• Libby (6/5): I felt it was overpriced for what it was and definitely did not feel safe. - Property was spacious and good location. Property is quite dated. Water damage and wear and tear to the vanity, cabinets, walls, floors and other areas on the property. The apartment had obviously been broken into at some point and instead of replacing the front door, the damage was portly repaired, leaving us to feel very unsafe and we were not happy leaving our expensive car in the car park, especially when there was what appeared to be an abandoned looking car in the temporary visitor park for the entire four days we stayed there. The stair well was dirty and unkempt and we did not feel safe at all. We had to put a wedge under the front door just to feel comfortable enough to sleep and I ended up sleeping on the couch in case someone did attempt to break in. Check in was painful to begin with, I kept getting requests from the property for my credit card details, the requests stated I would not be given check in details until I gave card details, I had to contact Booking.com to sort as they advise not to give card detail by message, email or phone and I was getting multiple requests from this property up until the day prior to check in. I was worried we would be out over $700 for our stay and not be given any check in details due to not providing the property my card details. Eventually got check in details without providing card details after contacting booking.com

Fantastic, friendly communication from the host. Great area close to the city. We had a lovely stay at this property and will definitely stay again of we're in the area. Clean and tidy accommodation. • patty (8/5): Great pet friendly and roomy accommodation in Norman Park. - The beds were very comfortable and the space in the unit was great. 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms was really handy. My husband was having major surgery at a Brisbane hospital and he needed to convalesce nearby for follow up appointment. We stayed 8 nights. The apartment was really good for him and he used the nearby Norman Park train station to and from the hospital for his last appointment at the hospital. The apartment was pet friendly which was fantastic and my doggy and I enjoyed the challenging hilly walks around Norman Park. We are from a small country town, we don't have traffic lights or even a roundabout, so we found the traffic noise was very loud. Others from the city might not notice it that much but we did. Other than that we were happy with the accommodation.

• Laurie (9/5): Superb - Close to Bus stops, river ferries and transport links. Good size apartment with good amenities and a large balcony. With balcony open, traffic noise is fairly constant, and being on the second floor, stairs could be an issue for the elderly.

• Peter (9/5): A well situated apartment that is clean and tidy, living up to our expectations. We would stay again - Host was very quick to act to a small issue we had with the apartment and clear values customer satifisfaction. Apartment is well situated on the outskirts of the city with good bus connections right outside the door. Apartment is well equipped and neat and tidy. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend it. Situated near a very busy main road it can be a bit noisy at times but it was not a major issue with good sound proofing windows. Another small issue is that the area of Hawthorne does not have as much access to river side walkways as with the north side of the river but it is just a quick ferry. ride across from Hawthorne ferry landing to all citycat terminals which is a 20m walk from the apartment.

• Angelica (10/5): Exceptional - The beds were amazing, felt like our beds at home!! The feel of the apartment was homely. The balcony had an amazing view, we ate breakfast & dinner outside the whole stay. The couch was uncomfortable, the stair were hard to get up with lots of luggage. The shower pressure was not good.
