Guest Reviews
- Art (8/5): Good locatiuon for a night or two stay - Reasonable rate clean good location Bathroom a little cramped ... decor somewhat dated
- Judy (9/5): Great little motel, clean, well located and affordable. - Great location that can be conveniently accessed before entering Sydeny. It is small, very clean, safe and perfectly located. Shops and restaurants are not far away if you nee them. This is our second sty here at Mt Kuringai Motel. Nothing to dislike from my point of view.
- Macdonald (10/5): Very good -
- Cheryl (7/5): - The location was good for travelling north, good for one night Bathroom is really cramped
- Jo Urby (9/5): Convenient and easy for a 2 night stay - Great location. Perfect for a 2 night stay, we only needed to sleep in it! Their Chinese was really good!! Comfy bed! The shower pressure was awesome!! The shower head was really low, I had to squat to wash my face. I am 172cm. And you wouldn't want to be an overweight person as the shower was small to get in and out of. It was a little squeeze for both my partner and myself. But it was fine for a 2 night stay.
- Bronwyn (8/5): - The bed was colean the room was spacious enough for the cost.
- June (8/5): Great place for a stop over on a long journey. - Very convenient stay on our way north. The room was quiet, bed very comfortable and we had a room service meal for dinner that was excellent. Good value for money stay. Staff very pleasant and helpful. The bathroom was tight for room but certainly adequate for one night.
- Sperzel (8/5): - The bed was so comfortable The shower made a lot of noise from the pressure.
- Stephen (10/5): Very happy with our stay. - Basic but very clean and comfortable. We thought traffic noise would be a problem but it wasn’t. Lovely owners. Comfortable beds.
- Mitchell (6/5): Clean , tidy , convenient - Location Very small bathroom and no shelf space
Couldn’t get dressed after shower .. no room

- Sharon (8/5): Value for money! - The location was perfect for our one night stay. Our room was small & basic but great value!
- Tony Rifle (6/5): - Too noisy due to highway traffic
- Raymond (1/5): Awful - Nothing Everything

- David Pinkerton (7/5): a little tired but ok - comfortable bed, good shower and very, very quite. old, a little shabby, musty smell but suited my needs for a stop over.
- Shaun (9/5): Good value for money, good, neat and tidy facilities and friendly staff. - I've stayed there many times, so knew what to expect. Friendly staff, good value for money, very good rooms and reasonably good location (albeit a bit noisy which is no fault of the motel). The only things I didn't like aren't the fault of the motel. With the old Pacific Highway, the Main Northern railway line and the Newcastle Expressway all side by side, across the road, it can be a bit noisy. But I knew this beforehand. It does quieten down later in the evening. Also, you can't turn right out of the motel and head towards Hornsby with an island in the middle of the road, but that's a minor gripe, and as I say not the fault of the motel, it's been like that for decades.

- BobnRobyn (8/5): - Friendly greeting. In room meal excellent. 😋
- Callum (9/5): -
- William (8/5): An affordable old style well kept motel , great for a stopover. - Close to highway. Great price and spotless.
- John (3/5): Convenient and priced right - Relatively clean Several light switches didn’t work
Had to go back out on the HWY to come in the next entrance to get to my room
- Anne and Ashley (6/5): A good location if travelling on the Motorway but the closest cafe is 5 minutes away and Thai restaurant and Pizza Hut 2 - Excellent location if travelling. Just off the Motorway The room was small and back of the complex. There were only a couple of cafes and had to drive 5-10 minutes to them.
- Carol (7/5): This is my second stay here, and I like it for its convenience, cleanliness and value for money. - The room was clean and well equipped. The location of the motel is great for M1 travellers wanting a room for the night. The motel is close (by car) to shopping and food outlets Parking is very tight if the motel is full. The bathroom is quite narrow to manoeuvre around. Sound proofing is adequate but not great.
- Muru (10/5): -
- Margaret (8/5): - Dinner at night. Very tasty, fresh and authentic. Bathroom bit small.
- Walter (7/5): -
- Kathy (6/5): -
- Megan (7/5): - Great location for us on the trip north. The room was small but very clean. The shower was hot & great water pressure. The room was outdated but comfortable for the night. It was a very hot day/night and the air conditioning worked really well once it got going. Didn’t have dinner or breakfast so couldn’t comment on the food. The staff were welcoming. The room was a little stuffy/smelly but nothing overpowering.
- Nizynski (10/5): Great little motel. - Very homely and comfortable room. Great service from the friendly staff. Well located to major roadways. The perfect stop off for heading north on a road trip.
- Rod (8/5): Very comfortable and practical - Good location on our way down to Sydney. Parking next to our room door. Nothing. Although if a person was any taller than 6 foot 2 inches they would have had to bend down in the shower to get under the nozzle.
- graham (8/5): -
- Jennie (7/5): -
- Robyn (8/5): - Convenient location to catch the train into the city
- Greg (9/5): - bed was very comfy - medium firmness and no sagging. For an overnight stay, comfy bed and quality linen, tv, kettle, fridge, shower, all perfect. Fire safety in the 2 storey building was non existent. No fire extinguisher(s); no emergency exit signage.
- Mark (9/5): Great place to stay, would come again. - Very clean, had everything we needed. We would definitely stay again.
- Michaela (10/5): -
- Dan (4/5): Last resort at all costs. - Bed was comfortable. Should be in the $80-$100 price and not $185 per night. Old. Noisy on highway and train line.
- Shaun (9/5): Good value, for suburban Sydney, friendly staff, good location. - I've stayed there several times, this was the second time in the house next door, which contains rooms 11-14. It's a house which has been converted to motel rooms which are very good, in that they are quite large. The bathroom (in room 11) is almost as big as the main room. It's quite odd in a way, a good way. As rooms 11 to 14 are in a house next door to the actual motel, it is rather different to most motels. One problem is the parking, which is a bit tight, even with a small car. But this is a minor problem. Getting in is okay, but getting out requires a bit more concentration. And there is a median-strip on the old highway which means you can't turn right into the motel or right out of the motel, which is a slight pain, but not the fault of the motel.

