- Mary (10/5): DIVINE - Incredible renovation of a historic church with many historical references with modern comforts. Nada
- PETER (9/5): A very different place to stay which exceeded our expectations - Great spot to explore Tasman peninsula, beautiful surroundings. Well equipped and a very comfortable, relaxing place to unwind. Amazingly comfortable bed. Quirky! Nothing

- Leah (9/5): - We absolutely loved our stay at St Martins. The whole place is so thoughtfully and beautifully put together. You can’t help but feel that you are staying in a very special and inspiring home.
- Andrew (9/5): Perfect finish to a Tasmanian stay with Sea views and Seafood at your doorstep - Spectacular location perched on a rise to enable views of the bay, the hill and vineyard across the channel
Nice to relax in the private Sauna to ease the tired muscles after some great hikes nearby
Great seafood nearby within easy strolling distance
- Bernhard (10/5): A highlight on our 24 hotels around the world trip. - Absolutely unique boutique style accommodation. Great interior with love to detail. Spotless clean.
Loved the no shoes policy. Absolutely nothing.

- Agnes (10/5): - Everything! 😁
Will be back again. It was no free coffee.
- Linda (10/5): We enjoyed our stay greatly - The age and history of the site The garden could have been better taken care of

- GERALDINE (10/5): Sumptuous 😊 - Absolute gem !! Followed the renovation on Renovation Australia and absolutely loved our stay. Strongly recommended!!
- Michael (10/5): Beautiful property excellently designed to provide every comfort while staying true to its past. - It’s probably the most amazing place I’ve stayed. I’d give it 11/10 if I could. The property has been renovated with great care to create a beautiful space with tasteful decor and great facilities yet it retains the characteristics of its past life. If you decide to stay here book more than one night so you can enjoy everything it has to offer. You won’t be disappointed! Having to leave !!!
- Monique (10/5): Dunalley's finest church! - This fabulous boutique restored and converted church was truly delightful! So many interesting pieces throughout it. We loved the sauna, played some hilarious "old school" boardgames (we recommend the John Sands Australian Surfboard" game!), the kitchen was well appointed, however given the incredible food options available in this little town, we didn't need to use much. The bathroom was fantastic, great water pressure in the shower! Comfy bed with a deliciously warm duvet. It really was the perfect spot to switch off and relax. I would highly recommend staying here - we just wished we were staying longer and look forward to a returning again. Leaving...
- Lachlan (10/5): This was an amazing stay, we didn’t think it could get better than the pictures but completely blew us away as soon as w - It was stunning in every aspect, couldn’t think of a better place to spend Christmas!
- Daniel (10/5): -
- Tony (10/5): - The character of the church, the location, the bed, the bed spread, the fire... everything

- Janine (10/5): - Beautiful accommodation in a lovely old stone church. Lovely that the character of the church has been retained with its history on display. Could I suggest perhaps a small compendium telling the history of some of the items, even before and after shots for us renovation/history geeks . I know they said "Just ask" but it would be lovely to browse through and learn some of the background. But a delightful stay and thank you for sharing it with us 🤗👌
- Lisa-maree (10/5): A very special unique accommodation, not easily forgotten 🤩 - St Martins is a unique experience and beautifully presented.. I loved the history and how very secluded it felt once we were behind closed doors.
- Rebekah (9/5): - We had an amazing 2 night stay at St Martins. Such a beautiful place to stay and relax. Enjoyed the sauna.
- Carlene (10/5): - Everything was absolutely perfect. I travel regularly, and this has to be the most stunning and thoughtful accommodation I have ever been to.
Every detail is gorgeous, from the stunning decor, sublime bed, and well-stocked kitchen. Curling up in front of the fire after a busy day exploring the 'ninch' was absolute bliss!
- Emma (10/5): Spectacular - This beautiful church was absolutely amazing and exceeded our expectations!
Every single detail stood out even the tiniest of details to the old school games to the cannon ball, the beautiful drawing desk.
It was like staying in a museum but also being taken back in time but also the luxury from the bath robes, slippers and oh gosh the bedding was like sleeping on clouds.
We only stayed two nights but I would recommend staying longer to take full advantage of the beautifully restored church Simon and aleah have put so much thought and love into this place and it certainly shows! We will definitely be back and telling everyone about our amazing stay. Absolutely nothing
- Abigail (10/5): Would highly reccommend! - The place had amazing furnishings and really cool decorations. A lovely kitchen and bathroom. A very comfy bed with a super comfy doona!! Very thoughtful layout of the place. Very good location. Really enjoyed having house slippers. Having a fireplace was awesome. Would 100% come again. The hosts were super nice to work with :))

