Meriel (7/5): Close to beach - Very spacious 2 storey house sleeps 6 - Perfect location 2 minutes from the beach and this place is all about location so whilst we didn't have a view the proximity to the beach rates this property very highly. Large property with 2 double bedrooms upstairs and two linked rooms downstairs each with 2 single beds. Comfortable and generally clean. Outside balcony along one side suitable for eating outside or resting Large lawned garden with plenty of space. Well stocked kitchen Bathroom upstairs with toilet and small shower downstairs with separate toilet. Lots of storage. Parking is not a problem. BBQ needed cleaning and there was someone's dirty washing in the machine when we arrived. We booked for 6 and only 4 towels were put out - we did request more and eventually this was resolved but it took time. Instructions for the waste collection should be in the book and for the air con unit as the hand-written instructions on the switch made no sense to us
Vaughan (7/5): Good value bach accommodation in an excellent location. - Good value for a large traditional NZ bach. Good sized deck and the property is in an excellent location close to the beautiful Matapouri beach. Large section with plenty of room to park our cars. The hot water pressure was weak and ran out in the late afternoon and evening with our group of 8 all wanting showers at around the same time.
