Guest Reviews
- Jonathan (5/5): Localisation correct mais déçu de l’état du logement et des ustensiles de cuisine. - La terrasse et la chambre L’état des ustensiles de cuisine. La propreté du logement.
- Rikke (9/5): Loved the feeling of "home away from home" - Really lovely flat, beautifully decorated and a lovely garden as well! Good location close to both Overground and tube stations. Leytonstone area is lovely and has a lot of very nice little local, quirky Eastlondon places for coffee, food etc. Great and helpful host!
- Marinella (10/5): -
- Frederika (10/5): Extremely clean and comfortable flat - Although the apartment seems small, it is in fact compact, extremely clean and comfortable and gave off good vibes, with the assortment of curios and retro furniture. Nice collection of books.
Will recommend it to friends. Difficult to find being far from tube station (but I'm not good at reading maps!)
- belinda (9/5): - Location was perfect for me. Close to family, transport links for London. It was a quiet street. Lovely outside space .
- William (9/5): Quick last minute accommodation turned into pleasant stay - Cosy and nice outdoor space, nice amount of natural light and sunlight coming through the house Nothing, it was fab
- Lad (9/5): Beautiful place perfect for a couple - Beautiful decor and good-sized, perfect for a couple
The apartment has everything you might need, and the host even left a complimentary bottle of wine and some sweets.
Communication with the host was quick, and check-in/out was easy. It was somewhat hard to find the sweet spot between hot and cold water in the shower.

- Arun (9/5): Tastefully decorated, spacious one bedroom apartment - Lots of character: old books (many classics in literature), strange antique items, good lighting, great coffee machine, and a patio in the back. Quiet road, but not far from a high street with shops, restaurants, and bus. Spacious. One problem I discussed with the owner right away is the lack of a table. For short stays I suppose some people don't cook in their rental, but I was here for 1.5 month. Without a table it's impossible to host for friends or do serious work on laptop! The owner offered to buy a folding table, which I didn't do in the end. So just to say, he was receptive to any issues that come up. Lovely to have lived in Leytonstone for a bit!
- Katarina (8/5): - Liked the layout, unique design and character. Spacious, well equipped kitchen and nice bedroom. Convenient for overground and Stratford Westfield. Can regulate heating. Thank you for leaving various snacks in the living room. This apartment has lots to offer for sure. Electric shower not good (in all fairness they never are). Low pressure, water either cold or boiling hot. Its also time to get to it and properly scrub all the mildew, dirt and black mould from the shower bottom corners. Do not worry too much about upsetting neighbours. Just stay quiet and respectful. As they are in the habit of loud entrances, stomping floors, arguing/shouting and throwing furniture at each other after midnight. Had quite a show, but always felt safe regardless.
- Giuseppe Guidi (8/5): - Low water pressure in the bathroom, water not too hot.
- Rupert (8/5): Excellent short stay in very conveniently located and homely apartment. - Very homely and great location for us. Very well equipped and Giles was a very responsive host. Easy access. The shower was very poor
- Vincenzo (8/5): Comfy stay in an old-fashioned house. - Giles's house is really comfy, a real quiet place in the neighborhood! It's also old-fashioned but has all the electric equipments you need to live, from the dishwasher to the microwave! A good place to stay if someone wants to go to the City, near the principal routes! Also a big backgarden, that sadly we didn't use much due to the weather we found. Maybe an extra towel for the hands would have been nice to have. We had some problems also with the barista coffee machine (didn't start due to cleaning) and there were no capsules of coffee left for the other coffee machine (only decaffeinated ones); nevertheless, those problems didn't affect our journey so much, so it was ok!

- Frits (7/5): Fijn - Leuk appartement in buurt van de metro Miste een klein tafeltje in de huiskamer
Douche cabine veel zwarte aanslag
Kan schoner
- Ese (8/5): Good stay overall :) - Very kind host. Good kitchen facilities. Great fan which was silent and cooled the room down perfectly. Most comfortable bed I have ever slept on :) Has quite a lot of furniture which may have contributed to it being quite dusty throughout the home. The garden was a large space but spiders have unfortunately taken over; never seen anything like it. I would’ve been quite disappointed if I had plans to spend time in the garden but luckily we didn’t so it didn’t bother us much
- Patricia (9/5): A lovely, comfortable apartment. - The property was spacious and beautifully furnished in a homely and quirky way, the bed comfortable, basic pantry items were supplied and the kitchen was well equipped, it is close to public transport, our host, Giles, provided a lot of information about the surrounding area and was a great communicator, the locale is diverse and lively. Overall, a very enjoyable stay. A bit of a trek into the city - approx 30 to 50 minutes depending where you want to go.
- Huggy (10/5): Exceptional - Very well laid out clean and nice neighborhood
- Ray (10/5): Exceptional -
- Audrey (9/5): the perfect house for a nice little getaway - Very beautiful, nice neighborhood, extremely cosy, it’s my second time coming and i still love it ! there was a slight problem with the shower it kept going cold or extremely hot, but nothing big since there’s also a big tub that worked perfectly fine
- Maja (9/5): Very cosy and comfortable, tastefully decorated, home away from home feel to it. - Very cosy and comfortable, tastefully decorated, home away from home feel to it.
- Sm (9/5): Unique, cosy, flat for a perfect holiday - Cosy flat with all the amenities. Close to transport and shops. We had a little issue with the cleaning, but the host was prompt in resolving it. So no issues.
