Guest Reviews
- Thomas (8/5): Lovely location, and a clean and comfortable flat--needing clearer instructions. - The property is comfortable and in a great central location for walking around the city to everything we wanted to see. (We took a taxi to the Vatican Museums, but everything else was within walking distance.). We enjoyed our stay very much...and found delicious food in the nearby restaurants that are literally right outside the door. The neighborhood is charming. The flat was clean and the beds were comfortable! The Rentals-in-Rome rep kindly arranged for us to have a driver pick us up at the airport and drive us back. The flat is well-placed in what felt like a safe location. The neighborhood is charming, with many delightful restaurants and shops and a bakery right outside the door. We were very happy there after several problems were ironed out. But we had a very hard time getting into the flat, and had to call for help after hours. The agent tried to be helpful, even video chatting to see what the problem was. The problem was that the door would not unlock despite our having the code. He gave us other codes. He tried to open it remotely. Finally he had to send someone to help us--and two hours later we were finally inside. Clear instructions would have saved everyone the trouble. Or a KEY would have been great! We had to ask our rental company rep for paper towels and trash bags, and we bought more toilet paper because there was very little when we arrived. The stove was difficult to use, and there were only 3 forks in the cutlery drawer. The bathtub has a shower head, but nowhere to anchor it to the wall to use as a shower. The faucet knobs were difficult to turn. We could not figure out how to use the jets at all. Clear instructions would have made all the difference. We had to call to ask how to turn on the air conditioning--and again a rep was sent to the flat. On the positive side, the rental company folks were very responsive and helpful every time we contacted them! But things could have been so much easier if Instructions were clear in the first place (and we are two well-traveled college professors who have never had problems operating baths or a/c units or unlocking doors!). One safety issue in the flat is a metal staircase in the main bedroom that sticks out from the wall without a railing. The sharp stair steps were right at our head and eye level, so we layered a quilt around the sharp treads to keep from bumping our heads.
- alessandro (6/5): - Posizione ottima , vicino Colosseo e altare della patria Pulizia appena sufficiente, impossibilità di lasciare il bagaglio neanche mezz ora in piu dopo le 11
- Sawyer (9/5): Charming apartment with the best location - This is a large, charming apartment right in the middle of all the best parts of Rome and just a few blocks from the Colosseum. We loved the decor and the neighborhood and the convenience to so many destinations in the city. There are several excellent restaurants and cafes nearby, as well as shops and art. The living space and main bath/bedroom are very roomy and unique. There is also a private second room with a loft bed, bathroom and small outdoor balcony. We were pleased with our stay overall but found the loft bed rather small and uncomfortable, it's really only suitable for children or a single adult, but alternatively there is a couch sofa in the living room. Check-in was done remotely and you need a phone with internet access to unlock the door.

- Jessica (10/5): Great location - I love the cute apartment. It was a great location and easy to walk to many attractions. You can even see the colosseum from on of the bedroom windows I wish there were instructions on how to use the bathtub
- Robert (9/5): Very nice, definitely more than I was expecting. - Nice location. Short walk to the coliseum and other attractions. Not comfortable using the "shower" in the main bath. There's was a gap between the tub and the window seat where water could run down into an inaccessible area (maybe leak into the residence below).
Self Check-in e Check-out rapidi ed efficienti.
- Maurus (10/5): -
- Farouk (10/5): we enjoyed our stay there . - Location is amazing, few minutes from colosseum , WERONIKA was always there to help and answering the questions, the price was worth it
- Claudio (10/5): - La casa è molto grande, ha soffitti e pavimenti bellissimi!!
Si trova in una posizione veramente comoda e vicina un po' a tutto.
Molto carina la piccola camera ricavata sul soppalco.
- Candice (8/5): Very good - We loved the spacious apartment, the location for getting around Rome and the great shops and restaurants nearby. The mezzanine bed was very quiet and our young son slept really well up there. Also, during the heat, the multiple air conditioners made it a perfect place to retreat during the day to cool down and recharge for the afternoon! The *only* downside was the noise at night in the main bedroom. We are used to sleeping with some city noise, but even with ear plugs and a beautifully comfy bed it was hard to sleep soundly.
- Bibi (7/5): Good -
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant - Location was good, Beautiful Apartment Grit or cement from ceiling was falling onto bed, made the sleeping a tad uncomfortable
No drying clothes for dishes
TV did not work
Finding a working power socket was like participating in the lotto
Expected a little more quality for that price range
- Francesca (9/5): Superb - Great location, easy check in, good communication when needed. Good amount of space and facilities. The mattresses were a bit uncomfortable but still perfectly acceptable. Very noisy during the night, but that is probably very common for most hotels and apartments in Rome. Just remember to bring ear plugs.
- Dermot (5/5): Passable - The place had all the facilities expected but well below standard of a hotel
- Eric (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Comfortable, convenient, but needs some updating for the price. - We liked the location. Easy to get to places of interest. Lots of restaurants and supermarkets nearby. Lots of books! Lots of room! The couches were in bad shape/dirty. Could have used instructions on how to use tub in master bath. Could use bigger coffee pots or coffee maker and kitchen utensils were old, no dishtowels. Had to buy own toilet paper and trash bags after just a couple days. Need a better light on the stairs going out of apartment.
- Nhi (6/5): It was a comfortable stay for the short duration we were in Rome and close enough that we could walk to various places, - The area is close to food (right outside your door) and a 10 minute walk to the Colosseum. The apartment itself was clean, cool bookshelf, and has 1 queen bed (main room) and 1 full size bed situated in a loft. The apartment amenities were ok or lacking. They only provided 1 small packet of shampoo and 1 small soap bar for a 2 night stay. Although the location is close to food and attractions, it is VERY loud at night with the sound of people outside, trash collections (bottles clanging), and unfortunately woke us up frequently throughout the night. Earplugs help somewhat, but does not drown out all the outside noises.
- Nilesh (4/5): I would not stay at this apartment again even though it's in a great location and large in size. - 1. Location was excellent. Close to the Colosseum, lots of bars, restaurants and grocery stores. Old town centre is on a 15 minute walk.
2. The apartment is big.
3. Two bathrooms was useful (though bathtub/shower was not useable in one of them.
4. Soap and shampoo is provided.
5. Check-in process was very smooth because you can unlock the doors with a phone app (no need to meet a host to collect a key).
6. Host allowed us to keep our luggage in their central office after check-out. Host was very friendly and welcoming. Also provided good suggestions for transport links to the airport near the office. 1. Extreme noise. The apartment is above bars and restaurants and you can hear the noise from the customers and the workers until 2am when they close and from 6am when they reopen.
2. Sofa in the living room is filthy and needs to be disposed.
3. Kitchen units are disjointed and loose is some places. Not enough bowls or plates for a family.
4. Beds are too short. I'm average height and my feet were hanging off the end.
5. One of the beds in on a 'mezzanine' floor meaning that you must go up some stairs to get to it. However, that means the ceiling is only around 1 metre above the bed. As such you such you must crawl into the bed and remember to crawl out or else you'll bump your head in the ceiling. Duvet for that bed did not have a cover. And since you're so close to the ceiling, you can hear the toilet flush from the apartment above very clearly.
6. The only way into the apartment is via an app. While that's fine if you have a mobile phone with battery, you'll be locked out if you don't. After a day out touring Rome, you'll start having anxiety about whether your battery will last and whether you'll be able to get into your apartment. If your battery is dead you'll have no way to phone the host for assitance either.
7. Toaster and microwave are provided but their plugs don't fit into the sockets so they're useless.
