• Leone (8/5): Large apartment, good for a group - Large and comfortable apartment on Zamalek Island, 3 separate bedrooms, a huge living/dining area with Nile views and plenty of seating. The booking details did say it has a balcony but there isn't one just large windows. Beds were ok, very low and hard but comfortable enough. 2.5 bathrooms, only 2 showers. Shower heads don't always stay in position so you'll end up with water spraying everywhere. Kitchen had enough plates, cups, cutlery etc. No supplies whatsoever in the apartment, no toilet paper, dishwasher liquid, shower gel etc. Floor was quite dirty, this was very noticeable when the sunlight was coming in. Access was ok once we connected with the doorman Hany. Easy enough to get Ubers to and from the apartment. Lots of cafes nearby. Most apartments we've stayed in have supplied some soap, shower gel, tissues etc. This one had nothing.

• Mark (9/5): Great location, wonderful apartment. You can relax in the whirl of Cairo on the island of Zamalek. - A wonderful place to stay. For me, it was a gem of a place. Great location, acres of space, 3 large bedrooms, double bed in each. Enormous living area. Its not a hotel, but it feels like a home. I loved it. I highly recommend it. We used Uber to get around the city from this hub location. Restaurants and shops in walking distance. Easy going locals and neighbours. An amazing view over the river. I was struggling with the chaos and pressure of Giza. However, Zamalek, and staying at this apartment got me really into Cairo. What it is, who the people are, and how i can fit in and around the place. Staying here made me look forward to coming back to Cairo. I loved it.
