Guest Reviews
- Wendy (10/5): -
- ann (7/5): Comfortable - prefer more facilities for a self catering - The bed was comfortable, the location was ideal for why were were visiting Wellington. It was easy to find with Sat Nav. Host was very helpful, but had other things been in place we would not have needed to contact. What would improve the self catering from someone who regularly stays in self catering accommodation for work and personal visit around UK. 1. basic milk, coffee, tea available - we had an arduous drive down due to Motorway crashes and arrived later than expected (8 hour journey) to find nothing available. 2. Iron/ironing facilities would have been very useful, 3. Information pack about the area e.g. places to visit, contact numbers e.g. GP, Vets, suggested places to eat in the surrounding area
- Beth (10/5): Cosy - Cosy Nothing
- Melanie (10/5): Will definitely be visiting again - Such a quaint little cottage in a lovely location. Was exceptionally clean and totally felt at home there as soon as I walked in š The only thing negative I could say is I would like to see some newer chairs & tables outside as the ones in situ looked very tired
- Jo (8/5): - Nice peaceful location and a perfect size for one person. The mattress and pillows were a little lumpy so not very comfortable.
- Jennette (10/5): - Beautiful setting. Highly recommend
- Beth (10/5): - Quite and cozy Slightly cold
- Jackie (5/5): - Location is beautiful and Sally was quick to respond to my queries as I booked and when I arrived. Good thick curtains and carpet looked new. Bed was fine for me. Parking was great, right next to the property and big enough for a large vehicle. There is shop in the village which was very good. The room was cold upon arrival and didn't really warm up even when I put the heating on so had to get into bed. There is no heating in the bathroom. It would help to put WiFi instructions somewhere noticeable and agree with previous visitors that tea and coffee would be nice. I stay at numerous places across the country and at this level of price those facilities are always there. If you have mobility problems then the steps up to the bathroom and kitchen area could be an issue.
- Elizabeth (9/5): Would like to return, as very close to family. - The view was lovely, & parked our car right outside. Settee stained
- Frank (8/5): -
- Ryan__D (8/5): - Has everything you need for a short stay. The bed was a little uncomfortable for me but was ok for a night.
- Patricia (8/5): Very peaceful with beautiful views, easy access only thing wrong was the uncomfortable bed. - N/A Bed was poor quality & mattress was uncomfortable
- Gab 3 (10/5): - The cottage was spotless wounderfull views and very peacefull. Our host Sally could not have been more helpful.
- Amanda (9/5): -
- S (10/5): ššššš - The views and the peacefulness N/A

- Melanie (9/5): Charming ,every you needed fab views. - Fab little place , loved layout, lovely kitchen, lovely views, lovely waking up to horses outside your veranda. Only negative I would say is the bistro set on the patio needed a good lick of paint .
As a dog owner & with property being dog friendly at an extra cost ,it would have been nice if the back garden where the patio was was possibly enclosed so dog could be left off their lead, I have a well behaved dog but it was all open so I had to tie him up when we left the patio doors open.
Otherwise a charming place & spot with some fab sunsets.
- Kate (7/5): Comfortable Little Retreat for a Stopover - Location was convenient for us. Pleasant rural setting.
Comfortable and well equipped. Outside area needs TLC. Rusty furniture and cracked concrete isn't very inviting for sitting outside!
Decor is a bit tired, a window catch was broken and the window sills could have been cleaner.
- Dominic (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christine (8/5): Very good -
- Mo (8/5): Very good - Peaceful and out of the way. The steps up to the kitchen/bathroom areas.
- Sarah (8/5): Very good - Lovely little cottage with amazing views and nice walks.
Host communicated well.
The cottage was lovely and clean. The bed and sofa were both uncomfortable, which made for a long night both watching a film and then trying to sleep.
There was no welcome book, so no info of local area such as recommendations for pubs, takeaways , walks ect.
Salt and pepper in the kitchen would have been handy.
- Matthew (9/5): Superb - Cottage was well equipped and had fantastic views, very peaceful location. Host was very helpful and easy to communicate with via the booking app. I can't really fault anything although If I was being very picky it would have been nice to have a better quality bed duvet and linen, likewise towels but what we were provided with was perfectly adequate. Tv signal was abit poor during worser weather and could probably do with an aerial booster. We would defiantly stay again.
- Katherine (5/5): pleasant enough. - the property was beautifully located and as described. communication was easy too. the first night there it was FREEZING at night but ok after it warmed up for the rest of the stay. I think maybe it could have done with a blanket or two and maybe some little touches like teabags.
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Charlie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Julia (7/5): Good - Good location. Great view. It was a little cold but it was the weekend of the storm.
- Susan (9/5): Superb -
- William (7/5): Good - Quite located Bed a bit hard for me but could be fine for someone else
- Debbie (8/5): Very good - great location , and facilities nothing
- Helen (10/5): A hidden gem! - Fabulous find! Nicely tucked away with a great view. Parking space right by the property. Easy to get in. Lovely kitchen, really clean and cosy. Wi-fi was really good too. Would definitely stay here again.
- Tanya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Watkin (9/5): Superb - Very nice property, very helpful host & lovely views. N/A
- Julie (8/5): Lovely but they could have done more to make you feel welcome - Location was great. It was small but lovely The toilet seat was broken. The cupboard where you hung your clothes smelt musty. There was nothing to sweep or hoover.
Most places where we stay leave tea/coffee/ milk. There was none of this. Iām sure other guests leave stuff like that on leaving but there was nothing. Otherwise nice place
- Gslevin59 (10/5): Exceptional - Location was excellent, beautiful place a little gem. The views alone are worth the cost. Great communication from the host, really detailed instructions. Beautifully clean, well equipped. Just couldn't fault the place. No dislikes only positives
- Bob (10/5): Fabulous Cottage to stay in. Hope to book again. - Lovely Cottage. Quiet and peaceful. Ideal location for our business trip. Nothing
- Matt (8/5): Extremely comfortable and had a really good time! - Beautiful cottage and the host was superb and very helpful! Not a lot to do within walking distance, no pubs nearby.
- Gillian (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable and peaceful - Quiet rural location
- Beth (9/5): Great host, stunning location - would defo visit again! - The space, cleanliness and location The bed was slightly stiff- many people would like this but I prefer a much softer bed.
- Natalia (9/5): Lovely cottage stay - Lovely cottage, very peaceful location. Fully equipped kitchen and a great chippy nearby. Dog friendly, but make sure that your dog is okay with horses, as they can be right outside your door! Would be nice to have more comfort touches, such as wi-fi password provided somewhere visible (we only stayed one night, so didn't bother searching/asking), shower gel in the bathroom and some tea in the cupboard would be lovely.
- Christopher (9/5): Superb - Well presented in quiet location.
