The studio is within a short distance of the Imperial Forum and the entrance at the end of the street has much shorter queues than others. A perfect base from which to explore Rome!

• Roberta (10/5): Shabby Roman Studio- ai fori Imperiali - L'appartamento si trova in un'ottima posizione, in prossimità di alcuni dei luoghi più belli della città. Inoltre, letteralmente a pochi passi, c'è anche il mercato di Campagna Amica al Circo Massimo. Infine, l'alloggio risulta essere perfetto per chiunque debba svolgere qualche prova di concorso in zona Petroselli, dato che si raggiunge in meno di 10 minuti.

• Pina (6/5): Mariangela the host is pleasant and tried to be helpful but the property itself needs upkeep. - The location was fairly good in a quieter area of Rome. The room is dated and not well-maintained: Parquet floor lifted, musty smell, old electrical requiring adapters, water damaged ceiling, uncomfortable mattress and pillows. Parking can be challenging. The television was not working at first and we had trouble with the wifi. If you are not comfortable with self check-in do not stay here.It was also expensive for what you get.

• Pamela (6/5): Warm in June - The manager was very responsive and kind. She tried hard to make us comfortable. It was uncomfortably warm. The air conditioner never got very cool. It was hot outside, so perhaps it was just an old unit that couldn't keep up. The toilet kept getting stuck in flush mode too. Bed was hard, but after a long day, it was better than the floor. Thebplace waa cute and clean and would be fine anytime, but summer.

• Olubukola (2/5): Unimpressed - Location - very close to main sights. Hosts was easy to contact. Clean. Managed to get a free car park spot downstairs (but paid in other ways as car window got smashed and luggage in the boot got stolen) HOT! HOT! HOT! 🔥 🥵. When informed of the heat and broken aircon, host said it's the first time its been reported and some waffle about Rome regulations 😅. We should have read the previous reviews better, broken Air-conditioning is mentioned several times. There's also a fan, which after 5seconds is useless in August heat. Kitchen is poorly furnished. 2 forks for 3 people? Odd bits of pots & plates. Could have done better given the price. False description..."1 living room"? Nothing of the sort. Think we were spoilt by other accommodation standards on our road trip so far. This was the most expensive but the poorest standard. High tourist tax - but I'd like to think it's Rome not the Host.

Also excellent communication with the owner, she’s just lovely. Some issues with the air conditioning and elevator, but these were quickly resolved. The ceiling is a bit thin, we could hear the people above thumping around. Otherwise the place was great. Bed was very comfortable.

Clean, easy to find. Lacks a cooler. There were issues with parking near the property, but parking is an issue in whole Rome. Mattress on the main bed was a bit old style I would say.

• Bill (10/5): Beautiful, spacious and quiet studio apartment in the heart of Ancient Tome - We loved staying at Shabby Roman Studio. The apartment is beautiful, clean, spacious, quiet and comfortable. It is well decorated and all of the furnishings are good quality. The shower is hot. A nice touch is having the kitchenette around the corner, by the door, from where you sleep. It is a great size for a family of three. The apartment block itself is beautiful with a feeling of historic grandeur. The location is perfect for exploring the attractions in the centre of Rome, especially the Forum, Colosseum, Capitoline Hill Museums and the Vittoriano. All are in easy walking distance. It is close to one of the best viewpoints of the Roman Forum. The owner is very helpful and considerate, and on hand for advice. Check in was easy. We’ve bookmarked them apartment should we come to Rome again.

• Christine (6/5): Value for the price paid. I would opt to stay closer to the Piazza Venezia bus stop - Price was great. Size of space was good. It was a charming building Air conditioner was broken and replaced with an air cooling machine. It was basically a fan. Room was too hot at night which made sleeping uncomfortable. The location was advertised as close to everything. That's true after you exit the building and walk 700m downstairs, upstairs and up a hill. Alternative was to walk a longer distance down a cobblestone rd. $6 euro per day per person cash for tourist tax was higher than expected.
• Kostas (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was perfect. Clean and comfortable. The location of the apartment was the highlight for me. Be careful if you go there by car. There is no free parking space but all around the building and also in front of it there are a lot of parking spaces (blue and white zones). But sometimes finding a spot can be a little difficult.
