Guest Reviews
- Donna (2/5): - It was disappointing when we arrived to find the kitchen area was not up to standard and clean. The freezer was very iced up, the kettle was really stained , there were ants in the kitchen and tea canister. We also had concerns with the gap under the door and if something could come into the cottage.
It was however a lovely location and beds were comfy and bathroom was clean.

- Vincent (9/5): Great but the mattress needs to be replaced. - This is my second time in the cottage. The place is neat and clean. I like that it’s away from noise. The mattress was too hard and the bed spring was making noises every time I moved. It kept me awake most of the night.
- Jodie (10/5): A peaceful spot with beautiful outlook, gorgeous sunset, perfect for families travelling with a dog. - Peaceful setting, quaint cottage, friendly and helpful staff. Washing machine didn’t work.
- Jessica (10/5): Lovely getaway for our friends 30th - Lovely little place. Beautiful views and lovely pool
- Robert (8/5): super nice outlook and quite . easy assess to Byran bay . will stay there again for sure -
- Rama (8/5): Very good - Location
- Jo (6/5): A rustic, rural and quaint location just outside of Byron. - The rural location. The amazing view. The property description implied luxury. This was not the case. I would describe it as rustic, rural and quaint.
The property was very clean and mostly comfortable, however there were some things missing that would have made it better. Things like a lounge/couch area instead of a daybed/single bed in the living space, more bathroom hooks, more rugs on the floor, mirrors and art works on the walls. The loft bedroom was very bare and felt unfinished. There was a spare mattress stored on the floor, the bed squeaked a lot. The website suggested beds were extra length, they were not, my feet were hanging off the end. It would have been handy to have a manual to operate the bench top oven/hotplate. More bin liners would have been much appreciated. We had a 3hr black out and there were no candles or torches. The caretaker did arrived with some half way through which was much appreciated. The Wi-Fi is not fast or effective and only works when outside.
The owner was very responsive when I asked for items that were missing in the kitchen. The caretaker lives on site and is very friendly and accommodating, he brought over the glasses, dish towels, iron and board and cleaning sponge I requested.
All in all our stay was not unpleasant however the description of the property lead us to expect something quite different. The view is spectacular and we enjoyed all the bird life and the cattle in the paddock next door.
- Emily (10/5): Lovely relaxing stay! Hosts were very helpful and hospitable! We will definitely be staying again! A great getaway! - Lovely farmland and natural surrounds. Cabin was lovely, hosts were amazing. Can't fault the place! Not specific to the property as it's anywhere that's a similar rural stay- just to remind guests to remember to pack shoes good for mud if it's wet! (We forgot - our own fault!)
- Claudia (8/5): Gorgeous outlook and great place for a short stay - Gorgeous little cottage that has everything you need for a short stay. Very comfortable beds… The hand rail up to the loft bedroom could do with another bar across the handrail and we for four of us we could have done with some more hooks or rails for our towels.
- Lucía (9/5): Superb -
- Anonymous (10/5): Stunning cottage getaway - Was a beautiful location with a pool and bbq facilities. Great for a little getaway! The pool and bbq facilities were shared with the surrounding guest, and the bbq ignition was not working properly so we had to start it with a lighter, there was also no welcome information pack.
- Kimberley (6/5): Pleasant - Not providwd