- Ray (10/5): Cosy, great value for money and very homely! - Home away from home. We had an amazing stay at this property. The location was excellent as it was easy to get into central London and our time at the apartment was enjoyable due to the great facilities, spaciousness and relaxed atmosphere. There was not much to not like about the apartment. I could knit pick at things but what does come to mind is there was no coffee table in the lounge area - However that was not an issue and was solved using the bedroom trunk.
- Aleshanee (7/5): A week in Leytonstone - Easy to find. Easy to self check in. Had all the amenities I required. Iron and ironing board came in handy. Had a shower and a deep soaking bathtub. Had more than enough bathroom tissue until I bought my own pack of tissue. Local to Tesco Express. Lots of Uber Eats options. Short wait for Ubers..Close to Leyton train station. Nice lighting in the backyard(back garden). Pots and pans and utensils. A black folder in the kitchen helps explain how most things operate in the property. There were some hiccups upon my stay with the pipes under the sink breaking but Giles did have the handy person come by and fix within a decent amount of time. Handyman was polite and non disruptive to myself and my company. Bed was soft and comfortable. Heater worked very well. The first door you enter to get in to the main door to the apartment..don't let it close if you are taking trash outside you could get locked out. Keep the key on you. Also you need to turn the handle up to first when you turn the key.. Walls might be thin.. could probably be heard by neighbors and can hear neighbors. Would have liked wipes to tidy the kitchen or paper towels..
- Dr (9/5): Excellent! - Very cozy and felt like home All great! Host was very accommodating and kind
- Zsuzsanna (10/5): Comfortable stay, near Central London. - Excellent location! The apartment is comfortable, bright and filled with unique nautical items. The host was very responsive when we had questions. N/A
- Leta (9/5): It's a home away from home, Giles was very responsive . - Great rustic charm in an old character building . Lovely sunny kitchen . Bed was pretty comfortable. Nice bathroom . There was nothing we didn't like about our stay .
- Colin (10/5): Exceptional - Great location in an interesting part of London , good character Lack of hooks on back of door
- John (10/5): Incredible value and a perfect secret location for London. - Excellent aesthetic. All eventualities catered for. Great host and fab location. Bargain! Would be nice to have net curtains in the bedroom and a stool in the bathroom.
- Raza (10/5): Exceptional -
- Samantha (9/5): Evertything was good except the distance to London city is too far. - The atmosphere was nice, especially the decoration, the wooden floor is cozy and the colours of the room made us feel like home. The hot water is not strong enough, and the shower head was not stable.
- Ireneusz (10/5): Exceptional -
- Konstantinos (10/5): A real GEM for a London stay. Perfect and super Clean - Everything is perfect , the house is very near to all public transportation for central London ,there are many super markets and pubs and overall Giles is the most helpfull host. Thank you for the lovely stay
- Behnoosh (8/5): I would go there again as in London is impossible to get large accommodation with reasonable price. - The property felt like my own home, smelled nice, it was clean and the right size for me to be able to cook, use the dishwasher and washing machine, watch TV...a lovely little garden to get some fresh air when required. The noisy neighbor upstairs. When at home over weekend made noise, every time leaving home made loud noise when coming down the stairs/closing doors. As I was home most of the time and I am not a loud person that bothered me, for someone who is out most day/weekend, should not be a problem.
- Massimo (10/5): A beautiful gem inside London. - I like a lot the cleaning of the apartment, all the rustic fashion object inside, and the beautiful position in London. A very quiete location, with silence arond. The apartment is also situated a 10 minutes of walk by the central line or 5 minutes walk by the bus for stratford. I like everything of the apartment.
- Gloria (10/5): Exceptional - this flat is bigger than what I expected with all the amenities I need to stay for a couple of nights in London. the flat is also clean and the kitchen has everything I need to prepare breakfast and dinner. The location is quite far from central London, it took me ~1.5 hour to reach by tube/bus
- Maria (10/5): Great stay, great location - superb - Modern decor , fully equipped. Spotless clean , very modern Nothing , everything was great
- Ozama (9/5): A cute and comfortable week long stay! - It was very comfortable and just the right amount of space for one person, but would also be comfortable for a couple. The espresso machine was very special! Enjoyed a few good coffees from it. And was handy having the washing machine as I was there for a week. The host was very responsive to queries also left some welcome snacks which was cute! And the place was extremely clean. The location is tucked away from the high street so is quiet but easy to get to nearby shops and cafes. Highly recommend! Very little to dislike. Only negative was that the internet connection was a low speed one and had limited connectivity through the house, so this may not be ideal for anyone travelling for work that requires faster speeds and unrestricted access. But for basic Googling and messaging, it works fine.
- Joel (9/5): You get a great apartment that's worth the money - Cozy bed and couch, great atmosphere, friendly host, beautiful decorations. Lots of grocery stores and train stations nearby. You can travel to London center in roughly 30-40 minutes. WiFi was hit or miss in the bedroom and bathroom, upstairs neighbors were pretty noisy (like arguing loudly at 7am), water pressure in the shower was a bit disappointing.
- Daniel (10/5): Lovely stay, safe neighborhood, nearby facilities, a home away from home. -
- Malthe (10/5): If you're looking for a hidden gem, you've found it... - The pictures does not do the flat justice as it was bigger than expected.
The decor is amazing with lots of old rustic items that blend together to create a cozy atmosphere.
The kitchen and bathroom is modernised and provides everything you would need.
A second door leads outside to an open private area where you can enjoy breakfast or a coffee.
Staff was super helpful with quick communication and gave simple and direct instructions about the flat.
Overall, the value you get for your money is second to none and I can wholeheartedly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in the area.
