Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Innocent (7/5): Good - Specious two bedroom flat with a wide screen television. The Internet was very fast, the kitchen area is adequately equipped. They should improve on cleanliness both on the corridor to the door and in the flat.
- Mohamed (3/5): Not recommended - The location only Most of the lights on the ceiling are not working, no one cleaned the place for 8 days, there is no cold water to shower, the heaters are not working in the bedrooms, cold air, bad smell and car sounds are coming in from the window because it is old and not maintained, the building is not clean from the inside and needs cleaning
- Jallan (5/5): Clean and central but being ear plugs! (And don’t think you can sleep without - Great location and the place was clean and comfortable. The entrance is quite dodgy and the noise at night is very difficult to sleep through even for a heavy sleeper like me. The room on the left hand side has some sort of air conditioning vent rattling away all night and then during the night a group of people seemed to be shouting right outside my window. Traffic noise is also very loud.
- Mencía! (9/5): Superb -
- Nur (7/5): Good - the location of the place there was no decent shampoo/body wash
- Gail (7/5): Great location, good sized bedrooms. We were three cousins meeting up and it was suitable for us. - Great location just a 5 minute walk to Marble Arch station and bus stops nearby.
There was teabags and other condiments in the kitchen as well as shampoo in the bathroom. As others have mentioned the communal entrance/staircase needs a good clean and isn't welcoming.
The shower was electric. We didn't get any hot water in the kitchen to wash dishes.
The bathroom needs a bathmat and a hand towel for each guest.
There was a fair bit of traffic noise from the street below but that didn't bother us as we use earplugs.
I used the sofa bed which was ok. There wasn't a sheet for it though.
We couldn't find a way of turning the heating on other than the fire blower.
- Joshua (10/5): Convenient and well priced accommodation - Property was very easy to access and very comfortable for our stay Nothing in particular that we disliked
- Stephen (9/5): Access to the west end within 20 minutes. - It was like a home from home in an area full of restaurants with alfresco dining. The restaurants were open until 3.30 am.
- Amit (5/5): Passable -
- Tanya (8/5): Two bed apartment is what I need , just felt it needed some little extras. - Apartment clean and Bed comfortable. Liked the red roses, nice added touch. The entrance to the apartment wasn’t great. It wasn’t inviting, I was concerned. Opening the door of the apartment was good though. Little added extras would be good. Some larger towels and a small mat when you get out of the shower. Bottle water would be good and some sachets of coffee and tea. The apartment is on road which is busy, you need plugs if you have trouble sleeping like I do.
- Danielle (7/5): Overall not bad, good stay. - Great location, perfect for hyde park concerts. Comfy beds, really clean apartment, great price and communication, fully furnished and kitted out with everything needed. It did the job for what we needed for the weekend. Very noisy outside (not their fault), rattly windows, very thin curtains that did not fit the windows, recently done up but all finished to a poor standard. Only given one very small towel each which didn't cover a lot when sharing the apartment with friends. Entranceway's very grubby and loose electrical cabling, apartment didn't feel very secure.
- Freya (8/5): really enjoyed it - the location how close it was to the shops and restaurants lack of fans/ air conditioning
- Marina (5/5): I would not rent that apartment again. - Location was really good. The apartment is spacious. Bedrooms were nice and comfy.
The host responded immediately to our questions!
It was obvious somebody tried to make the appartement nice and welcome, nice bed covers in yellow and red, baskets with towels, electric fireplace in the living room but....there are some serious problems to take care of. The entrance into the building is super filthy. In the apartment windows were not closing well so it was super noisy. It felt as if we were outside on the street which, by the way, is super noisy. Windows were not washed and cleaned for some years?. The window in yellow bedroom was just above some kind of electric fan humming strongly every evening, it was impossible to sleep without earbuds. The kitchen cabinets were sort of falling appart, there was no light above the stove, the oven was not cleaned after previous visiteurs. There is a problem with a hot water in the bathroom running dangerously hot after a while. The second water heater has reversed indications, on/off, cold/ hot all mixed up. All the finishing jobs ( electrical installations, water, paint ) were poorly executed and no maintenance was done recently. It's a shame really because this apartment could be a perfect gem in Marble Arch!!!
- Lesley-ann (4/5): Perfect flat. But absolutely no sleep from outside noise. - Easy to find and the apartment and hosts were amazing. I would have given this place ten out of ten if it wasn't for the noise. The noise. We got no sleep at all. There is a very very noisy air conditioning unit or something located right outside the back window and ot could have been ok but at times it would go so loud and sounded like a digger. Then the staff from the restaurant below were out every 45mins and were very loud. And the gate to enter was crazy crazy loud too. We couldn't believe how bad it was. And it was such a shame as everything else was 10 out of 10.
- Myo (8/5): Very good -
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Webster (7/5): Lovely little apartment with one or two little issues - The apartment itself was lovely on the inside. Two decent sizes rooms, a nice sized kitchen with amenities, cleaning supplies and a smart TV with all of the apps. Access to the apartment isn't great. I arrived after 4pm and the whole place was very dark and unfamiliar, which made me a little uneasy.
If you're a light sleeper like I am, you may struggle to get a full night's sleep. There are two rooms, one which faces a restaurant that blasts music across the street until midnight. The other faces done kind of generator or electrical box that causes a really loud buzz. There were also several workmen just outside my window causing all sorts of noise.
The shower is a little confusing. Two identical showerheads, neither one of them working correctly. I managed to get them to work in the end, but the dials caused for all kinds of confusion. Turning the shower off turned it on, for example.