- David (10/5): A gem - Wonderful restoration. Warm. Comfortable and well appointed. A beautiful place to stay. Thank you for sharing this gem. Nothing.
- Jessica (10/5): Incredibly comfortable and warm with everything you need for the perfect holiday - This was by far the best accommodation experience I've had in my life! The bed was so comfortable, the attention to detail with all the amenities was fantastic, fully decked out kitchen and the features of the converted church were absolutely stunning. The host was very helpful in returning a left item also. I can't wait to stay again soon Absolutely nothing, perfect in every way
- Rodney (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely stunning and well set up.
- Paul (10/5): A memorable experience with hosts able to add local food and wine enhancements - Such a pretty place and so well presented inside. Awesome to wake up in a large room with so many highlights given the quality of renovation and churchie aspects
- Stephen (10/5): Wonderful experience Great location Can’t wait to stay again - This is an amazing property. A beautifully restored old church with the addition of a wonderful kitchen and bathroom. The furnishings beautifully match the space and set a great atmosphere A lot of thought has gone into the decor and the showcasing of local products and food. The exterior sauna was a wonderful bonus. Nothing to dislike
- Kaela (10/5): Exceptional -
- Frank (9/5): Superb -
- Jonathan (10/5): A wonderful place to stay, fantastic to see the adaptation of a heritage chapel - Quality of restoration and details All good
- Jacqui (9/5): Beautiful stay after 3 Capes Hike. - Fantastic place to stay, the restoration has been done beautifully. Walkng distance to a lovely cafe and bakery, an inn with fantastic seafood. Loved the games available and if you felt like cooking everything is there. We loved the sauna. Lots of nice touches, like bath robes, extra towels and slippers. Everything was great. Maybe a little bit more privacy when using the sauna...it was fine however some might feel a bit like they can be seen.
- Antoine (10/5): Superb experience - Fantastic experience. Luxury at its best. Detailed furnishing and finishing. A real treat Nothing
- Helene (10/5): This property was a little bit of luxury post walking in Tasmania. I would thoroughly recommend it ❤️ - The property has been beautifully renovated. It is comfortable with lots of thoughtful touches. It holds interesting local history and combines this with modern living. Absolutely loved it.
Great local restaurants with food recommendations from the hosts. Handy general store and garage close by. Nothing
- Timothy (10/5): A stunningly beautiful and romantic place to stay! - Amazingly beautiful place to stay! This was a last-minute booking on our part with few options available for Christmas eve, and the hosts were incredibly gracious and accommodating of our late booking. It was an absolute treat to stay in an accommodation perfect for anyone on a honeymoon or romantic getaway. 11/10!
- Jane (10/5): A private haven for restoration and relaxation - We booked into St Martin’s for a spontaneous short weekend break. Storms hit the State over the weekend we were there, but within the exquisitely restored sanctuary of this converted church, we relaxed within the stillness of the space. The accommodation is stunning, modern facilities married beautifully with the rustic sandstone and the faithfully retained church windows and wooden ceiling. The sensitive design maximises simplicity and takes advantage of the light which offers its own playful performance throughout the day and into the night.
St Martin’s is warm, furnishings are simple, in-period, and stylish. Board games, reading, writing, painting, St Martin’s is a beautiful place to decompress. Cafes and provisions are within walking distance, and the magnificent Marion Bay beach is only a five minute drive away.
St Martin’s also has a lovely deck to catch the sunrise and a fire pit for cooler nights.
The piece de resistance is the wonderful lead light window, the centrepoint of the building.
As fans of Restoration Australia, we had watched this project unfold. We admired the family’s commitment to sensitive restoration and engagement with the local community. It was a privilege to stay at St Martin’s, the years of history envelope you as does the energy and optimism of the family behind the restoration.
- Daniel (10/5): Can’t rate highly enough, definitely encourage a booking at St Martins! - This historic property had been beautifully decorated, every care and attention had been taken. Everything was well designed, from the newly fitted bathroom suite to the gorgeous kitchen. The wood burner was a lovely feature and out the back there was a fire pit with lovely views overlooking the water. Nothing
