Guest Reviews
- Anastasia (9/5): Beautiful relaxing stay pony’s and rabbits included - We loved how rural this cabin was, the location had pony’s which was great to see and pat them. The owners were wonderful and friendly, we both loved a chat, owner very knowledgeable of the area. The property wasn’t far from the main town. We were lucky we had gps and were able to find the property. For those looking for rusty rural setting this is it. I woke in the morning looked out my window to see rabbits eating. Loved it, I saw bumblebees on the flowers as well. Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you We don’t think this property is suitable for disabled people due to raised flooring in doorways and gravel outside as it would be difficult to manoeuvre over these surfaces.
The toilet was on a raised plinth, which is difficult for shorter people to use.
- Williams (10/5): - Lovely hosts- very friendly and helpful. Cabin was full of character, quaint and cosy. Brilliant location with private outdoor space. Very peaceful. Nothing. Would definitely recommend to others.
- Racheal (8/5): A beauty spot in mid-Wales. - The location and the warm welcome by the host. Bathroom wasn't very clean.
- Abbie (8/5): Very good - We loved how peaceful the area was and it was really nice just sitting outside relaxing and enjoying the beautiful views. The fully stocked fireplace, along with the comfortable bed made for a perfect night away.
- Joshua (10/5): 10/10 - Loved the fully stocked fireplace, working nights so the peace and quiet was ace as well. Host left milk, bread, tea and coffee.
Would stay again.
- Marsden (10/5): I stayed for work but, it felt like a holiday. - The property was open and ready for me. The directions to the property ensured that I found it easily. The directions to the property are accurate. I live in a semi-rural area and appreciate that country lanes can go on for miles. Trust the directions - you are in a rural area, and you are travelling at a slow speed, so it can seem that you are travelling further/longer than you are! The shortness of my stay! I logged in and booked extra nights.
- Marsden (10/5): Exceptional - Everything was lovely. The hosts were so friendly and helpful. Lovely rural location - plenty of peace and quiet. The cabin had everything that you could possibly need. There wasn't anything not to like!
- James (9/5): Superb - The location and the peace and quiet
- Louise (10/5): beautiful cabin in a stunning location with great hosts! - the cabin was absolutely delightful and the locality and scenery was absolutely beautiful. The hosts were so welcoming and warm. The cabin had everything i needed and the bed was incredibly comfortable. it was a quiet location and was just what i needed. nothing at all
- Richard (10/5): Such a cosey peaceful place to stay. Definitely one of the best places we've stayed. - An absolutely amazing place would recommend to anyone and would definitely return.
So peaceful and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay Nothing - everything was excellent
- Sharon (10/5): Perfect exactly what we were looking for ! - No noise so quiet ! Everything was just right how we wanted it , very clean and comfy bed ! Good cooking facilities too. We got no eggs!!
- Caitlin (9/5): Just what we needed - Fresh milk in the fridge, salt pepper oil etc provided, extra blanket provided. Plenty of hot water and a comfy bed Whilst local recommendations were provided it would have been handy to have a map of the local area as little to no Internet so we're not sure where amenities were/distances.
- Vera (10/5): A peaceful place for the soul. - I like mostly the fact that made me feel like I’m home. Far from the noise of the towns, a peaceful place with beautiful views, fresh air. The property was clean, cozy, every aspect really made us feel like we’re home. You have everything you need in case you’re planning to cook something, in case it’s cold, you can make the fire with no problems. I would definitely recommend this place with all my heart.
- Kevin (10/5): ‘Little House on the Prairie’ - Very quiet and away from the hustle of day to day life. We had two freshly laid eggs for our salad, lovely gesture. Good communication as the main road was closed off during our arrival time. Nothing to not like about, out of this world perfect 😍
- James (10/5): Amazing location, cosey and affordable - Nice and cosey, helped with starting the fire and a couple of free range eggs sorted my morning out.
