GREAT location , slap bang on the doorstep of the daily market. FANTASTIC . The towels and bedding smelt soooooo good. Close to everything , including taxis and station and loads of cafes , restaurants and bars. And the view just a few steps away...AWESOME!!! There was nothing to complain about!!

• Laura (10/5): - Die Lage ist absolut super, viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe und trotzdem sehr ruhig in der Wohnung. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu Fuß erreichbar. Die Wohnung ist klein, aber sehr schön eingerichtet und mit allem Nötigen ausgestattet. Blitzsauber. Peppe ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit und hat uns viele nützliche Tipps bezüglich Parken und allem, was es in Ortigia zu sehen gibt gegeben.

The host helped us to find a place to park the car for the 2 days or our stay, for free. He also gave us recommendations on restaurants and sights. In summary, if in Ortigia in the future, we will look for this apartment.

• Milan (10/5): Top-tier host and location - Giuseppe is friendly and attentive and has clear instructions and tasteful recommendations prepared and is available during your whole stay. The location is right in the heart of Ortigia so you won’t have to walk longer than 10 minutes for anything. Room is clean and well-equipped even for small cooking. If you’re renting a car and think you’re a good driver, you haven’t driven in Sicily

• Marcin (9/5): Great central location at fish market in Ortigia! - Wonderful host and great location in Ortigia, with access to to a parking just in front of the apartment. The room was perfectly clean and fully equipped with a kitchenette with utensils, and even an espresso maker. No complaints!

Wie im Titel ausgedrückt, für anspruchslose Rucksacktouristen bestens - für frühere Rucksacktouristen wie wir, die dann ab 30…40 doch eher ein 3-Stern Niveau mögen, ist diese Unterkunft nicht wirklich begeisternd. Wir verstehen auch nicht weshalb viele Gäste eine Gesamtnote von 10 vergeben (war‘s vielleicht der Charm des Vermieters?) Faire Bewertung für Lage und Gastgeber: eine 10 Faire Gesamtbewertung aus unserer Sicht: eine 8. alles sehr eng, praktisch kein Fenster bzw. lediglich Lüftungsfenster, Türschlösser defekt, bedenklich sind die Gittertore, welche sich nur elektrisch öffnen lassen (Fluchtweg??)

• Jaehun (10/5): great Medusa - This place was absolutely perfect in every way. Most of all, the host was incredibly kind and thoughtful. Thanks to Pepe, we were able to enjoy a beautiful sunset at a very special spot. The next day, even on such short notice, he arranged a sunset boat tour for us – it was truly unforgettable. He even let us have a later check-out time, which made everything so much more relaxed and enjoyable. The location, the cleanliness, the warm hospitality – everything was flawless. We felt so well taken care of, and we’re truly grateful for this amazing stay. Thank you so much! The best part? There’s truly nothing to improve – everything was just perfect.

• Karen (10/5): Exceptional - The location was right in the market, yet the room was really quiet. It's also very close to the promenade along the sea. Pepe was an excellent host. It was a small apartment with not as many windows as I generally like but it was clean as a whistle and suited our needs.

The host Peppe was attentive and always responsive to any questions via Whats App. He messaged us prior to arrival with a video of where to drive and where to park. The apartment is a studio style, so quite compact, but Peppe has everything required for a comfortable stay. We spent minimal time in our room. It's a vibrant area, when you walk down in the morning you are greeted with fresh food markets and an amazing array of places to indulge in delicious Sicilian food. By 4pm the place changes completely. We loved the location and was so impressed with Peppe's attention to anything we needed. There is free parking available too. Thank you Peppe.
• Alison (10/5): Ortigia is a beautiful picturesque town. Lots a lanesway to loose yourself in to find some hidden treasures with amazing - Peppe our host was always available and greeted us upon arrival and even helped with my bags. The apartment is how it is described. Amazing location.

• Jane (10/5): An excellent position to explore both Ortygia and Syracuse. - Very close to everything that we wanted to see in Ortygia. Right next to some excellent fresh food markets, and yet we could hear no noise from these in our room. Peppe was an excellent host and went beyond the call of duty by helping us find a parking space when we arrived, then helping us move our luggage to the room, and then back to our car on check out. Excellent service from a very friendly and helpful host. Nothing - all good.

Gave us tips where to eat, kept us parking out of his own will. The room had all required needs. A larger window wouldn't hurt but cannot really say I did not like one single thing.
• Robert (10/5): Exceptional - Certainly location, but more importantly, our host, Anita, was there to greet us, helped us to locate free parking, and made sure the property was up to standard, even to the extent of providing a new hair dryer since the original had been damaged by the prior guest. Her efforts, including restaurant recommendations, made a big difference in insuring the success of our first visit to Siracusa. Walking out of the building on the first morning of our visit and directly into the daily.market was magical!
• Lidija (5/5): Passable - Location is great. Outside the door of this building is the fresh market every day, very convenient to buy fresh produce, sandwiches or a coffee, and interesting. Host is very easy communicative, friendly and helpful, tried to find us parking but at the end we found a better spot than his. He greeted us to give us the keys and to show us the apartment. Two metal grid doors to be opened with keys- one is to enter the apartment building, the other one in the middle of the two flights of stairs, and then when you reach the first floor, you go through winding corridor to reach this property. Aircon was good. Wifi was good. The host also sent us via Whatsapp links to restaurants, cafes and boat tours. Unfortunately, the host being a good guy could not compensate for all that is wrong with this property (see below). I have never regretted this much my choice when booking travel accommodation. Firstly, this is not a 'one bedroom apartment' (it is advertised as such!), this is a STUDIO, and a small, claustrophobic one, with one of the walls (the right hand side one as you enter) weirdly winding. We don't suffer from claustrophobia(!), but I can tell you, we could hardly wait to get out of there after we wake up, it was THAT unpleasant. Truly, it looks like a detention. So small and with only one tiny, tiny, tiny window in a corner! See attached photos. We booked three nights as we wanted to explore so much around amazing Syracuse, but this was our big mistake. We travelled around Sicily, all our accommodations were amazing, for similar cost/s. This was a big disappointment. Bathroom is outdated, fixtures old, clunky, faucet came out (or the sink was filling up with water!) and was so very dirty I couldn't believe, and also around the sink tap (photo attached)- I was not amused, coming from a previous fabulous apartment in Noto - everything opposite of this place. The shower here is also outdated, so small that a bit overweight person would struggle, I am certain. The shower trickles water. I would have appreciated more honest reviews from travellers here, instead of them obviously carelessly writing nonsense. Maybe it's about the host's earnings, but also, it is about travellers like us, and our accommodation choices - to enhance, or to ruin your travel experiences - how many times in life you'd travel and see Syracuse?!

The apartment has a small kitchenette and is located next to the fresh food market so easy to get fresh food. Despite the busy location it was very quiet and peaceful in the apartment. Parking was a nightmare. Although there is parking outside it is almost impossible to get a spot even in the evening.

Easy and punctual check-out. Amazing central location, tasty paninis at the deli "Borderi" across the street. What's not to like? Nothing! Perfect value for money.

It is very central with a food market at the door, all main restaurants and attractions are a few minutes walking from the apartment.
