Guest Reviews
- Darrell (8/5): A great stay at Blue Mountain - Location for blue mountain visit was good and easy to find. The cabin was very clean functional. Much smaller than expected but very clean and cozy. My primary suggestion would be to turn the heat on prior to guest arrivals. It was very cold when we arrived and it took quite a while to warm up. The floor never did warm enough for bare feet.
- deb (7/5): Pleasant surroundings and quite comfortable - Clean lovely setting Hot water faulty. No breakfast goods provided. Nowhere to sit inside other than on bed.
- Julie (6/5): - Handy to everything in Leura and especially for our family who were literally 300m away in Queens Rd.
The birds in the garden and the quiet ambience were delightful.
The bed was comfortable. There was adequate storage for clothes. Access hassles with the folk in the neighbouring Banksia Cottage blocking or partially blocking the driveway.
The access from the parking area is quite steep, so it won't suit folk with heavy luggage or ambulatory issues. I don't remember reading about this in the advert, but maybe I missed it!
Cold bathroom! Needs a heater and/or warm floor covering.
Other than the bathroom sink there is nowhere to wash dishes and nowhere to drain them.
The cushions for the round cast iron outdoor chairs shown in the advert were dirty.
We had some issues with lack of hot water due to the circuit breaker tripping.the Manager was helpful, though, and we managed to tweek it.
- Maryanne Duskovic (6/5): Good for one night stay - Location was beautiful in forest surroundings and only short drive to major sightseeing and shopping centre. The owner was very responsive to calls and easy to contact. The laundry facilities with washing machine and dryer in external building was helpful. The cottage was clean. Bathroom and shower were large in size and accessible . It had good heating. The Cottage was extremely small in size, with no kitchen sink and no indoor dining facilities. Unfortunately, it rained continuously during our 3 night stay, so were unable to use the small outdoor table, chairs and BBQ on the deck. Having to use bathroom sink to fill kettle and wash dishes was very undesirable. Access to the property required going down a steep drive way and steeps, as it is located behind another mu h larger accommodation house. Unfortunately, I did not realise this at the time l booked this accommodation. I would
recommend this cottage for one night stay only.
- Sammut (10/5): - Great location. Quiet and easy to find and get to but still private/secluded. Well furnished and great facilities e.g. BBQ, kitchen basics, cleaning products, hanging space, heating & cooling, spacious bathroom. Owners were also really helpful and friendly.
- Abi (9/5): -
- Billie (5/5): - Bed comfortable, shower hot, plenty utensils. Listed as cottage but just a cabin basic kitchenette Access was horrific.
- Frank (5/5): -
- Plant (9/5): Superb -
- Martin (9/5): Nice place - Nice location Tv didn’t work properly
- Tennille (7/5): Convenient, quiet location. - Convenient location. Hot water ran out after one person showered. Pillows were not comfortable.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Nelly (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (5/5): Passable - Deck was nice. Access poor .No kitchen sink.
Outdoor furniture uncomfortable and mouldy. Bed uncomfortable mattress Lumpy.
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Elizabeth (6/5): Lovely, clean little cabin suitable for a short stay. - Location was fine, property was extremely clean and well maintained. Deck surrounded by trees was lovely. Interior is tiny, and as there is no indoor sitting area it would be helpful to have some shelter on the deck, perhaps a retractable awning.
- Ben (9/5): Fantastic cabin and would stay again - Nice spot. Perfect little cabin and great for a couple. Pillows a bit average and the hot water doesn’t last long
- Shaun (8/5): Very good -
- Mary (9/5): Overall other than the above issues it was a beautiful place. - Quiet and remote The hot didn’t last long. My husband and I don’t take long showers yet it ran out and I had to rinse my hair with cold water.
Cooking facilities are outside and due to wet weather we couldn’t use it do yo not having any cover over the top of it.
- Kerrie (8/5): Comfy and clean, close to all tourist attractions. Highly Recommend. - There are many place to go for Breakfast around Leura. I thought the cabin would have a little TV as we went when it was cold and raining, so limited to what we could do outside and nothing to do inside. Also the internet was spotty at best.
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeanette (10/5): Exceptional - Breakfast was not included. We sat on the verandah and ate the breakfast we were carrying on our trip and enjoyed the surrounding trees and birds. There really was nothing that we did not like. If I had to pick something, it would be that the car was parked up the top and we had to walk our luggage down the winding pathway and a boardwalk to the cabin. But that didn't really bother us.
- Tanya (7/5): A lovely cabin but very small, without a lot of facilities for the price - Bathroom was lovely, and the cabin was clean. It was also nice and warm with the air conditioner. The deck was very nice and the bed was comfortable. The pillows were very uncomfortable, so we didn't sleep well. There was nowhere to sit except on the bed or outside. The BBQ was dirty so we didn't use it, but had planned to. There was no sink in the kitchenette which was very frustrating, and we were expected to wash our dishes. The bathroom basin was too shallow for this purpose with an immovable spout (difficult to fill the kettle). The shared laundry was also quite dirty.
- Florence (7/5): Good - The cabin is very cute.
The veranda seems very great(but unfortunately not usefull under rains)
The cabin was clean. The cabin is small, specially when it's rainy.
Not useful to wash the dishes (in the bathroom)
When you take a shower, the bathroom is flooded.
- Lyn (5/5): The area is lovely but it was our 8th stay in Australia and the first we were disappointed - It was v clean and there was access to a washing machine in a shared laundry room It described a kitchenette but the only water supply was from a combined hot/cold water tap in a smallish bathroom basin or the shower! It was described as cosy but was v small and the only table and chair were on the decking which was not usable in the rain our only option for sitting was on the bed.
- Brendan (9/5): Great little cabin, clean, tidy and in a quiet spot. - Had everything we needed for a long weekend stay. In a quiet location but close to town. Nothing
- Sarah (8/5): Cute little cabin in beautiful location. - The location and the outside deck area. The bed wasn’t comfortable at all. Has resulted in me having a bad back !
- Natalie (7/5): Lovely place to reset. Gorgeous setting. - Location Cost a little high for size of place.
- Sandi (10/5): This was an extraordinarily beautiful place to spend time. We have already booked for our 2024 trip - The location was amazing It would have been useful to have a plastic washing up bowl to fill from the basin in the bathroom. We could have then washed up outside or on the worktop rather than in the basin itself which was a bit awkward.
- Jessica (8/5): Very good - amazing location some coffee/ tea provisions would be fab
- Sabina (10/5): can't wait to come back. - amazing place. Beautiful location. Everything is nicely decorated and functional. Would come back. no applicable
- Ferdinand (10/5): Cozy moments next to nature - Michael fulfilled all our wishes. The weather was quite bad. Cold and rainy. But it was really cozy in that cottage, so that we could just relax...
A carpet at the entrance would have been great to clean the shoes. But everything else, we found it there :)
- Emma (10/5): Exceptional -
- Latifah (10/5): Nice & quiet place. I loved it! - Everything! Nothing!
- Rachael (10/5): Cutest little Leura cabin, will be back! - The cabin was so cute, freshly renovated and surprisingly really warm for our winter stay. Situated at the back of another property but because of the way it is facing you feel as if you are out in the middle of the bush. Just across the highway from Luera, popped down each morning for a coffee. Loved staying here, wish we didn't have to go home! Small hot water system can only handle two average length showers, don't dilly dally or your partner will be having a cold shower!
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional - Very cute ad private little cabin. Perfect for a couples weekend away. The host communicated really well and it is in a great location.
