- Emanuel (10/5): - Location, staff, ambiance, cleanliness, peacefulness and friendly wallabies around Not an issue, but the extra cost of ferry and parking. However, there are free parking options and the ferry ride is beautiful.

- Simon (9/5): Delightful location , very peaceful . Good to have kayaking available. - Stunning location , good showers / toilets and a very well equipped kitchen . GAS BBQ is a bonus . More written info about local walks would have been good . Also updated info re local matters eg the beach is inaccessible at the moment due to fallen trees , but no mention of this . In the kitchen it would be helpful if it was clearly indicated which foods are available for everyone to use . The canoes could do with back slings ( supports ) which would make them a lot more comfortable.
- jane (7/5): I would recommend this YHA 4 young fit people - wear proper walking shoes not thongs or sandals . - we took our own breakfast.Beautiful location and view of Pittwater. Very peaceful and quiet. accurate description of steep walking track from jetty at Halls Wharf to Hostel.
It takes a young fit person 15 minutes but it took us 80 year olds 35 minutes and was steeper than I had anticipated. But we made it and were relieved. Tudor and Temily carried our luggage in a buggy which helped a lot.

- Andrew (1/5): Disappointed. Ruined my weekend due to access - Couldn’t access property so cannot provide positive experiences. The Booking.com posting is deceiving. They need to modify the property address to include *Ferry Access Only*.
- Miranda (8/5): Amazing eco hostel only accessible by boat! - I loved the building and amenities. The fire pit was awesome, and the wildlife and surrounding environment. Extremely beautiful sunrise and view. Lovely walk down to the ferry in the morning. I didn't know that I couldn't drive to the location. Google Maps showed me that it was possible, but I got stuck at the gate in the national park and had to catch a water taxi. More prominent information about this would have been great. Also, I didn't know it was a 15 min walk uphill on a dirt track. I navigated this in the dark.
- Pratik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Dani (8/5): Fabulous getaway close to Sydney - Awesome location, friendly staff. Noisy guests but with a full house over the long weekend there's bound to be one. Second night was blissfully quiet.
- Efren (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful and special property, need a ferry to reach it. Spectacular surroundings, pity it was raining quite a lot and we didn't have the chance, but need to go back again. Staff gave me good tips where to park the car and how to reach the hostel. Super friendly staff and unforgable As it was raining quite a lot, i felt it was a bit cold in the room. Maybe some heater would have been nice, also to dry socks, etc. Im sure in summer this place is (even more) amazing.
- Carla (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful location, clean and tidy. Nice and quiet Nothing, it was great
- Brian (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (8/5): Great isolate escape for the budget traveller - If you want a cheap escape in an unusual location this may be for you. You will need to enjoy other peoples company and also kayaking and bushwalking. Fairly small and groups a little on op of each other. Managers could have been a little more engaged, but were friendly.

The hostel is nicely set up with a large kitchen, games room, deck overlooking the bay, and a fire pit for roasting marshmallows at night. It was so tranquil waking up to birdsong in the morning and spotting wallabies in the field. The coffee and kayak rental was excellent as well. Hoping to revisit in the warmer months!

However, an immediate action by the manager :)
- James (10/5): Exceptional - Liked it, great lizards and paddle board
- Yvette (10/5): Exceptional - Such a beautiful spot!! Highly recommend.
- Katy (10/5): A YHA with a difference in the most stunning location - The location as the only operating hotel on the peninsula is amazing. Great value for money. The managers Katie and Bergia were so welcoming and helpful, giving advice on walks and bringing up coffee in the morning :) I felt so at home here. The kitchen is large and well-supplied, and the lounge area is really cozy with a huge fireplace. I did some fantastic walks around the national park from the YHA and I highly recommend the ferry from Palm Beach to the top of the peninsula too. *Note that you can only get here by ferry so come before dark!* Nothing
