• Kristin (10/5): If I ever come back to San Pedro, I will be staying here. - Our stay was absolutely amazing. The property was spotless, beautifully designed, and had everything we needed it truly felt like a home away from home. The owner was incredible responsive, thoughtful, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Their hospitality made all the difference. I would highly recommend staying here and would definitely come back! I absolutely loved my stay here! The artwork throughout the property was beautiful and added such a unique, thoughtful touch. The neighboring pool was perfect for relaxing, and everything was incredibly clean and well maintained. The location couldn’t have been more convenient close to everything we needed. What really took it to the next level was the service: they did our laundry for just $10 USD, washed, folded, and delivered it right back to our room. Truly above and beyond! I would 100% stay here again.

• Brooke (9/5): Cute place, no beach! - Drift Inn is a cute little spot. Good vibes and has everything you need. The free coffee and tea in the morning is a nice bonus. It’s attached to the Sandbar beach hostel, so you are able to use the rooftop infinity pool overlooking the ocean as well as the restaurant and bar areas. It has its own little pool too to hang out after 10pm when sandbar pool closes. This has less to do with the hotel and more to do with San Pedro, but there is no beach. The entire area is primarily docks with nowhere to really swim in the ocean or lay out on the sand. You have to drive 40 min to Secret Beach, which still isn’t really a beach, to lay out on chairs and swim. This was a really big bummer for us.

She did have a slight weird attitude when i asked some questions which was weird, but I believe she had good intentions. not a fan of the floors in the room. Although the room was clean, some parts of the room weren't spotless-- like the fridge, for example.
• javier (7/5): good option for san pedro - good option for san pedro. the room was a good size and private bathroom was a bonus, the showers heat was adjustable and really good pressure (which is difficult to find travelling). you have access to the sandbar pool which is a huge bonus. such a nice pool with great views and sunbeds. we got the double room with private bathroom and it didn’t come with a toaster & kettle like stated which was a bit disappointing. the kitchen was ok, had all you needed but filled with mosquitos - making it difficult to stay in there for long to cook

Lovely to be able to help yourself to free water and coffee. Access to sister hotel rooftop pool with stunning sea views. Great staff and a couple of lovely resident cats 😊
• Margaret (10/5): Wonderful stay in San Pedro - We enjoyed the location being so close to downtown and the beachfront walk to get everywhere. We only rented a golf cart for one day during our stay to explore more of the caye, otherwise we were able to walk. The room was clean & spacious and we enjoyed the communal kitchen for chats with other guests. Friendly, relaxed vibes all around. Thanks for an amazing stay! The A/C was almost too strong! We woke up cold a few mornings, but others may find appreciate this. Otherwise nothing we did not like.

• darren (10/5): - Well what can I say. What a fantastic find for the money. Excellent location for food and drink. The guy on reception jazz went above and beyond looking after us. Told us which bars had things going off. Best places and cheapest places to eat. Recommend secret beach which he did actually take us to and spent the day with us on his well deserved day off. Nice touch was the coffee and water machine at reception. The fact that you can use the rooftop pool at the sandbar was fantastic and we didn't know about this until we arrived there. All in all 10 out of 10 holiday. Nothing.
• Nadja (8/5): - Die Lage war sehr gut und zentral. Das Zimmer ist sehr geräumig und verfügt über einen eigenen Kühlschrank (man muss nicht die Gemeinschaftsküche benutzen). Sehr positiv ist, dass man den Pool vom Hostel nebenan benutzen darf, welcher sehr schön ist. Wir waren vor 14.00 Uhr angekommen und konnten keine Minute früher einchecken, da man uns mitteilte das Check-In sei per se erst ab 14.00 Uhr möglich. Von anderen Hostels sind wir uns mehr Flexibilität und Entgegenkommen gewöhnt. Golf Carts findet man überall und zu besseren Preisen wie vom Hostel angeboten.

