Guest Reviews
- Monica (10/5): - We loved the cabin, the lovely extras provided including fresh bread, butter, honey and eggs. The cabin could have a few more plants to provide more privacy. Also the pool was on the property but not with the cabin.
- Neda (10/5): A beautiful bush retreat - This was a gorgeous stay in the bush only 10 minutes from the beach. The cabin was beautiful and atmospheric, with a very comfortable bed. Our hosts were lovely and went above and beyond to ensure our comfort โ we really enjoyed the welcome wine, eggs, bread and butter! The bathroom is great, the place is thoughtfully kitted out with everything you might need. The resident alpacas and peacocks were very charming.
- Julie (10/5): This was a lovely, peaceful retreat. - Lovely country feel, farm animals plus wallabies, friendly host and surprise breakfast basket.
- Natalie (10/5): Peaceful, tranquil, romantic & beautiful - The property was gorgeous! Immediately felt comfortable and a sense of home and tranquility, the energy of the place was beautiful! We were greeted by the cutest most friendly goats who were up for a pat and a cuddle but also left us alone to do our thing! The facilities were great and it felt like everything had been thought of from the reading nook to the hammock outside, the outdoor bath to the indoor fireplace. The hamper on arrival was a treat and the booklet of information about the area was so helpful too! It felt private and cosy and it was the perfect romantic getaway for us. And that bed - soooo comfortable with a doona that felt like a cloud! We played chess and scrabble and enjoyed cooking out on the back balcony / patio where the hot plate was strategically placed & enjoyed a beautiful morning coffee in the hammock with the sun! 10/10 and would stay again, exceptional experience!!! Nothing at all!
- Greg (9/5): It was beautifully relaxing. No mobile reception, great. WiFi available, but loved the quiet. - Host met us at their property gate, and let us in. No keys were needed, but they were provided so doors could be locked if the guest desired. I could not think of single thing we didn't like.
- Kylee (10/5): We loved this stay! - Fantastic location, on acreage but just a short drive to the beach. The cabin was lovely and quiet, great back verandah and front fire pit. Comfy bed and everything you need, including alpacas and goats๐
- James (10/5): - The hamper was a lovely touch. How good was the bread and honey.. Yum! Loved the animals and friendly staff too. 10/10
- Steven (10/5): Amazing - Dog Friendly - Amazing stay with two dogs - the other animals on the property were wonderful, the proximity to the dog beach was great and the hamper of goodies on arrival were perfect!
A great little getaway location, the indoor and outdoor fire were perfect for a winter stay. A glass of wine and a game of cards by the fire was simply magic.
- Sagar (10/5): Exceptional - It's perfect to escape and have retreat. Had my partner's birthday gateaway and everything was perfect. Cam really looked after us with delicious breakfast and freshly baked bread. Had connection with goats and alpacas.
- Brook (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bethany (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luis (10/5): Exceptional -
- Philip (9/5): Cosy, comfortable farmstay - Clean, cosy, farmstay cottage which lends itself to a relaxed ambiance. We were delighted to find a hamper including freshly baked bread, local honey, wine and fresh produce. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom spacious with hot water. There were games available, a great selection of novels and the accompanying hammock on the back verandah. A highlight was the outdoor bath under the stars! We enjoyed watching the menagerie of farmyard animals that passed our gate during the day. A place to refresh with abundant bird-life, not far from Bawley Point and the beach. Bill and Cam were wonderful, hospitable hosts. Loved everything but could have benefitted from brighter lighting at night for reading.
- John (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet cool close to Dog beach & nice all round
- Nicole (10/5): We absolutely loved our stay at Bawley Ridge, Cam and Bill were very helpful and welcoming! - The breakfast was such a lovely surprise when we arrived, a freshly baked loaf of bread, eggs, butter and honey in a basket with a bottle of wine. All lovingly prepared with a little welcome note. Nothing, it was perfect!
- Natalie (10/5): Perfect Cozy Retreat for Pets and People Alike! - My partner and I had an amazing time at this charming cabin! The place was super cute, and I especially enjoyed relaxing in the bath and hammock. My dogs had a blast running around the yard and watching the goats. We also loved the nearby dog-friendly beaches, which were a big plus. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the kitchen was impressively well-stocked with everything we needed. The welcome hamper on arrival was such a thoughtful touch. Highly recommend for a relaxing, pet-friendly getaway That I couldn't stay longer.
- Kim (9/5): Lovely long break - Amazing hosts, fresh bread and eggs from the farm. We had the best dinners provided. The bath tub outside was lovely ๐ and the doggos loved the enclosed garden The grass around the property was very long, but I understand that the rain held the owners back from mowing that week
- Joyce (10/5): A beautifully relaxing, comfortable 2 days. - A wonderful escape from the city. Peaceful location and the cottage had everything we could possibly need. Cam and Bill were welcoming and helpful hosts. The 'welcome basket' of warm bread, fresh eggs, honey, butter and wine was a lovely touch and delicious.
We didn't avail ourselves of the outdoor bath due to the weather, but it looked very tempting nonetheless!
- Angela (10/5): A quiet and relaxing little get away on the coast. Camilla was a lovely and friendly host. - Quiet, secluded spot, a short drive to the beach.
- Paula (10/5): Tranquil getaway in rural location with easy drive to the coast - Great layout for 2 people needing own space - eg the owners happily accommodated a request for a separate bed which was at the other end of the cottage and bathroom sharing was easy (not en suite). In addition, very welcoming, secluded, quiet, convenient location, and a lovely welcome food basket. Liked everything, but there are limited dinner options nearby, especially during the holidays, so best to bring some food supplies and make use of the good kitchen facilities.
- Chris (10/5): Relaxing and Tranquil! Loved every second of it. - Everything! The hosts were wonderful and accomodating and have thought of everything to allow you to switch off and enjoy the cabin in slow time.
- Shawna (10/5): A quirky melody of farm life and a whimsical journey into nature's heart! - We were absolutely delighted with the overall atmosphere of the cottage. Bill and Cam's warm hospitality, the plush and comfortable bed, the modern bathroom, and the delightful welcome basket, along with the enchanting animal companions, all come together to create an incredibly memorable and truly unforgettable getaway. If you're seeking respite from the hectic city life and a chance to reconnect with the beauty of the natural world, this charming cottage stands as the ideal destination. We extend our heartfelt thanks to Bill and Cam for graciously sharing this wonderful space with us. Rest assured, we'll be returning soon!
- Steve (10/5): Pleasant, peaceful, would highly recommend for couples to unwind and reconnect with themselves. - Location is excellent, a very quiet and serene location, just great not to be woken up by sirens, neighbours, loud cars etc. The freshly baked bread in the basket along with a bottle of wine and fresh farm eggs was an absolute delight. Thank you Cam and Bill. After speaking with Bill and then understanding what great expectations he has for this little oasis, I take my hat off to them. We wish both of you all the best in your journey, would love to return in the future to see your dreams come to fruition, great to see a wonderful couple having a go.
- Clive (10/5): Cam & Bill were very welcoming. Having a hot bath the stars was amazing. Certainly recommend the dinner meals . A to - It was very rustic and felt very homely. It just had this atmosphere. The fire place, the modern bathroom, the outside bath, the home made bread, honey and butter and the beautiful dinner an option. Oh and feeding the goats. Nothing