- Shaun (9/5): Very good value for money and a good (fairly quiet) location. - The location was good, a few kilometres north of Hornsby and close access to the Newcastle motorway. The room layout was good and value for money considering it is in Sydney suburbia, was also very good. A nice cosy motel. The bathroom in room 5 was a bit cramped as it has a new (large) basin by the look of it and made it a tight squeeze getting to the toilet and shower. But that's a minor problem. Leaving the motel by the driveway you can't turn right towards Hornsby, you have to turn left only and do a u-turn up the road, but that's not the fault of the motel.
- Alexander (8/5): -
- Meredith (8/5): Great stopover - Very clean, small but ideal for stopover Nothing really
- Darryl (8/5): -
- Bhavesh (9/5): Happy to return again. - Everything was neat and clean.
- Scott (8/5): Lovely clean northern suburbs motel - Great little local motel on the northern outskirts of Sydney All was good
- Patrick (7/5): Basic motel but clean and comfortable with accommodating staff. - This motel is basic, but clean and the management was caring. We came down from Northern New South Wales on a Saturday, with the idea of getting quickly through the Sydney tunnels on a Sunday morning, and the location was good for that. There was closure of the highway for fires the night before and a terrible heatwave. A quick storm blew through and took out the power lines, which was no fault of the motel staff, but they checked in on us and offered water and candles. It was a few hours, but the power eventually came back and the air-conditioning and lights worked after that. No real complaints for an overnight stopover. Location is more suited for a stop on the way north than south, but we prefer to overnight just before Sydney than just after.

- Dianne (9/5): Clean and tidy with helpful friendly staff - Very helpful and friendly staff. Bathroom had been renovated. We had a van and the staff moved our room so we could park near our room. Good value for money. Close to a main road and train line but the room was really quiet.
- Richard (7/5): - Simple but well kept Needs a refurb
- Ann-Maree (10/5): -
- stephen (7/5): -
- Robert (10/5): Very clean with everything we wanted for a nights stay -
- Grazyna (9/5): Clean facilities and great location - It was great value for New Years Eve and location was great as it was on the way to Newcastle. The facilities were clean Nothing
- James (10/5): Very good and would recommend to stay there - Everything Nothing
- Richard (7/5): Great simple motel would benefit from an upgrade - Handy to Ku-ring-gai National Park Old and dated
- Mark (8/5): -
- Clive (9/5): -
- Rod (7/5): -
- RSWynne (9/5): RSW - It was what I needed for Christmas night.
Served the purpose - staff very helpful. No problems at all.

- Roz (9/5): Very happy to stay here whenever I need a sleep over in Sydney - I've stayed at Mt Kuringai Motel on several occasions now and have always been happy, it's always clean, comfortable and quiet. Hard to say but if I was being really picky, I'd say the pillows were hard and not all that comfortable.

- Anne (8/5): Very comfortable and clean. It felt homely even though it was outskirts of Sydney - The staff at the motel were very friendly and lovely. There is a restaurant on site and we ordered room service (chinese cuisine) as well as breakfast which was delicious. There are about 10 rooms set in a courtyard. There was room for parking in front of each room. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. We would definitely choose to stay there again. Traffic noise was minimal/moderate
- Roseanne (9/5): -
- Lance Carter (8/5): - Nice area, pleasant place. Bit difficult with publuc transport.
- Barry (8/5): -
- Jan (5/5): It was a one off stay to be close to seeing our friends - It was the only motel close to where we needed to see friends for our stay. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It needs a complete update and overhaul. Everything is so old and dingy. The shower room and toilet is very narrow and the shower door bangs against the basin when you open it to get in or out. The walls could be cleaned and painted white, new light coloured modern bed coverings, new ceiling with modern lighting, decent updated paintings on the wall, clean new carpet, new fridge etc.
- Shaun (9/5): Good value for money for a Sydney suburban motel with very good amenities - The best thing was the value for money. For a motel in Sydney suburbia, albeit outer suburbia, it is well priced. That's not to say the rooms weren't any good, they were very good, but there is quite a variation between different rooms. Rooms 11-14 are in a converted house next door and are quite different rooms to the main motel rooms, much more spacious for a start. Nothing really, except the problem of not being able to turn right out of the motel towards Hornsby. It's not the motel's fault, but it is an issue, perhaps.
- Judy (9/5): Great stop over motel on route. Happy to have discovered KuringGai motel. - Close to Sydney this small motel offers all that you need for a stop over. It was very clean, fresh, pressed linen, well set up, quietly located off a reasonably busy road. We were welcomed easily and able to park next door to our room. Nothing to note here. Some dated furnishings but who cares when it is all functional and clean!
- Jennifer (8/5): It was a great break - I have stayed there before due to the location to my family
- Melissa (7/5): - I have not order breakfast yet. None
- Mel (10/5): - The location is great and the couple who run the place are fantastic and super friendly
- alsn (6/5): Could be better - Not a lot Close to main road and railway line, very noisy.

- Janin (9/5): - Schneller Check in, freundliches Personal, komfortables Zimmer!
- Jan (7/5): Okay - Small ensuite
- Theodorus J (8/5): Very comfortable and cozy room and facilities - Very good value Lot of dust under Bed !!
- Olaf (8/5): -
- Christina Thien (7/5): - It was clean and just had what needed There was a constant noise from 05:30 to 08:30 in the morning, someone was constantly walking back and forth. We were not able to get any rest.
