasn't enough space for 2 chairs.
- Rochelle (10/5): Relaxing and picturesque setting - Picturesque setting. Great place for a coastal walk and to relax and watch the wildlife.
Private and convenient to all attractions.
Grev was the perfect host.
- Leon (2/5): Very cramped, uncomfortable for older people to sleep and NO TV too expensive for what it is! - The property was quiet, close to water and clean. The property is far too small for adults, the only way to enter the bedroom is to crawl upstairs, crawling room only upstairs and had to get down by sliding down on our backside! Ideal for midgets or small children!2 Tea Bags, 4 sticks of sugar, No milk and more importantly NO TV!
- Mona (10/5): Best tiny house! - This was one of my favorite stays in Tasmania! The property is on a beautiful, quiet bay with excellent views. The house is well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay! The owner is a lovely man.
- Brittany (9/5): Great place, would recommend especially for a get away from the main busier areas of Bruny! - Lovely tiny house off the beaten track! Dusty the dog was also great, and getting down to the water was an easy walk away.
- Jacqui (7/5): Good - It was private and quiet, we found it comfortable and relaxing. It was a clean and tidy little house. Didn't really find anything that we didn't like about this tiny house
- Taylor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Keith (9/5): Tiny but beautifully situated - Great location right on the water. The weather let us down but the host worked hard to make our stay enjoyable. This is a tiny home so things are a bit squeezy but the amenities are all there.
- A-ben (8/5): Very good - Greville is kind and his dog is really cute!!!!!!
It's a lovely and comfortable cabin. too small for three people
