- Johannes (7/5): Nice location for a quiet stay and kitesurfing, but poor value for money - Very close to the beach (dog off-leash area!), BBQ area, kitesurfspot and playground. The appartment was very clean and bright. The management was trying their best to accommodate our needs (baby cot, ventilation etc.). The house and the apartment are poorly soundproofed, with very thin walls. The toilet didn't have a window and the ventilation switched on randomly during the night, which caused additional noise. After asking what could be done, the ventilation was switched off completely, which helped with the noise, but is also not ideal if you don't have a window. It would be great to have a normal dinner table with proper chairs and not only high chairs, this is not easy with kids. Unfortunately, some berries were ripe in the garden and the birds chose the balcony to eat and poo there, so we had to clean the table twice daily to be able to eat somewhere. Although we enjoyed the beach, it's important to know that the beach is dog off leash area and we had quite a few problems with dogs going after our kids. Everyone with smaller kids staying in Yorkey's Knob should be aware of this.