• Tanja (9/5): Wonderful stay in the heart of San Pedro - Cute hotel/hostel located in the city of San Pedro with everything within walking distance. Hailey was super friendly and helpful with things to do and see, communication was easy and fast through WhatsApp too. We upgraded from a queen room downstairs to a king room upstairs on-site and extended another night cause the room had all we need, good bed, fridge, a small balcony, and a very good hot shower! Water and coffee was provided as well as beach blanket rentals. Nothing really, it’s an authentic and cool place to stay at!

We were able to get beach towels, a speaker for our golf cart, there was plenty of room to park said gold cart. Free water and coffee. The staff was amazing. Like above and beyond. They were able to do our laundry! We had access to another property roof top pool. There is great food like steps away. Nothing! Thank you!

Even in the street side room, outside noise was minimal due to the A/C and dehumidifier. The use of the pool at the neighboring hotel was a super addition. Always have a hard time with beds against the wall. It means one person has to scoot down to the bottom of the bed to get out of it, which often wakes the other person.

• Nama (9/5): Superb - The Best dorm room i have ever stayed in!! Looking better in reality than in the photos, big and spacious. There are lockers and curtains. In side the space of the room there are two toilets and the best warm shower. The kitchen is small but pretty equipped. The common areas are nice. Can be a little more clean. The kitchen closes at 8 pm.

• Carla (5/5): It’s ok if u just go to san pedro to dive - Rooms big enough, many lockers. Location is good. Crew members Yaal and Kevin are the highlight of my stay. Absolutely adorable. Key of room is a code which is great for those who are always forgetting stuff all around. There's an old deaf 75 y/o man LIVING in one of the dorms and he literally enters and leaves the room every 5 minutes since 5 am in the morning which makes it IMPOSSIBLE to sleep because he can't tell how noisy he is. I feel sorry writting this but that's the way I felt. It's not his fault and I assume it's the price you pay when staying in a cheap hostel dorm but at least, the property should tell him to be more careful given that everybody knows him and everybody is aware of how noisy he is. So, be aware that you may end up in a mixed dorm with an old guy who Will not do anything to you but ignore you when you say hi (and may be freak you out a lil bit) as he can't understand pretty well. As a woman travelling solo I would have loved to know this since the first night I wasn't sure what was happening with him and I felt kinda scared. He is adorable tbh. Nothing against him. Also, not enough space to chat with other travellers. Kitchen needs more attention, the cuttlery was dirty (this is guest's fault but still the hostel should be more careful). Also, if you need to cook before 8 am like it was my case, nope. Kitchen not opened cause the rooms next to it… The towels I got (which is a nice touch to have one to be honest) were all stained even tho they came right out of laundry. Reception not available 24/7 it's kinda a problem. The AC is controlled by reception people and my room felt like Siberia sometimes. Gotta asked for a blanket. Not comfy spaces to work or to plug computers in the kitchen area. I guess it's fine for people who come to San pedro to dive. Not my case so not the best hostel that I stayed at tbh.

• Paige (1/5): Not as advertised - Not Hi-speed internet and is dingy and dark - Nothing...very dissppointing and falsely advertised I only booked this hotel because it stated it had hi-speed internet which both my daughter and I needed in order to work while in San Pedro. When we arrived, I tested the speed in both the room and common areas (which would have been very hard to work in because of the noise) and it was so slow there was no way one could work online. A simple google search was possible but not high speed as advertised nor sufficient for a zoom call, which was not acceptable because I only booked it for that reason. I had to scramble and rent a golf cart to go all over town to find a new place at the last minute. Further, one should note that the rooms are dark, and claustrophic, and look out on metal bars and a dirt street. It is behind a large building that you have to walk through to get to the street near the beach. The staff was totally unapologetic about the wifi and refused to refund my money despite their false advertising and that they ended up renting the room out right away so they were not out any money from my canceling. I have been traveling for four years as a digital nomad relying on booking.com's properties to accurately describe the wifi and other amenities. Very dissappointing!

