Guest Reviews
- Allyson (10/5): Super cute home away from home - Location and renovated feel Nothing it was all great
- Chloe (4/5): Did the job for somewhere to sleep, but certainly quite rundown. - Kitchen items were reasonably well stocked but a few knives were broken. Good location and bad spare bankets/linen. Quite a run down house with minimal repair gone into it. Has one small stained couch not really suitable for the fact the house sleeps 6, same with dining, only 4 chairs. Oddly there is also no wifi. Parking is just on street parking. The toilet seat was siliconed on and the vents in the bedroom were stuffed with rubbish?

- Shayne (7/5): Pleasant house with a few rough edges - We are ladies in our sixties who were going on a sewing weekend. We found the house comfortable enough. I don’t know when it was renovated but it can’t have been recently. The beds were comfortable enough but no top sheet only a doona. The weather was very mild on our stay so the doonas were far too hot. The shower was beautiful with lots of hot water but sadly the shower itself needs a good scrub as the tiles were filthy. The basin was blocking up when you cleaned your teeth as well. The outside light didn’t work which made it difficult at night to see the grey front steps. The grass was long and with no path to the steps be prepared to get your shoes wet. There is only one street parking and the road can be very noisy The resident behind the house was exceptionally rude and as there is no division between his property and yours his dog roams around. If you had children I would be a bit wary of letting them outside as he is a very big dog. He did seem harmless enough though. We did enjoy our stay in Goulburn.
- Melissa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tanya (3/5): Very disappointing, the real thing did not match the pictures advertised - Close to town Front door sticks
Vents in walls were left uncovered
Toilet seats were not fixed so were dangerous when you sat on them
Laundry sliding door did not slide shut so could not use the toilet in there
Floors were sticky
Dust on a lot of the surfaces
Exhaust fan above stove top was hanging down
Lounge was only a 2 seater and the house slept 6 people
Towel and toilet paper hardware were falling off and at an angle
Outside table was falling apart, couldn't sit out there as you were looking straight into the house behind so there was no privacy
Couldn't open the blinds to get out the back sliding doors as the cords were way too high and we couldn't reach them
- Madeleine (5/5): Passable - Great location close to the centre of Goulburn, just a few minutes drive to shops.
Plenty of storage available in every bedroom which would be very useful if you were staying longer, or was perfect for hanging long dresses and suits on arrival.
Kitchen was well equipped and bathroom provided all the typical necessities (towels, soaps and shower products, etc.) - heated towel rail was a nice touch. The booking information stated that the host would tell me where to find the keys prior to check in, but on the day I had not heard anything and had to text to ask after check in time. Although the host was quick to answer, I have never needed to request this before - I would usually receive the information the day before or the morning of check in, as was implied by the booking information, so we were a little worried about our booking on the drive there.
Considering the property can sleep 6 adults the rest of the amenities don't quite match up - only four chairs at the dining table, and we thought it was great at first that there was a second toilet in the laundry until we realised the laundry door (that comes straight off the kitchen) doesn't work so the toilet can't actually be used. There is also a lot of other maintenance required around the house - the toilet seat in the bathroom is not actually attached to the toilet, for example.
Also given a fairly substantial cleaning fee was charged as part of the booking, it didn't appear that any substantial cleaning had occurred prior to our stay. We actually had to clean the bathroom mirror ourselves to be able to apply makeup properly.
- Rina (3/5): Poor -
- Sheriee (7/5): Clean and tidy but not necessarily as described - Was clean and tidy A few things were broken - toilet seat and holder, laundry door, one of the window blinds and the shower head and there is a rather strange set up with the neighbours where there is a patio with chairs and a deck attached to the house but it’s part of the neighbours property and inaccessible.
We also had to call to get access to the house after getting no information from the owner and there was. A welcome note with information relating to the agreement with the neighbours which would have been helpful.
- Kylie (7/5): Good -
