Guest Reviews
- Livia (7/5): Good -
- Alice (7/5): Good - Beds were comfortable and nice thick quilts/doonas. Clean. Bedrooms spacious. Bathrooms also spacious. Good cooking faciltiies in kitchen. Highchair and crockery/cutlery for kids. Full size fridge. And good amount of pots/pans, knives etc. Thankful for having foil, cling wrap etc. WiFi was good
Overall it was a comfortable stay. But for the amount you pay they haven't gone to the effort to add any comforts or conveniences. The '5th bedroom' looks as if was designed as a lounge area and converted to bedroom but had no door just a curtain separating from the main hallway. Not ideal when sharing the house with families.
No hand towels or face washers. Only 1 towel per person and no spare towels (3night stay) and some just didn't dry in the very cold weather.
Not all beds had a top sheet just a fitted and a quilt and there were no extra blankets.
There was very basic tea and coffee with the smallest amount of milk (for 3 nights with 6 adults not even enough for one cup of tea each).
And only 1 set of keys for the house!
When paying over $700 per night expected a few more of those things would be standard.
Living area crammed with couch and dining table so close together - couldn't move around the table when seated at it.
The house is next to vacant land which is a thoroughfare to the highway service centre and there were lots of people walking past at all hours and sometimes noisy at night so we weren't sure how safe it would be.
I found the communication from the managers a little over the top and very punitive. I understand there needs to be rules etc but every email was a standard template with many threats of being fined for various things including a threat of misplacing a key costing $100-380! And if rubbish not taken out $300 (Seems excessive to me). And because of this we found it hard to relax or enjoy ourselves. I also felt uncomfortable providing my id via a nonsecure platform and was offered no alternative and no explanation for why it was needed.
Additionally there was a tiny rubbish bin inside and no separate recycling bin inside nor a biin for collecting compost suitable for the green waste bin, such simple things to add which really could help reduce the environmental impact.