• Jonas (10/5): Exceptional - Wonderful little Inn in a quieter area of San Pedro. Just steps from the waterfront, this is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore Ambergris Caye and San Pedro on a budget. My wife and I stayed in one of their private rooms, and we were very happy with it. The staff is super friednly and helpful, the Inn is very cute with its little plunge pool in the courtyard, and if you want to cook your own meals, there is a small kitchen available. They even provide you with water, coffee and tea at the front desk, and there are some after sun lotions and sun screen available that you can borrow. Overall, we had a wonderful stay at Drift Inn and in San Pedro and would definitely recommend staying here.

• Nahia (1/5): The hotel is full of dust and dirt, bed sheets and towels have stains, internet doesn’t work properly the AC is on timer - Friendly staff and good water pressure in the shower. Dusty and smelly common areas, dirty room (towels and bed sheets with odd stains), the internet connection is terrible, AC on timer so you have to turn it on every 30 minutes. Expensive for what it offers.

The towels are dingy and stained and should be replaced. Big cockroach in the bathroom. Floor has a greasy film on it. We really wanted to live it but it just didn’t live up to the rating.

• Ron (4/5): Mediocre at best. - Location. We woke up and thought we were in the middle of a rooster farm. Hope you’re an early riser because you can bet at 6am you’re gonna wake up. We should have known when we signed in and there are complimentary ear plugs. How annoying! Also overpriced. Search around town and you’ll find nicer accommodations at half the price.

• Florian (9/5): Cute little place with welcoming athmosphere - Super great athmosphere, friendly chatty personal including cat, they help with all you need, beautiful spacious and well equiped rooms and common area with small pool and kitchen (and a second cat), in second row behind the beach good location. I would come here again when in Belize 100% As all of San Pedro its a bit noisy outside when using the balcony, its the golf carts and air conditioning units of the bigger hotels/the hostel next door.

The staff provided great information leading up to our stay. The room was perfect for our stay and air conditioning was excellent. We loved our stay, the only thing we could possibly comment on is perhaps having a broom in the room would be helpful to sweep out the sand we brought in on our shoes. But this was available at reception. We really enjoyed our stay.

Very friendly staff. Cozy sitting area for guests. The mattress was not comfortable and felt like we were sleeping on the floor. Dogs in the area started barking around 430 am making it hard to sleep. Not once during the stay was our room cleaned even though we had put the housekeeping sign on the door.

Even extended my stay (to 18 days in total), would have never left if I could !! The so called Sandbar hostel right behind Drif Inn (where I stayed 9y ago) is still very social. Very easy to meet other travelers and locals as well. The Island vibes are great too. As solo female traveler felt safe at all times. Stephanie is very supportive. Receptionists & bar tenders too. Thanks guys !!! Would have loved the mattress to be less softer. It wasn’t the most appropriate for people with back issues. But, my room was in 1st floor so almost perfect. Also, they charge in advance regardless if there is a threat of hurricanes, I could have lost 800 USA bcs they would have never reimbursed me. Maybe, better to fully avoid traveling on this period of time !

• Marc (3/5): Pics and descriptions don’t match the property - We left and never stayed It was advertised as beachfront property. No beach to be seen. Construction going on. Staff was not helpful or friendly. We left and never stayed there.

• Brian (8/5): Very good - Great location, friendly desk staff Some staff were gathered in the kitchen area outside our room and a little loud even after told we were trying to rest.
• Cynthia (10/5): Excellent stay, room and staff. - Location, room and staff were excellent. Communication was awesome and we enjoyed our stay. Nothing we didn't like. Our bed was slightly firm but when you are vacation it doesnt matter especially on Island time!!!
• Stephanie (10/5): Our room was clean, the staff was great, our bed was comfy and the shower was warm…those are the important things for us - The location was perfect. Our room was on the backside so there was very little shade unless walking around to the courtyard.
