- Katrin (10/5): Super, sollte jeder mal ausprobieren.

- Katherina (10/5): Excellent place, slightly outside the tourist crowds. - Absolutely everything was great. Didn’t expect we can get so much space and facilities on a boat. We liked everything, but you might keep in mind that it is a boat indeed, which means it may move a little bit.
- Rosemary (10/5): this is not just a place to sleep, it's a whole experience. - I spent a week travelling through France and Belgium through various cities, and this accommodation was the highlight of my holiday in terms of character and a good night's sleep. It's little details, like looking out of the porthole window in the main bedroom, and discovering a tiny miniature boat figure (purely for decorative purposes), or the sailor knot examples with QR codes next to each one so you could find out more about them. I loved having access to all the speciality teas, a teapot (it is SO annoying in many hotels to have small cups which you constantly have to refill), and the kettle was even filled for me on arrival ready to be used. The double bed mattress was comfortable and I was grateful for the extra quilt option when I went to sleep. A good location (very quiet) within walking distance of lots to see and enjoy in Ghent. I was able to visit several museums easily without needing to get a bus. not really a dislike (as it can't be helped on a boat). The ceiling height for those who are tall (I am 1.76) is very close in some places to your head so bear this in mind if you are 6 foot plus. It's part of the charm of the boat though.

- Danmcd (9/5): Lovely stay with friendly host - Place was fab! Spacious, clean and so quirky! Really lovely place and host was very welcoming N/A

- Karin (8/5): - It was a unique opportunity to stay in a boat! There was a lot of space (2 bedrooms, and also a bathtub). It's located in a non-touristy, authentic and quiet area of Ghent, which is about 30 min walking distance away from the train station and the city centre. Some areas of the rooms smelled of ammonia. Also, due to the nature of this property, there were some spiders and moths.

- Merrill (9/5): Great!😊 - It was lovely to stay on a boat. Breakfast was fantastic and Bart was very helpful. (Hope your ankle is okay!). A bit out of town but there is a tram stop close by and it was rather nice to enjoy the peace and lovely cat 🐱 x Nothing
- Piotr (8/5): - This hotel is definitely unlike any other. An old barge converted into a hotel is a real treat; the stay and the location are well worth the price.
A very nice and friendly host. The bathrooms and kitchen are well-equipped. The kitchen has everything you need, including a generous supply of coffee, tea, and sugar (a big plus). The bathroom has a wide selection of toiletries. Another plus is the parking space in the underground garage across from the boat (about a 5-minute walk). Overall, the place has a few drawbacks, but it also has a wonderful soul. The Wi-Fi could definitely be better. In the last large bedroom with a TV, the signal was problematic; the internet often didn't work at all, or devices often lost signal. Mosquito nets in the portholes would be useful, as spiders and mosquitoes are a constant source of intrusion. There are a lot of cobwebs in the corners of the rooms.
- Gaston (9/5): -
- Silvia (10/5): - Soggiorno magnifico e molto rilassante. Ambiente unico e ricco di dettagli divertenti. Consigliatissimo

