Guest Reviews
- Robert (8/5): We hebben het goed gehad - Goed ingerichte appartementen. Enige nadeel is dat het dicht langs een drukke weg ligt.
- John (8/5): -
- Gemma (10/5): Would stay again - We came as a family of 5 location was perfect central to most of chester everything within walking distance, apartment spacious and clean, Amy very friendly and approachable nothing to big or small to ask Traffic outside can be loud on the night however it did not effect our stay nor is it something that can be helped
- Sarah (8/5): We had such a fabulous time away just us girls. It’s just what we needed. - The apartment was nice and cosy. We loved the little terrance at the back. The only thing we didn’t like was the noise of the load traffic, which we understand cannot be helped. That was the only downfall to our trip as we struggled to get a good night sleep.
- Danielle (8/5): -
- Mairéad (1/5): Couldn't even stay one night - Nothing It was not clean, at all. Door to apartment had been kicked in several times and poorly repaired. Thread bare carpet on stairs up to apartment. Stained carpet and bathroom flooring in apartment. Furniture was grubby and stained
- Cross (9/5): - Amy was very attentive and helpful throughout our stay of a large group of people. We had a great time in Chester
- Casa (10/5): Perfect Chester apartment, had an amazing stay at Mia’s Place. - The apartment was cosy and warm and had everything needed for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and the books and games were a real bonus. I booked the second floor balcony apartment and the balcony was a great addition to the apartment even in December. The canal side walk in to Chester was lovely. All good.
- Christiana (2/5): Great location but heating problems and poor cleanliness - The location was very central to the town. There was free parking from 17:00 on Friday till 8:30 Monday The heating was not working when we checked in, and the radiators were off. This was only resolved the following afternoon, leaving the house very cold and uncomfortable after a long day of travelling, especially with guests arriving in the early hours after a long flight. The temporary fan heaters provided were not safe to use, as they produced electric sparks.
The host later shared a storage room code, where we found a single small radiator that could only be used in one bedroom.
Cleanliness was below expectations. Some cups and plates still had coffee and food stains, and the heater and bedroom fans were very dusty with visible fluff buildup. Although a jar with coffee sachets and teabags was provided, there were no sugar or milk portions, and used sachets and teabags had been left in the jar.
Also, the kitchen table and coffee tables were very wobbly and not fit for purpose. The shower head was also leaking when off the holder, spraying water across the bathroom.
The compensation offered by the host was under 5% of the total amount paid, which did not feel proportionate to the overall negative experience.
- michael (9/5): Short walk into Chester, 6 adults stayed in the flat, but still had plenty of room, would definitely recommend property - Location, easy to get in, warm, clean. Had a problem with the hot water Saturday morning & the owner had it sorted within the hour. Dripping tap in the kitchen, shower head loose & kept falling down & very loud in both bedrooms on the road side, noise from traffic.
- Stephen (10/5): Excellent location easy walk to Chester and local shops - Excellent location easy 5 min walk into Chester
- janice (3/5): - On a very busy road into the city, a lot of noise in bedroom, carpet in living area dirty, says private parking it's only from 5pm to 8am at a Drs surgery you then have to move it, first time of doing a airbnb and think it will be the last,
- Alison (9/5): - great for a group traffic noise
- ashleigh (7/5): Nice comfortable stay, but needs minor improvements. - Central to town. Barrie’s Netflix account on the tv. Kitchen well equipped. Fans we a good extra. Too hot in hallway, do not know here heat was coming from. Advertised garden equipment but no direction on how to access “garden”. Knives not very sharp, couldn’t cut a tomato. But otherwise all good.
- Shah Noazul (2/5): -
- Samantha (6/5): Average. Decent location but other aspects let it down such as the uncomfortable beds, lack of bedding and towels. - Living area ie Lounge and kitchen were decent.
The location was decent too, just a short walk into the centre. The host was very good at getting in touch up too and on the day we arrived. Beds were not good. Uncomfortable and falling to bits. We were given a z bed as the sofa bed was out of action but there was no bedding for it. We found a duvet stuffed under the sofa, but there was no cover. All a bit unclean looking. No bath towels provided either.
- Tasha (9/5): Amazing - That it was fully furnished, the owner and staff were very welcoming and kind, we were able to book all 4 apartments which gave us the whole building to my family N/A
- Kai (10/5): -
- Kai (10/5): -
- Matt (10/5): A really handy place for a large group in Chester - Mias place was ideal. It is a single building that contains 4x individual 2-bed apartments each with their own key code operated front doors. We booked all 4 which was great to allow us all to stay together. The rooms were comfortable, clean and well equipped with fridges and freezers. The location was a ~10-15 minute walk into Chester. Minor problem but sometimes the screens on the locks on the doors didn't respond straight away
- Carie (9/5): Superb - Lovely clean accommodation and very accommodating hosts. We needed a later check out due to unexpected circumstances and the hosts couldn't have been more understanding and helpful. Sofa bed was a little uncomfortable but realise 8t's not a 'proper bed'
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (8/5): Very good -
- Jordan (10/5): Value for money! - Very good value for money. The host was excellent and provided lots of information before the visit. The property is entirely keyless which helped as we had a big group of people staying. Facilities-wise, it has everything we hoped for. The free evening and weekend parking was also a bonus. Would definitely stay here again. Very little negative to say about. If I had to be critical then I'd say it was looking a little shabby/ run down. However the price reflects that.
- Liam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hannah (10/5): Brilliant host, perfect location - So accommodating, great communication, locations was great would 100% recommend for a big group travelling to chester we booked all 4 apartments.
- Sinead (10/5): Fabulous apartment, close to city centre and ideal for larger parties or groups - The property itself is amazing! It is 4 separate apartments, each with 2x double bedrooms, kitchen and living room space. 10 minute walking distance to the city centre, each apartment was spotlessly clean, decorated lovely and the host was brilliant! Arrival instructions are easy to follow - Loved it! Car parking is at the Health Centre across the road which is easy enough but if you have a lot of luggage it may require multiple journeys which would be a hassle if you had small children. Also the stairs are quite steep and some of our party with mobility issues found this unnerving
- Jillian (8/5): Very good -
- Mikaylah (7/5): Good for a weekend stay. - Amy was a great host- she was quick to help fix an issue with the heating & hot water when we unexpectedly got a cold snap during our stay & affecting this.
Catered for kids with some board games & books etc.
The beds were quiet comfortable. Amy has done her best to cater for parking. Wish the listing didn’t advertise parking though as it was not an easy process. Can only park between 5pm & 8am across the road at a doctors surgery. Which meant we had to be up early every day to then move the car to Waitrose carpark further down the road. The apartment is on a very busy road & intersection so can be quite dangerous with kids but also noisey at night.
Things like towels and bin bags were not considered when preparing the unit for our two week stay. We were supplied with the bare minimum. Not a big issue but maybe something for the host/cleaners to think about.
- Gareth (9/5): Very good, would book again - Very good Parking during week
- Josephine (7/5): Close to city centre but next to a very busy road. - Parking was tricky as could only park nearby from 5.00pm-8.30am. Had to park elsewhere which wasn’t easy to find.