- Jenny (9/5): Lovely! Lovely position, and everything for my comfort was provided. - It is a bit difficult to find but the instructions are good, and its isolation is what's most charming. Wood-burning stove great, everything for my comfort present. I was sent the instructions but all of my replies via booking.com failed to send. I'm sure that I could have contacted the host directly if I'd needed or wanted to.
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cosy cottage Nothing

- David (9/5): Great building, gorgeous location and friendly host - highly recommend. - The place felt really special. Wifi would be useful if I needed to stay longer.
- Adam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ingrid (9/5): Perfect for our overnight break. - Quiet location, friendly and helpful hosts. Very comfortable bed.
- Charlie (10/5): A perfect, private country getaway - Honestly couldn't fault it! We managed to find it easily even though there was no reception (we expected no signal as its so remote). Beautiful little cabin with perfect little kitchen, enough storage space, comfy bed, well equipped bathroom with good water pressure! Owners were incredibly kind and welcoming and especially loved their beautiful dogs. We will 100% be returning! The only issue I can think of is that there were only two glasses in the kitchen, but really not a problem.
- Branwen (9/5): Superb - The log cabin was a good size, and had a fully working compact kitchen (microwave, grill, hotplate, fridge freezer, etc). The wood burner was great and kept us warm in the blustery Welsh weather! Lovely views and a good welcome from the owner. Not much really!! If I'm being picky - I would add a bowl for microwave cooking.
- Caroline (10/5): Calm and remote R&R. - The place was set up and decorated with care and attention to detail (with even milk in the fridge). The host was extremely helpful and nice. Overall, perfect to unplug and relax. Because it's so remote, there was almost no phone network and no Wifi, so best get organized before getting there. But the host did kindly offer to go up to their house if in dire need.
- Michaela (10/5): Amazing weekend in amazing cabin! - If you are looking for a comfy stay in middle of nowhere with no signal you are at the right place. Loved every minute of it and only wish we could stay longer.
- Warner (10/5): Exceptional - The location was amazing and so peaceful.
The cabin was warm and cosy. It had everything we needed for a short stay. The host was so kind and helpful, we couldn't ask for better! For longer stays (we only stayed 2 nights), it would probably be ideal to have a small oven, but unfortunately, there was no room for one.
- Lauren (10/5): The best cabin I have ever stayed in! - Everything! The cabin was so cosy and with it being in a rural area, the views were absolutely stunning. We didn’t need to pack half the things we brought because the log cabin had everything we needed. The bed was so comfy and the log burner was lovely Nothing
- Offiong (8/5): Satisfactory - Lovely place. Lovely host. No internet and no network coverage.
- Margaret (7/5): Good -
- Melanie (8/5): If you enjoy the natural environment, peace and tranquility and walking it’s a great place to stay - The location was peaceful and relaxing. The bed was very comfortable. I only stayed for 2 nights but would be more than happy to stay for a week or two. a small oven would have been good.
- Martin (9/5): Lovely retreat for one night in the countryside yet close to amenities via a short drive. - Doors were open on arrival. Owner called to explain facilities soon after.
Loved been in open countryside. Pony in the field. Views for miles.
Lodge was cosy and warm and very clean. Kitchen for cooking but we are out.
Bed was comfortable. Shower hot and powerful.
I lost two rings in the lodge. The owner found them and kindly posted them. I was very grateful. Great service. The only thing is without curtains which is great for the view, but not so great when the sun blasted in at 5.30 am waking us after a late night out. Also not so good re privacy though only neighbour is the owner still felt a bit conscious.
Other than that a lovely retreat and will go back.
- Tracy (10/5): Warm welcome from host on arrival. Log cain very cosy and had everything needed for our stay. Bed very comfy and log bur - Quaint cute cosy log cabin with amazing views nothing we did not like - it was perfect
- Kathryn (9/5): Superb - Hospitality couldn't be faulted , everything provided and horses to gaze on. Beautiful. The sat nav!!! Trust directions given.
- Zoltan (10/5): Exceptional - Had an amazing 2 days stay in the cabin.hosts are very kind , very helpful and very nice couple. The place is very quiet and peaceful, loved my weekend there. I will go again 100%