- Alexander (10/5): A Unique and Rewarding Stay - The host, Bart, was an awesome guy: super helpful, friendly, and accommodating. The place itself was really unique and cool, and a ton of care clearly went into it. It's a little bit out of the way, but transit is pretty good in Gent.
- David (8/5): Boat, Breakfast, chickens and kitten. - Ambient atmosphere, lovely welcome by Bart and his friends and brand new kitten!
Quirky and well equipped facility .
Bart, our host was very kind, thoughtful and helpful at all times.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Couples visit to Gent - Unique to stay on houseboat for couple of nights. More spacious than at first glance
Great to have shower room and separate bathroom.
Fabulous breakfast produced by Bart and his hens and one day weather cooperated and we had breakfast and evening drinks sitting on deck.
About 25 mins walk to edge of city centre along canal.
Parking a couple of minutes away with clear instructions Would be nice to have comfortable inside seating for inclement days
- Dave (7/5): Good - The boat was fine, decent facilities on baord. The host was nice. Not a criticism as I expected it, but , as it was a boat, there wasn't a huge amount of room on board, so better for short breaks than for long ones, I guess.
- Veronika (10/5): Thanks a lot for wonderful experience! - Amazing atmosphere!!! Everything is thought out to the smallest detail! All our family really enjoyed in this place - comfortable but so unusual! Wonderful experience! Funny chickens and rooster 😊 Nothing to mention
- Churairat (10/5): Good experience - Breakfast very good, but a bit cold at night.
- Thierry (9/5): Superb - Host was great and breakfast was lovely. Even prepared a "to go" breakfast for my early wake up at 5am. Thank you
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sophie (9/5): Really great place to stay in Ghent - Really novel experience to stay on a houseboat. It was very comfortable and our son LOVED the toys!!
- Hope (9/5): My family enjoyed, especially the little one - couldn’t get enough of the toys - Super cool & unique themed accomodation Bit of walk to center (more than 30 minutes) but we were lucky with the weather so we didn’t mind. But others might so worth mentioning
- Alexander (10/5): Exceptional - More comfortable and cozy and warm that I would expect from a boat. I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Ghent, especially with a child (lot of toys).
- Camilla (7/5): Interesting and worthwhile location - Quirky, attractive. Good to have a kitchenette. Helpful owner. I wasn’t feeling well so was able to eat on board Parking was secure but a bit of a faff. Some way to shops or restaurants
- Attila (10/5): Wanna be a pirate captain? - Nice atmosphere, good location, comfy bed and a kind host. A slipper would have been nice.
- Benoit (9/5): Superb -
- Mila (10/5): Great way to experience life on Ghent's canals - The accommodation was very nice, well organized so it makes you feel at home. It is cozy and comfortable. The host is very welcoming, It is a 20-min walk to the center but the area is very calm and secure, the experience of sleeping on the boat is lovely.
- Jeremy_111 (8/5): Loved our stay - This was a bit of a treat for us. The idea of staying on a boat was hard to pass up. We loved our stay. Bart, our host, looked after us very well. The accommodations are surprisingly spacious for a canal boat - ample for us as a couple, with rooms to spare if you have children. Bathrooms (yes plural) were great. Breakfast was really laid on, more than we could eat and there's basic refreshments in the kitchen with a very reasonably priced mini-bar in the fridge. Breakfast on the deck if the weather permits. Bed was super comfortable and the area was quiet. Walk of about 30 mins into town or tram stop only 500m away. Being a boat, the accommodations are quite special, so it might not be ideally suited for everyone. There are low ceilings and it is generally dark inside as the portholes don't let in a lot of light. Perhaps reconsider if planning a long stay. No parking provided on site. None of the above were an issue for us.
- Alexandra (8/5): Very good - Kind hosts, enough space. A lot of playmobil for the kids to play. A nice bath and shower. Another table for the kitchen would have been nice. Also a bed light for reading.
- Rui (9/5): Sleeping in a boat with the comfort of a small apartment - The experience of sleeping in a boat with the comfort of a small apartment. The boat-themed Playmobil all around the place added a nice and creative touch. It was very warm couple of days and we occasionally felt the lack of ventilation.
- Raluca (10/5): Exceptional -
- Helen (9/5): A lovely unusual holiday base - The house boat was beautifully fitted out and decorated. It made an excellent base to explore Ghent, being close to the tram and also walking distance from the train station and city centre. It was so unusual to be on the river and be able to look out of portholes & sit on deck sipping wine! The owner was quick to replace the coffeemaker when it appeared not to be working and he was very helpful with recommendations for eating locally and getting the tram. My daughter & I had a lovely weekend! It lacked a sink in the kitchen but the small bathroom is adjacent and a washing up bowl was provided so simple food & drink could be prepared.
- Quiroga (10/5): Exceptional -
- Vladislav (7/5): Good - Calm neighborhood
good hosts
spacious
two bathrooms
comfy bed The internet was working weirdly. Main social sites were working well but pages outside belgium domain has not been loaded.
Since it's a boat there are limited ways for ventilation. The air there wasn't fresh
- Carole (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abdullah (8/5): Very good - Nice boat and nice owners Nothing
- Onuralp (10/5): Exceptional - The location is very convenient, being close to Sint Pieters, not so far from the center and having access to public transportation. The host Bart is friendly and helps with food&drinks recommendations, as well as touristic places to visit. You may also scan the QR codes in your room to get some suggestions for things to do in Gent. The place is clean, the bed was comfortable and the kitchen had lots of things in case you would like some tea or coffee or eat there. I would definitely think of staying here again if I am to revisit Gent in the future.
